Let me start with saying that I have 2 Children and we do eat at McDonalds at least 2 times a week. I normally go to the Elmsdale location, or when working in Burnside, I will go to the Windmill Road location because the location next to my office (Dartmouth Crossing stand alone location, not in Walmart)has been known in our building for having the worst service of them all.
Today, on the way back from the bank I was asked by a co worker to stop at McDonalds, I figured at 1115 am how bad can it be, did not look busy as I was driving by. I pulled behind a pick up truck in the drive tru on the right lane, there was 1 car in the left. The car moves up, I hear the driver in front of me saying hello in the speaker, as I watch him try and get someone's attention, 2 other cars go through the other side, finally, someone answers our lane, off to a good start. It is now 1119, only the breakfast items are still showing on the menu board. Ryan asks for my order, I place it and when I go to the first window to pay Ryan I am immediately grateful that he is not touching food with the long untidy hair everywhere. As I am completely ignored for 30 seconds as he laughs with a co worker that someone is trying to order breakfast at 1120 when it is no longer a option(perhaps if the menu board was changed, that would not have happened) Ryan finally looks at me and says 12.75, I hand him a $10 bill, loonie and toonie. HE lets the bill blow out of his window, and says"you need to go and get that" I look at him and ask get what?, he said the $10 blew away, I need to get it or pay again. I squeeze out of the space between my car and the window, then squeeze by the truck in the line behind me, and get it, not that it matters to you, but I go to the drive through because of a bad back, thanks for making me do that, my chiropractor will be happy, more money for him. I get back in my car, give Ryan back the money, move up to the next window for my McChicken combo, Root Beer, Jr Chicken, Mc Double, Mc Chicken sauce and BBQ sauce. As soon as I get into my office, I open the bag to get the receipt to contact the store and complain, shocker, they did not give me one.(no napkins either) Great way to not get complaints, leave out receipts.
Others in my office have tried to complain at this location before with no satisfaction, perhaps people from McDonalds should start secret shopping this location on a regular basis, you may be appalled with the level of service from here.
I have told everyone at the office do not ever ask me to go to that location again.
Totally fed up,
