This is the only stand-alone Starbucks I've been to that doesn't have a drive-thru! They do have mobile ordering for pick-up inside. Staff is very friendly, I even heard one male barista ask a woman if she wanted him to get started on her regular when she walked in. That's cool that the baristas know their customers that well! This is the cutest cozy Starbucks. The staff is so nice and friendly. It is located downtown and the few times I've been it's never overwhelmingly crowded. They are fast and efficient while delivering service with a smile. I love how they make suggestions for any substitutes and don't add an up charge. Stopping by for drinks and breakfast on out CA to NC trip. Wow, this place is popular this morning and the staff is right on it. Everyone is cheery and orders are getting out quickly. Good thing there is room for all the "to go" orders. Several people enjoying hanging out reading and chilling. I spent some time online (like this review) as we are traveling quickly. Quite possibly one of the best Starbucks experiences that I've ever had was at this store during a heavy snowstorm. While traveling from Fort Collins, CO into Cheyenne on an early Saturday morning, the storm forced me inside of this Starbucks, since most morning locations around Central Avenue were closed. Although I usually prefer a doppio expresso or caramel macchiato to start my day, I tried the pumpkin spice latte. I figured that I wasn't going anywhere soon, so why not? While there was a line of 6-7 people in slightly cramped quarters (seemed like all of Cheyenne was coming in), the baristas kept us entertained with their good spirits in spite of the fact that all of our cars outside were getting buried under a near foot of snow. The pumpkin spice latte was exquisite, as well as the iced lemon pound cake (very fresh) and tuna fish sandwich w/cranberries. The locals of Cheyenne that were in Starbucks that morning were unbelievably cool, and reassured me in sticking around for a while since it would be foolish to travel back on I-25 south in this snowy mess. While I didn't get the opportunity to truly explore the areas around Central Avenue that morning due to the inclement weather, I have to believe that this is one of the liveliest places to be at any given morning. Starbucks tastes pretty much the same wherever you go, but this location has set itself apart by employing the most fantastic people. I was in town visiting my son & he had an appointment at the hospital nearby. I asked to be dropped off somewhere nearby so I could walk around and explore. It was so cold outside so I ordered a coffee. When I told them I was from Texas I was treated the way you'd hope someone would care for your grandma. Such happy, upbeat, kind staff! I returned a couple of days later when he had another appointment & was again shown the same hospitality as the previous visit. I would definitely recommend this location! read more

Staff is friendly but they need to work on their drinks a little more. The drinks are not bad but I wish they put a little more effort. I've ordered an iced matcha latte many times and it had very little matcha in it. When I also order a drink with sweet cream foam, they just end up putting whipped cream into the drink (not on top like a Frappuccino but INSIDE). I don't think they know how to make sweet cream foam. I gave up asking for it after 10 times of getting whipped cream. Oh yeah.... don't bother asking for light ice because they literally will fill your cup with ice! I feel like they get annoyed when asked for light ice so they purposely put more than when you don't mention light ice. read more

The staff here are some of the nicest Starbucks staff I've ever met. However, this location usually falls a bit short. Their online orders typically take longer than other locations and aren't ready when I come to get them. Also, I've gotten at least three breakfast sandwiches from here that are cold or frozen in the middle still. Also, they tend to be out of food options a lot and their online menu isn't updated. I've never had an issue with the drinks they make, to be fair, and will probably be back in all likelihood. read more

They were super busy and so nice! What I noticed the most was how the staff communicated with each other with sincerely nice words and tone of voice, even though they were so busy. Starbucks are all the same, right? Wrong! This one is a step above. Service is great and fast. Staff said a "Hello" when I walked in, despite being busy making various java drinks. I had a very happy experience here this morning when I came for my morning brew. Sunny fall day, Saturday morning, with all kinds of cool people here as well. Who knew that Cheyenne had such a hidden community of interesting people, but here they were ! Very pleasant to sip my flavored coffee and look out at the historic district houses and buildings, pet friendly dogs and watch young families. I went here for a morning Iced Mocha and was able to place my order immediately. However, they had one girl making drinks and she was SO slow. The two people ahead of me, unknown to me when I placed my order, had each ordered 8 drinks. I had 16 drinks ahead of mine. Now, keep this in mind, I saw three other baristas working but only one making drinks. Finally, a boy came over and started helping her. After 15-minutes, he called my name and it was the wrong order. I told him it was a regular mocha, not white mocha. His response? "Oh, I know. Do you want the correct drink?" WTF, Starbucks? Yes, I want the correct drink. Thank goodness Cheyenne has gotten up to speed with certain things so there are other Starbucks locations to visit. I guess if I'm in a hurry this particular location may be one to avoid. read more

There's literally been the same booger on the bathroom wall for at least 7 years. After today's experience I was done - the last 2 months I'm consistently waiting forever for black coffee. Been going for years it just takes to long to get in and out of there. The old staff was the A-team and I was in line maybe 2 minutes. but those days are over. The staff has stopped holding their positions and scramble to get orders thru. Staff is friendly and everything's pretty good but tre building is a mess. Staff blames property owner for issues but this store is now officially a mess, gross bathrooms, overflowing trash cans, dead leaves on patio, dingy baseboard throughout and dumpster area needs power washed and I don't think this store even recycles. read more

I was really craving a latte so I stopped in here and grabbed one on the way home. Man, I really love how fast these guys are. They are considerate of your time which I appreciate. Usually don't go to Starbucks because of the crowds and the coffee isn't my favorite, but you gotta give credit to a good working team of people. Years ago the building now occupied (and renovated) by Starbucks was a dumpy wood-paneled Subway. The first time I (re)visited I was floored by the transformation -- surely an improvement to downtown Cheyenne, where near as I can tell there aren't any other coffee shops where a guy can read a book or bum wireless signal for a couple hours. I typically use the app to order ahead and this location would rarely have my drink ready by the time I arrive; I've never had to wait at stores on Dell Range or Yellowstone. Today my drink was ready but they were out of the sandwich I ordered, which could have been an app problem. However, the sandwich the did end up giving me had still-frozen bacon.
