I always order here through mobile app and it's seamless. I order here, line up on the drive through, tell them I have a mobile order, they say okay pull up to the front and I get my drink. Super easy! I don't do it any other way. They are also very helpful , nice and cheery whether it's a rainy day, hot day, or a cold day. The thing I really like about this location is consistency. No matter what drink I order, it's always good and I know they store and do my drinks properly because I have never gotten a stomachache or sick from it. I have a very sensitive stomach so I know. I've never understood why every Starbucks has two espresso machines in every store, but only one barista at the bar during rush hour. The clinton store is one of those locations you visit if you are desperate for Starbucks. There is always a wait, even of you order on the app. Don't order any custom drinks bc they will screw it up. The espresso at this location is so weak that I now have to order long shots with every drink. Never have this issue at other locations. The young lady behind the bar works her butt off. Why do we repeatedly have an issue with this Starbucks opening at non-consistent times (when they're supposed to be open at 6am)?? I've seen where they opened at noon one day, today they are supposed to open at 8am according to the handwritten sign on the door but still not open or taking mobile orders. These ladies were so professional and worked in sync. I ended up in Clinton for a personal reason. After the day I had I needed a cheer me up drink! I don't usually order fraps because they are a lot of sugar but I tried the coconut milk and it helped tremendously. The staff were like busy bees working everywhere but I think it's because the boss lady was there. Either way the drink was good. I noticed that they threw the contents into the blender instead of putting it in the cup first but they didn't know that I have had a lot of Starbucks employees in my family. About as crappy of service of any Starbucks I have been to and that is likely over 1000 different ones. They made the mobile order drink fairly quick but waited 10 minutes for a scone then had to ask for it since they weren't doing the mobile bakery stuff at all. Let it overheat then put more stuff in their toaster and let my scone sit for few more minutes while she did other things. Had to ask for it again, employee couldn't care less about service. This store is way below average for this chain which I frequent more than any other. read more

It is fall. October 10th to be exact. I was looking forward to trying the Apple Croissant from Starbucks. I was hesitant about going to the Clinton location bc they're always out of SOMETHING. I pull up to the drive through (wait was about 10 min) and placed my order. I asked for the apple croissant, which, of course, they're out of smh. The girl then says "oh it's out of season so we won't have anymore". The drive-thru menu literally has "New" next to the item. And again, it's Fall. So how would an apple croissant be out of season?? So when I got to the window, I asked her again if they were out of season bc the menu shows it as new. She said "I don't know why it says that, that needs to be taken off". She was nice so I won't discredit her customer service but I was so confused. Mind you, a friend of mine just went to her local Starbucks in Manassas to order one and they had it. Figures. Terrible. First of all they would not honor the Aug 2nd Starbucks Happy Hour which is 50% off frappe after 3pm, I came at 3:45pm. If I could leave zero stars I would. I went through the drive-thru and was given the wrong drink. Walked inside during a freezing December evening, to let the staff know and was greeted my rude unapologetic employees. They handed me another unlabeled drink. I requested my drink be remade due to the fact that all drink were unlabeled, therefore how was it identified that this was my correct drink? I knew I had the I correct drink after tasting it. The staff reluctantly made my new drink after passing the request from team member to team member instead of working as a team to accommodate a team mistake. I watched the drink be made and saw they left out an ingredient. I asked for the ingredient to be added and again the request was accepted rudely and passed from team member to team member. All while a barista slams my drink down and walks away. The member who finally added the ingredient did so reluctantly and added an obnoxious amount of peppermint pumps ultimately ruining the drink. For a simple drive thru order I ended up spending over 30minutes trying to receive a simple tea due to the locations mistake and resistance to accommodate my order. I will NOT return to this location. A week later and @starbucks has yet to respond after reaching out via their website and social media. read more

