I don't usually bother writing reviews for places like Starbucks but I felt compelled for this location because I wanted to give some love to one of the baristas. Her name is Beldam and she was so sweet, kind and knowledgable. When we asked about vegan options she immediately listed a couple drinks that would be good. I don't often get service this good so I wanted to give some credit where credit is due. I wasn't having a great moving and she really brightened my day. Thanks Beldam. read more

Pretty simple order, 2 kid hot chocolates and a café mocha. Unfortunately, my café mocha lacked a few things; the coffee and the mocha. It was a cup of steamed, frothy milk. Next time, I will check it before driving the 30 minutes home. read more

If I am looking for a special treat I head to Starbucks. I never really wondered why people get so addicted to coffee. Walking into this newly located Starbucks in the crossing you know why. Warm and comfortable leather chairs that look out the windows so that you can enjoy the scenery. A steamed Chi La-ti is delicious the aroma of this and I am not sure what it is but it smells like a mixture of cinnamon or nut meg. They are a little expensive in the range if $5.50 for a large but like I said it is a treat. Speaking of treats the front counter is stacked with muffins and oatcakes and tasty pieces of cake. read more

My first Canadian Starbucks experience was ... deja vu? I mean it looked like every other Starbucks I've been to in the states, with the exception of the cute Canadian Starbucks mug (which I obviously bought). They were friendly, quick, and the seating area was clean & quiet. Also since it's in a sort of strip mall, there was plenty of parking. Bonus points because we stopped here twice on our way out of Halifax to go sight-seeing. It's a pretty convenient location, just out of the city, and easy to get on & off the highway from here. read more

Quite a lovely standalone Starbucks in the heart of Dartmouth Crossing for easy mid-shopstravaganza caffeination cravings. Complete with drive-through, this location always seems to have a dose of calm that other busier versions lack. They've added some warmth with more comfy chairs than the industrial downtown locations lack, it's not overpacked with stuff to the point of being chaotic, and for once, it's a Starbucks where you could actually picture drinking an espresso concoction out of a big heavy mug while you flip through a book. Staff are friendly, patient and good for a laugh but also take their time making the drinks more than other spots. Not in a bad way, though. You might wait an extra minute but it'll come out tasting better than your average non-fat, no whip, half-pump whatever it is that floats your boat. Four-star compared to other Starbucks. Three-star compared to cafés as a whole. Which is really quite good. read more

The staff are fantastic, the place is absolutely immaculate, the bathrooms are always clean, the ambient music is just loud enough to hear but still quiet. I am officially finished with this Starbucks. I feel like this is location that management just plain forgot about; they can never seem to have it all together. My peeve first started when it seemed like they could never have bagels in stock. And if they did, then cream cheese wasn't in. But since then, I've come to realize that they are almost always out of something they need to make whatever I order. Sometimes it's the syrup, last week it was whipped cream, and this week, it was the sandwich I ordered. I get it, places sell out of things. But not like this. To top it off, there is a handful of staff that make me feel like they are doing me a favour by paying any attention to me. You don't have to love your job, but please, at least make me feel like I am welcome to approach the counter. But hey, if I had to keep telling people, 'no, sorry, we're out,' I probably wouldn't want to talk to them either. From now on, you can find me at the Dartmouth Crossing Second Cup. read more

This Starbucks is wonderful! The location is conveniently located in Dartmouth Crossing and will fulfil that Starbucks fix while on the run shopping near by at all the lovely shops. I've sat in their seating area before and have to say though it is a smaller sitting area it is still cozy and sufficient. They have a decent outdoor patio area and their drive thru is speedy. The staff is always friendly and seem to be enjoying their shift with one another and it always makes me smile. A must stop while shopping in the area! read more

Love the drive through... 99% of the time, I use the drive-through so I can only comment on that service. The service is friendly, and they always repeat back the order (as mine is complicated) to confirm it. The speed is great and all items offered are available via drive-through as well. In a sea of double-doubles and would you like fries with that, a little beacon on strong java makes me happy. The trouble with drive through is that I cannot get the vibe that Starbucks are known for, it is pretty sterile. But ultimately, I get the beverage I ordered and man it is tasty!!! read more

I completely forgot this Starbucks was here until I got a gift card and did my Yelp search. It's actually a really convenient location if you work on Burnside or Dartmouth Crossing. It's much easier to get in and out of than the one on Windmill, and it's got a little drive thru that usually only has one or two cars in it (if that!). The staff are friendly and helpful. I can never remember what size I want (large? Lots of caffeine! Is that grande? Venti? I don't freaking know!) but they're very patient with my lack of size name knowledge. They're also great to recommend a new drink or treat. Never had a wrong order or anything I didn't like. Especially love the extra - it's Friday have a cookie! - I got the other week. This Starbucks is the absolute worst. The people are SO rude about mobile orders. I walked in when it said it was supposed to be ready, waited in a long line when I didn't have to because I could see they were busy. Ten minutes after my order was set to be ready I approached and waited for someone to notice me before saying I was here for a mobile. It's your average Starbucks, it's a little too out of the way to be my everyday coffee shop but every now and then I'll stop in. The staff are efficient and most of them are friendly but I have had a few brisk encounters. I don't normally purchase premade baked goods, but I did try some of their muffins when they were on special for $1 and they were pretty tasty. read more

This is a decent location, easy to get in and out of. I've been to this location a number of times and compared to my more recent experiences at the Chapters Starbucks in Dartmouth the staff is quite friendly. Because of Chai's being so variant in the taste, I have changed to Green Tea lattes, which I find are made more consistently and this place does them well. There is a fair bit of seating although not a lot of comfy seating. All in all a good stop when in the Crossing and 3 stars is a good rating in my books for a franchise/large type coffee place. Outstanding customer service might be able to push to a 4 star... this is good but not outstanding. read more

Always see this Starbucks when I'm in the crossing and finally got a change to check it out. The atmosphere of this place is awesome, very inviting and loved that the music wasn't blasting like other locations. This is definitely one of my favourite Starbucks in the city (and since I am such a big coffee lover, I have been to every one at least once). The difference for me is the service - I don't know what they give their employees but they are all friendly, all the time! I love that they have a drive-thru too for when you are too lazy to get out of the car (lets be honest, we all have those days). I will go out of my way to go to this location just for the service and drive-thru, actually. I wouldn't say they have the fastest service, but if they are friendly and helpful I don't necessarily mind waiting a couple of extra minutes for my latte. read more

The staff at the Dartmouth Crossing location are absolutely the kindest and happiest Starbucks employees that I have ever met. They really do care about making your experience there a really good one, and it is evident that they actually care when they ask how you are doing. This morning I had gotten just a regular drip coffee to go but had to ask one of the staff behind the counter for the lactose free milk. Not only did she stop what she was doing to grab it for me but she said "I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day." And after this encounter I honestly feel like I am going to.
