We are visiting Carmel for the weekend and decided to check this place out for dinner (couldn't get…read morea reservation for brunch). It is a cute spot nestled in between buildings and has both patio and inside seating. We brought our pup and took patio seating. It was cold BUT they provided blankets and heaters! We got the fruited sour and I got the Porto Branco. The drinks were great. Sour was great and PB was perfect. We had the sourdough bread and butter to share as well as the farmers salad with avocado. The vinaigrette was fantastic, the bread was soft inside and crispy outside with the perfect bread to butter ratio (we had extra butter left over). My husband got the lobster roll which was good (not the best) but the brioche roll was great and very filled. I got the King Ora salmon which had complex flavor with miso, pepper and the cabbage was fantastic. For dessert we shared the basque cheesecake which was amazing. It was more creamy and went well with the blackberry. Service could be better but was still pretty good and we would come back again to get brunch!

We came to try their dinner after one of the servers mentioned they serve dinner now…read more.. Wonderful friendly service & beautiful aesthetics. The local Ad Astra breads are yummy! Hamachi crudo was fresh & balanced. Cavatelli pasta was a bit too al dente and dense, but the fixings were delicious. Lobster roll ($48) needs more flavor (should have read the reviews), and the double burger is huge! Overall very pricey (see website menu for current prices), and the dinner entree menu options are pretty limited. For the high prices I would want to be wowed by every dish and flavor, and to have more options, to be enticed back.

My brother and I had a drive up highway one today, thru Big Sur to Carmel for our turnaround spot…read more Parking was a challenge as you might expect on a Wednesday morning. Coffee please, well wouldn't ya know there was a place across the street. It was 12noon small place, no line, lots of pastries and some lunchish items in the cooler case. Large hot Mocha no whip for me, P got himself a latte thing. Both drinks were up almost instantly and out we went. First sip ah...warm....wait a second. Paul said mines cold...er. The pastry the server chose for me was good, no pastries are made on the premises. Not sure about the lunch snacks origin. We sat at the bistro tables on the sidewalk and admired the parade of tourists and residents. P went in for a reheat, I washed the pastry back with my warm coffee. The reheat worked for P, no problem. We enjoyed the scenery, had a few laughs, and left when a resident tried to parallel his Rolls Royce in front of us. Nothing special here just a coffee place but certainly convenient for our coffee break. Have a nice day Foodguy-Martin

Came in here for a little pick me up after hiking around the trails at Point Lobos. Legs tired,…read moresoul refreshed, and still chasing that perfect cup of coffee I'm slowly learning my way into. An old friend put me onto Carmel Valley Coffee, so I figured why not give it a chance... and honestly, I'm glad I did. I grabbed a vanilla latte -- simple, safe, and done very very well for this new coffee drinker still trying to find his perfect match. Smooth, warm, and just sweet enough after miles on the trail. The kind of cup that makes you slow down and appreciate the moment. The shop itself is cute, cozy, and carries that laid-back Carmel charm. Service was polite, friendly, and quick -- no rush, no chaos, just good people making good coffee. Whether you're a seasoned caffeine pro or someone like me still figuring out what "notes" and "roast profiles" even mean, this place is worth the stop. A little comfort after a long hike, a little nostalgia courtesy of an old friend, and a latte that hit exactly how it needed to. Already looking forward to coming back.

Staff were absolutely amazing, they were nice and relatable. The drinks we got were really good and we were both satisfied with our choices. They also had some small pastries, but we didn't get any of them since we were both full. We also noticed that it looked like they had some games available for you to use while chilling in the shop

For a specialty menu, I was hoping for more in-house flavors rather than standard syrups. I also tried the "Dubai" croissant, which sounded amazing, and even their IG photos looked good but didn't quite meet the expectations. It appeared to be a basic croissant (similar to something you might find at Costco), then they take Nutella and spread it on top themselves, then finished with kataifi and pistachios. I was expecting something more elevated-, like a house-made croissant, possibly filled with pistachio cream and topped with a richer chocolate and pistachio spread. The concept is great, but I think the execution could better match the expectations set by the menu.

This spot is located conveniently on the street that we take to walk down to the beach. We visited…read moreit a couple of times during our latest trip. From the outside, the place looks like a little hole in the wall with just a sign outside and an A-frame advertising their specials. When you step inside, however, it is surprisingly roomie with a few places to sit. My +1 tried the lavender latte (with honey) and liked it so much that she ordered it again. I'm not one for lavender, but I took a sip just to try it, and the latte was very pleasant and the honey added just the right amount of sweetness. I on the other hand, opted for the Tidal Wave, which was their blend of energy drink, and raspberry syrup added. It was admittedly, a little sweet, but I found myself ordering it again. Also just because I needed that extra kick, and the sugar didn't bother me with all the walking we were doing. There are several coffee shops that we visited in Carmel, and we found things to like about every one, but we did find ourselves walking into this one every time we were nearby

I saw a man walking with a cup of coffee so I asked and he directed us down a little shopping alley to TCCS. The door was open (we my photo) so we walked in. A customer had just gotten her drink From a female employee who Was behind the counter. There were other customers In the shop as well. A male employee was in another part of the store nearby. The female walked out from the counter and talked with the male About she was out of there and that the male could use something to make coffee, or not, she did not care. The male saw us and walked behind the counter but did not address us at all. He Started Stocking shelves. Other people Walked in and were ignored as well. No Hi or welcome from either or it will be just a minute. We were throughly ignored and waited an unreasonable amount of time without acknowledgement and/or service. So we left. Not the friendly Carmel greeting we had hoped for actually completely the opposite. We definitely won't be back. We walked one street over to All about the chocolate and had an awesome experience and a good latte. I checked the CCH hours and saw they close at 500pm I get it but close your door and if not tell People your Closed. Nothing was said to us nor did we see any Sign up that said closed. Also there were customers there. I stand by My review.
