Went thru drive thru after 10 this morning. I actually waited in the street before getting to order. I ordered almost 70'worth of food and drink for my visiting guests. I use this location frequently, very frequently have never had an issue until today. My total was 68 something, thought ok give $10 tip brings to 78$ ish should be able to swing change for that...? Nope, just can't was the answer. Ok. Called corporate they said shouldn't have been an issue. Hmmmm. Well, lost a paying customer WHO TIPPED YOU EVERYTIME! Will NEVER BE BACK! this place sucks, i live in a bigger city and have visited many Starbucks establishments and the Del Rio location is by far the worst i've been to, no matter which kind of coffee i get it's always watered down, too much milk and very little ice after asking for EXTRA ice, i've tried mochas, espresso, lattes everything and they all taste bad the only good thing they have as for drinks are the Refreshers or Teas, as for service they're not horrible just normal but the other day they parked an entire car in front of the drive thru because i'm assuming they were busy ? never seen a starbucks do that with a car but with a sign saying "drive thru closed" read more

If you don't have enough staff to serve the outside drive through and the inside orders, perhaps close access to one or the other. I stood there watching employees make coffee and take drive through orders and no one came to help me. I ended up leaving after I watched several drive through orders be taken and served. read more

Former avid daily Starbucks customer until I moved to Del Rio. Oh my! The drive thru & in person experience is excruciatingly painful. *slow as molasses in a freeze service all around *drive thru wait appears intentionally slow *drive-thru person to even greet 1 appears to be milking the clock *instruction to pull to window for order ahead takes 2+ minutes *consistently out of food items. *interior is dirty when I've gone in after losing my waiting in the drive-thru *For the most part, the barista or whomever just places drinks on the counter. *the accuracy of purchased drinks is completely avoidable; example, ordering a simple cafe latte w/ 1 Splenda, whipped cream & almond milk and the Splenda & whipped cream are missing when it's on the order ahead label or ordered extra espresso shots. On 8/25/24 at approx 10:07 am, drive thru - closed & order ahead unavailable, 7 customers were waiting inside the store to place an order with 1 register including a drive thru employee. Seriously. The fastest drive-thru wait I experienced in Houston was 7 cars in the drive thru which took 3 minutes for me to reach the window. 1 lady had 4 drinks, another paid with cash. No wonder Starbucks revenue is down. Thank God for my rancilio espresso machine and vario coffee bean grinder. read more

The baristas in this location are friendly and wonderful! The manager, Adriana, is fabulous and she really takes care of the place. They have a Little Free Library location for the patrons (or anyone) with books for kids and adults. I order Starbucks a lot. And I mean a lot, but have recently decided to stop going/ordering. For some reason unknown the ladies there would always make my drink incorrectly by leaving out ingredients which definitely is noticeable. Having to go back for a remake time after time was annoying when they should have gotten it right the first time. Contrary to popular belief, the service is actually pretty good here. My bubbly barista greeted & served me promptly prior to heading on US 90E back to San Antonio. Of course, the product was consistent with its flavor & caffeine content. It's really hard to mess up a Starbucks order, and this location in Del Rio did not disappoint. The one weird thing about the drive-thru is that it has two arrows pointing in opposite directions, as if to indicate two-way traffic. Head scratcher as to why the engineers designed it this way. This can be confusing, especially if you haven't has your caffeine yet. Even more so if you are just bent or a little "off." Either way, this Starbucks served its purpose well. read more

***During COVID-19 Visit*** Only Starbucks in town. Hours can sometimes be unpredictable so come early as you can to get your fix. Drive thru can get quite packed so be prepared for that as well. Never had a bad experience here and the employees are very friendly. They're always complimentary whenever I come through such as asking how my day is, etc. At the time, they weren't making drinks if you use your own personal cup that you purchased from Starbucks, but that may be different now. read more

Definitely I would rate this less than one star if I could. My first experience I walked up to the counter and two baristas were just chatting away. They both saw that I was there waiting to be helped and they completely ignored me for about 5 minutes. They didn't greet me or say hi, just simply asked what I wanted. They took my order fine but when my drinks came out both were a mess. Foolishly I went back another time hoping for a better experience but was again disappointed. I order a Carmel macchiato and it tasted disgusting. No sweetener in it. Milk definitely wasn't steamed right. Just overall disappointing. Very unpredictable service. I am a massive SB fan but they are constantly closed *during* business hours and always understaffed. Don't count on getting what you ordered... I never do. I order an iced beverage, I get a hot one. I order a hot beverage, it comes out iced. Half the amount of syrup please? No. You get double syrup!! Starbucks usually isn't worth dropping $5 for a coffee anyway but when you do, you at least expect to get what you ordered. I've come here nearly every weekend that I've been in Del Rio for my caffeine fix, and to get some work/studying/reading done. It seems the less than stellar reviews noted sub-par service, or accosting Starbucks for being a Starbucks. I have utilized both online ordering with the Starbucks app, and ordered through the counter. The 'Baristas' are always friendly, and haven't slipped up on an order of mine yet (albeit I'm a simple black coffee kinda guy). I am partial to Starbuck's Blonde Roast, and anytime time it is not readily available I'm instantly offered a Pour-Over. The seating area here is relatively small, yet totally functional, and fits the demand the local community places on it. If I could give less than one star I would. The service is either slow or slower. When I'm the only one at the drive thru and no one is inside, it should not take more than 10min for my order. I've had multiple orders that were just entirely wrong or orders where they forgot to give me parts of it. 99% of the time I have to repeat my order because they didn't hear it or understand it the first time. (I get the same thing every time...apparently a venti chai latte is complicated.) The baristas spend more time chatting with each other or their friends who are there than they do filling orders. I don't understand why this Starbucks can't get their stuff together, but at some point the "new" will wear off and everyone will go back to making Starbucks via a K cup. read more

I came to this store On 11/7/2019 on the release of the new holiday red cups. I ordered my drink and proceeded to wait the expected 45 mins for my drink because the store and drive through was slammed. After waiting an hour and seeing five to ten customers whom I ordered before receive their drinks including my two co workers I came in with (one received the wrong order) . I left the store and will never return. I understand the store is busy because of the new holiday release but this is no excuse for an establishment as big as Starbucks to have such a poorly run system like stacking recipes mixing them up and just guessing which ones to make on top of caving to customer pressure at the counter to make their order first.
