This is my most frequented Starbucks! 207 check-ins and still going. Similar to other locations they have cold brew on tap! I like to stop here when I'm heading to Observatory Park. The baristas, service, and environment are decent here. The space is smaller, but it works well since there are fewer internet squatters. Occasionally in the past, I would grab a bagel from Bruegger's Bagel before my walk to the park. Today I noticed it was under construction. Looks like an Einstein's Bagel is moving in soon! Quick stop after almost falling into a food coma after brunch. Needed a caffeine fix prior to getting back on the freeway for the next hour and a half. Found this location near the University of Denver close tot the freeway. No drive thru so had to park and go inside. Relatively small strip mall but managed to find parking easily. Fairly small location but decent seating options available including a community table, smaller tables and a few loungers. Ordered our drinks and to my dismay, raspberry syrup is no longer an option. I liked to add it before to get a chocolate covered berry flavor to my Java Chip Frap. Remembered they offered strawberry purée now. So after I ordered I asked if they could add it. They gladly did so without hesitation. Kathleen put together the most amazing Frap! The balance was perfect. Chocolaty yet got a hint of fruit. Yummers! Worth the stop for sure. My friend and visited this Starbucks location a couple of times. The first time was to hydrate on a nearly 100°F July day. The second time was after eating dinner at Jason's Thai Asian, which is in the plaza next to this Starbucks. Even on a hot day, my friend will always get hot tea. As for me, I seem to be a melting mess when it gets hot outside. I got my usual iced peach green tea. It hit the spot. I liked the quality of my beverages here. They were consistently yummy and refreshing. The baristas were friendly. There were plenty of places to sit down, relax, and chat. My second visit consisted of pulling into the Starbucks parking lot, and then walking over to the restaurant. Sadly, the parking lots are not connected. Still, it wasn't a tragedy to have the car parked and walk to wherever you needed to be. After dinner, we had a beverage before calling it a day. It wasn't all that busy. This place is always packed with students from DU. Finding the parking space is bit difficult but once in, you can order the coffee from this place and get your bagel fix from next door. The baristas are phenomenal at this location. I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and was greeted right away. I had a large order, 10 different coffee drinks to go, and they didn't flinch. My order was accurate, super fast, and the girls behind the counter managed to accommodate me with a way to easily carry 10 drinks out the door with my two hands...all with friendly service and smiles. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I've been to starbucks in 39 different states. Upon living by this Starbucks for a year I have experienced 1. Tainted bottled beverage not refunded 2. Manager telling me my opinion on tainted bottled beverage is wrong 3. Too much ice in any iced drinks 4. Not properly mixing matcha powder for iced matcha latte 5. Not offering to correcting order not received 6. Not having door unlocked during business hours 7. Painfully slow service on this day at this location. The store seemed under staffed and employees seemed confused about which orders had been fulfilled. The order printer/ sticker machine may have been partly to blame. Contrast this with a few years back when Starbucks was working on their service process (or so it seemed)...they would frequently give you vouchers for a free coffee if they were slow to get your order. Sometimes they gave you a voucher even when they weren't that slow. Today was so slow, if I had been at another location, I could have gone through the register, paid and received three coffees from three separate orders all in the same amount of time. Thankfully, we have our smartphones to pacify us...or direct us to the next nearest coffee shop. Oh well, it's Starbucks afterall...does a Yelp review even matter? read more

Just moved into the area and found this Starbucks to be just a 10 minute stroll from my apartment. My best friend and I have had great experiences with the staff here being really friendly, fast (it gets busy and we've never had to wait long for our drinks) and accommodating...Luke was especially awesome serving us and brightened our day! read more

This is the 5th or 6th time these girls ruin my tea! How can you fuck up tea??? They either put the wrong tea bags in or they don't put the vanilla.... it's like 2 ingredients! I talked to them 3 times and it still happening, went back to have them add the vanilla or another Starbucks to fix their mistake. Since I moved, this is my new commute Starbucks. The baristas are friendly and efficient, their coffee drinks are good and standard for Starbucks, and the bakery case is always well-stocked. Due to the location, I'm guessing this is a student hangout and probably swamped during the day. However, I'm there before 7:30, and I've never had more than a few people ahead of me in line and I always get a parking spot, so you definitely don't have to worry about crowds then. The only good thing about this Starbucks seems to be its location for DU students. And the staff is pretty friendly. But don't come here to get work done or to study. The wifi is more likely to not work than it is to actually work. Update: They can't get their drinks straight to save their lives. I won't mention any names, but every time a certain guy works the register my drink gets screwed up. Today it seems like he got the drink labeled right, but the baristas didn't know what they were doing. 1. I order a green tea lemonade with light ice, labeled clearly on the cup. 2. Very poor service I got there early didn't wait in line asked for a dirty double chai they gave me a single also ordered a sandwich and everyone behind me got their orders while I stood there waiting, I asked where it was they told me it was coming I waited for another 10 min until the manager finally came up and asked me what I was waiting for had to sit there for another 5 min because they didn't even make it for me this is the third time since I've started working in Denver that this has happened to me at this location. My 3421st review of a Starbucks. Not really, it just seems that way. My daughter likes to refer to this location as, "the special Starbucks". It is so named due to the fact that go there after the special occassion of swimming or gymnastics. The service is good, the employees are nice, and it's clean. My only complaint is that the parking lot is almost always on the verge of being full. Given the proximity to DU, this hould not come as a surprise. Be forewarned. read more

The usual college coffe hub, always busy and parking is a disaster. Stay away from the dark cherry mocha, kinda tastes like there's cough syrup in my drink... DO NOT waste your money on their cupcakes! Flavor is good, but they are super dry like they'd been sitting in the case for a week. For what they charge, you are better off finding a specialty cupcake store and getting something great. read more

This morning I arrived at this Starbucks at 430am (the time this store opens) before my 5am shift. Two women were working to set up inside. I was standing outside the door trying to get their attention to inquire when they would be opening. Both women ignored me, one being right next to the door. There was also another gentleman waiting for the store to be open. After waiting for 6 minutes outside I had to leave for work. It would be nice and courteous if one of the women was able to tell us they were running behind and wouldn't be able to open on time. Very unprofessional. read more

This is my "home base" Starbucks as I attended school at DU. Now that I am graduated I find I have a sense of nostalgia when I walk into its coffee scented interior. I love this Starbucks and all the people in it. Yes, the parking lot is a pain; it's small and people try to park their enormous SUVs and end up taking 2 precious spaces. I love the large patio area that Starbucks shares with Breuggers Bagels, it's a great place to meet with friends or watch the circus that is passing period at DU. The baristas here are friendly and efficient. Expect long lines here pretty much all the time as it's the closest Starbucks to the DU campus. If you are a student at DU, you are pretty much guaranteed to see someone you know here, either in line or behind the pastry case. read more

I was in Starbucks this morning and Lindsay was on a rampage she was banging tins and slamming drawers and she was just really really ratchet. it was just a mess and she was really rude to the young lady who is working the register who actually made my visit very enjoyable but once I experienced Lindsay I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I was so uncomfortable and just wanted to leave, and it took forever for the drinks to be made, and once I finally got my drink I did not even realize that she made my drink incorrectly. I could not even ask her to remake my new drink because they had to send her to the back for a time out. I don't think I'll be back.
