The Starbucks located in Kingsland Plaza is pretty solid overall, plenty of parking in the area and the location itself is pretty unassuming. The location can get pretty busy, especially with all the schools in the area, but it can also be pretty quiet and relaxing at times too. I think the newer Starbucks location on the corner of Elbow and Southland stole some traffic as well; it doesn't seem as busy as I'm used to seeing it which is nice. Staff here are decent enough, on my most recent order I ordered one of the new Frappuccino Fan Flavours. As a Starbucks member I'm on the up with all the new Starbucks offerings, so I knew about these on the very first day which happened to be on this visit. I thought it was odd how there was zero advertising in-store for it, so I wasn't sure what to expect. So when I put in my order for a "Cupcake Crème Frappuccino" I wasn't too surprised by the blank faced stare and confusion I got back. I explained that they was new Fan Flavours that were just launched today, and in a slightly panicked state he quickly located a stack of new recipes in front of him that no one had bothered to go through. From there they were able to recover fine and they produced this Starbucks location's very first Cupcake Crème Frappuccino ever! Haha I almost felt special...! I definitely don't blame the baristas for not knowing the new recipes, this should have been brought to their attention my management/supervisors. So after some slight confusion I got my new treat and it was delicious! Just like a Cupcake! Definitely happy the staff were able to figure it out and didn't just say "no, we don't have that". I headed out to continue my day from there, but this location does have a decent amount of seating available if I wanted to stay. There's the comfier loungish area up front with tables and chairs, and a less comfortable area in the back with a bars against the wall. They're armed with free Wi-Fi as well, so it's a decent enough location to plug-in for a little bit if need be. I'd recommend evening hours for this location, lunch and after school hours you may have the seasonal school rushes. Unfortunately they do close at 8:00pm, so not ideal for night time lounging. read more

I went to get coffee with my friends after a fun spin class today. And The barista holly was probably the rudest Starbucks worker I have ever met. Talked down to my friends and I and acted like we were dumb. From someone who works in costumer service I would NEVER talk to people the way she did. I understand that bc of covid there are rules but there's a difference between asking people to do something nicely and being RUDE. anyway she did make a fire coffee but I don't know why in gods name she was so ungodly rude. I also would like to mention that I'm not over reacting I truly could never talk to people like that. read more

I work in the area and the staff are always great. Their debit was down last week so they gave us our lattes for free!

Excellent coffee and most of the staff always wear a smile for everyone. It's tough to keep a location like this net and tidy and ship shape with all the customers that come through constantly. But - if I must give a review that is the only area I can see being improved at this location when possible. That, and the wiggly table by the window. read more

This is hands down the worst Starbucks in the city. Every 9/10 times I go in there, I end up regretting it. I keep telling myself, maybe it will be okay this time, wrong! I usually go out of my way to go to a farthur Startbucks, even though this one is much closer to my house. It is mostly about the service, but sometimes the drinks aren't as tasty as I would expect from some of the other Starbucks in the area. The staff are pretty rude. There is this one guy that seems to work a lot. He thinks of himself as the centre of the world or something. He shakes his head at customers as they walk away, he rolls his eyes a lot. I have heard/seen him talking bad about customers to other staff, and the other staff seem to enjoy it. He is definitely the reason I won't go back to that Starbucks every again, but the other staff aren't much better unfortunately. If you are looking for gross coffee and horrible customer service, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay away! There are many other Starbucks closeby that are much better. read more

The parking lot is ridiculous. Some of the staff couldn't care less about their job or your satisfaction. Not a fan of this location.

Good service, nice employees, never that big of a line which is always nice. They also have a nice place to just sit and relax, it's never that busy their and they have excellent wifi and outlets for all of your electronic devices. They are not the fastest when it comes to making them but they get the job done and do a good job for the end result. read more

Almost ALL of the business going into this Starbucks is the high school students (including myself) from Henry Wise Wood High School. I go here more often than I would like to admit, but the delicious coffee keeps me coming back for more. What makes me reluctant, is the baristas. I dread encounters with them now. Not only are they rude and irritable to every student that walks in the door, but they make sure you know that they don't like dealing with you. Also, (and this has happened more than once), my cup has been lost, causing me to stand around waiting for 20 minutes! I am a patient person, and it was the morning, so everyone wants a coffee to drink on their way to work. I get it. I try not to make the barista's day any more stressful than it already is. I waited patiently, and after 20 minutes, when a good 10 people who were in line behind me got their drinks and left. ONLY THEN did I politely ask the ladies making the drinks where my drink was, and they said someone must have taken my cup... Which didn't make much sense to me, but they made my coffee next and I left. All in all, I would not come here if I had another choice, but the coffee in our cafeteria is the worst, that's the only reason. read more
