After looking over their drink menu, I knew this coffee joint was a must go to spot. I didn't realize that this shop is in the back of Blackcraft Cult. A very beautiful but very dark store. The dried flowers, the picture of the witches, the cute ghosts and the cauldron with more dried flowers had me daydreaming about having this fireplace in my living room. The beautiful chandelier illuminated the room. More dried flowers hung from the ceiling. All of it is just magical It's the most stunning coffee shop I have been to. I finally got my drink ordered. After looking over the menu earlier, I decided to go with the Slasher S'more. A dark chocolate toasted marshmallow latte wit all sorts of goodies on top.... how do you not want to get that? Magic mocha, Spellbound latte, Good Witch latte, whoever came up with these names and concoctions need an award. My drink was everything I had dreamt about. It was so good! It tasted just like a S'more. It was also crafted so delicately with toasted marshmallows, graham crackers and blood splatter. Stopping at this coffee joint was one of the highlights of coming to Salem today. I'm happy I was able to grab a drink, vibe out in the shop and be able to appreciate this stunning venue. It also doesn't help that the music inside is so loud that the staff can barely hear a customer placing an order. Turning it down even a little would go a long way toward improving communication and avoiding mistakes. This location has potential, but between the unwelcoming attitude, in my opinion the wrong side of route 114, the loud environment, and the regular order errors, it really needs serious improvement before it becomes a place worth returning to. Several other AJ locations seem to be slipping the last year or so. Maybe expansion happened too fast or they just want to be like other coffee shops that couldn't care less what drink they give to you.
