I stopped by on a Tuesday morning a little before 9am and basically had the place to myself. The inside has some seating and there is seating outside as well. This absolutely has to be the Starbucks with the coolest view I have ever been to, and I've been to them all over the world. I don't make it a habit to go to Starbucks when abroad, and usually patronize local coffee shops more than anything. But I usually will stop into a Starbs once in a while to grab something similar to what I'm used to at home. This Starbucks spot is right in the Grand-Place (Grote Markt) plaza in Brussels. While you sip your coffee (if you don't take it to go), you'll have views of the Brussels City Museum/King's House, the huge spired Brussels Town Hall, and tons of other Gothic architecture buildings. Aside from building views, the plaza is packed with people shopping, horses, artists, and many other sights to see and people watch. So, as I said, if you're looking for a Starbucks to visit in Brussels, this is the one with the best views (and it's right in the city center, so you can't get much more central than that for easy access!) read more

My wife and i were in town for only a couple of days, we were surprised that nothing was really open early in the morning. Most of the other coffee shops in the area didnt open until much later so Starbucks was really the only option that was available when we were in need of our morning coffee. Since we came early, essentially right when they opened, there really wasnt anyone in the shop. Im not sure if they prepare coffee differently here but it did taste weaker than what im used to here in the states. I think now a days you can find starbucks all over the world. The funny thing was that when we took a local food tour, our guide mentioned that there were much better places to get a cup of coffee near the square and not to spend our money here because we should support local shops and not a big corporation. read more

This Starbucks is located at Grand Place, a huge city square completely encircled by elegant historical buildings dating back to the14th century. After we walked around the square, we stopped by for some coffee. Other than coffees and teas, they have special hot chocolate in hazelnut or caramel flavor. Guys, you get to see one of the most breath-taking squares in all of Europe as you down your beloved Starbucks coffee. Don't question it. Just do it. The employees were kind, spoke English, and accepted cards. Not a crowded place either, and we were there mid-morning on a Saturday! The drinks were delish, as they are everywhere (in my ever so humble opinion). And the pastries were pretty good too. I recommend the Lemon Muffin. Grab a drink and pop a squat. Date: Sunday October 30 Time: 8:55PM A group of us, Americans, walked into Starbucks and wanted to grab a quick coffee for take out. Met by a group of unwelcoming workers that said "sorry we are close." We asked, "what time do you close?" Workers said "we are closed." We asked again, "but what time?" Then ALL the workers just ignored our present. Meanwhile, this Starbucks is still PACKED with customers enjoying their coffees and every seat is take , some said, "it closes at 9:00PM" but it wasn't even 9:00 yet. We walked away but within 15 seconds, we found this small business coffee and donuts shop called "Royal Donuts". We ran into the owner outside when she was closing up the store for the day, but she told us to come on in and reopened the shop for us. She made us fresh coffee and amazing fresh donuts from scratch! It totally made up the horrible experience from that nasty Starbucks with horrible workers that don't want to be there to get your business. read more

Great, unbeatable location! Great size patio as well. And the furniture is of relatively high quality and comfortable too. Loved having breakfast here every morning. The staff are awesome! Their friendly, speak English very well, know how their products well and delightful to interact with. Food was as I'm accustomed to and no complaints on that front. One complaint is that I couldn't use the Starbucks App here - because it's a franchise location. I don't understand that but I'm sure if Starbucks can figure it out with airports who are all franchises, they can resolve it with this franchise location. read more

