Driving through Del Rio, we stopped at Raspa King for some cool dessert in the hot, dry weather. I would up with a small mangohill which is more than a mangonada (the mangohill has strawberries) but less than a mangosito (a mangohill with gummy bears). My Spanish is terrible -- based on what they gave me, apparently "small" in Spanish means "HUGE." The mango ice was cool and mild, and the slices of mango and strawberry added freshness to the taste. But the chamoy and chili powder, they added a whole new dimension to this gargantuan monstrosity. What an adventure! Raspa King has covered outdoor seating and a drive-thru if you don't want to sit around. There were plenty of other families there, so the service was a little slow, but I think it's worth it. If you want a taste adventure, try Raspa King on a hot night. read more

My fiancé and i have looked just about everywhere for a rolled ice cream stand in Del Rio, and this is the only place that SUPPOSEDLY sells rolled ice cream. Every single time we stop to get some, they never have any... 1. They don't have the mix. 2. The mix is spoiled. 3. Its going to be at least a 15 minute wait and they have other customers to serve. Its always some excuse every time we go. If they aren't going to have the supplies or sell what is on their menu then they should honestly stop promoting it. read more

This place has friendly service, yummy treats and a variety of seating options! I love the mangonadas and my kids love the variety of shaved ice flavors! They also have rolled ice cream which looks delicious but we haven't tried yet. They have covered seating outside as well as some indoor seating. My kiddos especially love that they have a covered, fenced AstroTurf area so when the sugar hits their system they can run around in there while the adults finish enjoying their food. read more

Bruh everything is good but gosh dang that wait time is literal garbage. I usually go through the drive thru and it's usually over a 30 minute wait, and sometimes it's hard to say melting in my car is worth it. Regarding my inside experience it's just about as bad but you get to watch the workers never get to your order! I understand being busy and all that but it really does not matter with this place. I really enjoy the treats I get here but the wait time is very off-putting. read more
