PokePoke is unique for being in Del Rio. Decided to give this place a shot and was as a loss for words. Wouldn't think this place would be good for the demographic. They have a variety of base such as rice and noodles; and you can't forget the protein! The service was fast and the workers were happy to assist me. I want this place to do well so I can have a healthy option when I come to town. Unfortunately, I can't recommend. Keeps getting worse each visit. Got 2 two scoop bowls tonight. The " teriyaki chicken" is dry and hard. Food quality needs to improve. read more

The fried rice was the only base available which was somewhat disappointing because I was definitely looking forward to trying their noodles. However, their protein was amazing! Great addition to the local restaurant scene!! This review is based on a meal during their first week of business. Friendly service and DELICIOUS food. The tuna and salmon were fresh (which is tough in our rural, landlocked location) and the sushi rice was *chef's kiss* so good. Along with the fresh fish I also really appreciated the topping bar (seaweed and bonito flakes, crispy onions and jalapeños) and the fact that the up charge for avocado included a full avocado half rather than a few slices like some other places do. Although it was small and BUSY it was clean. Some things to be aware of: + The seating area is small. If it's busy you may not be able to eat your meal on location. + No vegetarian protein options. To start off their food is great!, especially considering we're in Del rio. Now for why I gave 3 stars. It's beyond aggravating- literally every time we go theyre either "out" of noodles, shrimp, or chicken. Usually if you wait 10-15 min they'll make more. But their operations management is atrocious- how can they not see they're getting low on something and make more (every time we go is normal hours between 5-7pm). The food was amazing super fresh and delicious! My Boba tea was great as well I will just say it's just a little pricey for the size, but can definitely look past that because they didn't fill it up with ice and it was perfect! This is my new favorite place to eat in town! read more