First, the drive-thru in the morning is always impossibly long. So I go inside. Usually I'm out the door, drink in hand, in no time. But lately, when I go inside the pace is dead. You would never guess there were a line of cars outside for how slow the baristas move. I was the first of two customers inside, and yet I was standing there watching my steamed milk sit on the counter while the barista talked to the other customer whom she knew. She pulled the shots directly into my caramel macchiato while she talked. And caked a swirl of caramel on top. I mean, am I picky for being annoyed about that? Is it too much to ask to have my 4.55 drink made correctly? Anyway, today I was a bit earlier than usual and there were only three cars in the drive thru, so I thought I'd use it. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a soggy breakfast sandwich and a lukewarm caramel macchiato with no caramel. I went back inside and just asked for some caramel on my drink from who I noticed was the manager after seeing his picture on the bar. He too, caked caramel on my drink. I said "it was just supposed to be a caramel macchiato." And he said "yeah, it was just a mistake." It was a mistake, true enough, but when I've waited over 20 minutes for something, paid 4.55 and had to come out of my car to correct it, it's not "JUST" anything. This kind of thing really boils my blood. I didn't know it was so much to ask to get a drink made the way it's supposed to be made. By the time I took a few sips of the extra extra caramel macchiato, my stomach hurt. I don't know if it's from the temperature, or all the caramel. What I know for sure is, I've shopped at nearby Starbucks. I've traveled across the nation shopping at various Starbucks. I always special order the same drinks and I never seem to have a problem with my order. Living within a mile of this Starbucks, in my neighbor excited me, but I'm tired of tolerating poor quality and service. My drinks are rarely the exact way I request it. Whether its a hot drink or a cold drink. But today was the worst. It all started at the drive thru when I asked, if today was happy hour? And was given the answer, "Unfortunately, yes it is." Then one of my orders was a handmade refresher. When I received it, the top layer was clear, mixed with ice. The first few sips tasted like water. Obviously the drink was not fully mixed. Yesterday 10/20 I was given the wrong drink. Today 10/21 at 10:52AM there is no expresso so they can only do iced coffee, frappes, teas. This is the norm for this location. Not sure why they even have a location open when they never have anything in stock. Starbucks Corp always makes these situations right by "passing along" the information to the locations manager and crediting me back for refund if they mess up something but I'm a little over complaining to Starbucks.com at this point. This is quite possibly the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I ordered a Ventai Mocha Frappuccino, before heading over to work, I waited nearly 15 minutes for a drink that I never even got. I finally got fed-up and walked right out, without my drink. I didn't even bother mentioning it to management because there was no reason to bother. There was only three employees working for a location that is not only a decent size but is also fairly busy. So, paying for a drink that I never received and having to wait an unruly amount of time for said drink, makes me walk out. And those who are giving this location a good rating, they need to go to any number of SB's locations in Old Town, Alexandria where the service there, is absolutely second to none. read more

Didn't have a great drive-thru experience today. The exchange over the speaker was strange. He said "how are you" I said good...then it was a long pause and he said "you ready?" I said yes and another long pause lol, so I said are you there? I visited this Starbucks last Saturday. The drive through line was pretty long so I opted for going inside and ordering. There were two signs inside, one pointing to the left for mobile risers and one straight for take out orders. I walked up to the registers and waited. There were four employees working and not a single one of them said anything. I waited a good 5 minutes without being talked to or approached before I decided I was done waiting. Two of the employees walked past the register a couple of times and no one acknowledged me. I would have been completely understanding if someone were to have said ANYTHING at all. Like "hey sorry were a little busy, give us one minute". But I didn't get a hello or anything.. it was as if I wasn't there. I like that this location has a drive thru, because let me tell you... this comes in handy very often! Downfall is my drink isn't always made right. Sometimes the espresso is burnt, or has been sitting for a while and makes me an unhappy girl. Because I then will need to park the car, go back in and ask them to remake my drink in which they are irritated and give me a hard time about. However, sometimes the drinks are just right.