1st Starbucks review and unfortunately this place only worth 2 stars (and I'm being generous at this point). Being a frap' lover, Starbucks has always been on my go to list and when I saw this place just at the corner of the Brussels Grand Place, I had to enter and order the infamous Java Chip Frap'. Pros : - Terrace available with a magnificent view of the Grand Place (perfect especially during a nice weather); - A cheery and client-service oriented baristas (very common at every Starbucks, thumbs up to that); - They've written my hubby's and my name correctly (at last!); - Rapid service; - Fidelity card (after 9 passages, the 10th is free); - Merchandises are the bomb (from cups to tumblers to coffee, a lot to choose from). Points to improve : - The place inside is narrow so there isn't a lot of space between the seats/tables and the counter (if you're claustrophobic, this is not the place to be); - An everlasting long queue to deal with just to order one item; - Few seats inside the coffee-house which can be repulsive for clients especially during winter time. Food/Drinks : - Same ol' same ol' like in every Starbucks all over the world which can be a plus for some and a minus for others; - My Java Chip Frap' was divine as usual (nothing to add nor to discriminate); - Vanilla-Lemon (summer option) already out of stock (too bad since they're putting it on upfront publicity). Poops Corner : - OMG !!! One restroom for a coffee-house in the middle of a tourist spot! Beware for another long queue to deal with; - Basic toilet paper (the holder is already broken); - The toilet is a-ok but both genders uses it; - Clean sink with a Dyson hand dryer and a mousse soap pump (the paper towel holder was empty). A Starbucks with one of the best views. for sure. Lately, I've really quite enjoyed their coffee so I came here a few times and they also took my Amex card. Anyways, the view.... Can't really beat it. All of the Grand Place in its splendor right at the door. Bar seating at the window is kinda nice. Great for people watching and enjoying the atmosphere. In winter, it's a bit cramped inside since everyone wants to get out of the cold and get coffee. The indoor seating is basically one long couch too and gets cozy fast. It does have an outdoor seating area which is a bit more spacious, but since it was winter during my visit no one was outside. I've never had a problem with the staff here. I do find they joke around a lot which isn't a big deal. They never messed up an order despite that. So no complaint. This seems to be the only Starbucks around too. I think there is one more, but this is pretty much it. However, can't blame people, there are a lot of very good coffee places a stone throws away, but Starbucks always has it's staples so there's that. read more

This Starbucks was really nice! It was clean, the staff were very nice, and they had a wide selection of products you could buy. The restrooms were clean as well. The only downside is if you are looking to charge up your devices, I could only find one set of outlets by the front windows, so maybe not the best if you just want a place to charge your phones. read more

I don't fully understand the negative reviews saying the personel does not speak English or Dutch; the guys working there when I visit speak both. They're fast and friendly, and there is never really a waiting line although it's an extremely touristic area. 3 stars because it's still a Starbucks, they earn a special star for having the soy milk seperated from regular milk. Fave snack must be the lemon poppy seed muffin! read more

It was a nice Starbucks. The place was a bit dirty though. However, the service was nice and the drinks were made quickly. They didn't accept the Starbucks app but luckily I had my cash. Would go again for my iced caramel macchiato and the very berry tea! read more

This is the closest starbucks to the castle. The staff was great. The only gripe is the toilets are up a million stairs.

This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. They need to send corporate over here to make sure they are keeping up with the SBUX standards asap! Not only is it SBUX standards, but customer service is severely lacking. I was in town visiting and really wanted to try the fudge hot chocolate they were offering in Europe (not available in the States). I had gone to another SBUX shop and they were sold out. So I decided to try again at a different store. Immediately I knew this shop was chaos, however, I thought maybe it was just because they were busy. I went up to the register and placed my order with my boyfriend. The guy behind the register repeated our order back to us and I corrected him when he said mine from "hot chocolate" to "fudge hot chocolate" and he made the change (reflected on the cup as well). The wait was pretty long for just two drinks, but we waited. The two baristas working the bar seemed to be just goofing around. Finally, our drinks came out. I took a sip of mine and ICK, it was coffee. I hate coffee, hence why I was getting a hot chocolate. Nothing was chocolate about this drink. My boyfriend took it up to the bar and it took him a while to get someone's attention since the two guys at the bar were joking around so much and not paying attention to customers. After he got their attention he told one of the baristas the issue and the barista said "oh, I don't think you understand, let me explain" this irritated my boyfriend because he's the customer and the barista should be listening to him not the other way around. (Also, my boyfriend has been a SBUX partner in Seattle and knows what SBUX standards are). The barista then told my boyfriend that it's a misunderstanding because his colleague told me at the register they were out of fudge hot chocolate and they had asked me if I was okay with a latte and I agreed. Not only does this not make any sense... why would you offer a coffee beverage to someone that ordered a non-coffee beverage...and my boyfriend was there and heard the entire conversation as well, but also this never happened and he was putting words in my mouth. My boyfriend told the barista that never happened and he was right there. Finally, the barista offered to make a regular hot chocolate. They ended up giving me a grande (we paid for a tall) hot chocolate to compensate for the troubles, but honestly if I had known from the beginning that they didn't have the fudge hot chocolate I wouldn't have ordered a drink. I can get a regular hot chocolate in the States. We know this wasn't just an issue we had because we had a couple in front of us that had to ask for their pastries they ordered twice before a barista got it for them (it wasn't even a pastry that needed to be heated up, just needed to be grabbed out of the case). If you're an avid SBUX fan, stay away from this location. It's awful. read more
