For some reason we missed the mascot bulldogs that hang around the cozy indoor seating! Regardless, it was a great stop for a cappuccino which I was offered with a free environmentally reusable "Billie" cup (sans lid). The spot inside was intimate and great for working; it was certainly filled with many a laptop-goer. If inside is too stuffy for you, then seating al fresco is available in the pleasant, airy cobbled stone square. The neighborhood coffee shops are always a draw and a lovely respite from hustle and bustle of the city, if one could ever describe Brussels in such a way.

This place was great!! From the service to the food to the drinks, it was perfect as my friend and I were looking for a quick meal before we left. We got the quiche and they came with a salad and bread. Although we sat inside, there's outdoor seating and blankets for those that choose to sit outside.

This place is delicious, just go! The coffee is so smooth and well balanced. Their pastry is good too and they offer a variety of vegan options. The staff is nice and service is quick!

This place had a decent açaí bowl but the coffee was only so-so. Like many places in the vicinity, you order inside and they deliver your items to the table. In our case, outside. There wasn't anything bad about the place, but there wasn't anything great about it either. The outdoor seating was sufficient for our needs and since there was limited engagement with staff, I can only say it was adequate. The food did take a bit longer to arrive than expected, but we had coffee to keep us from going crazy while we waited. I will say, I like açaí bowls to have a little bit more granola or oats or some kind of grain, but it was tasty enough. Overall, I would say it is an ok place. I would definitely give it another try.

What a wonderful coffee shop in Belgium! It isn't very close to the touristy parts, but if you find yourself near it, I would highly recommend coming in! The workers were very, very nice and apologetic when the people in front of me were taking hours to order. (Which is sweet because it wasn't the workers fault at all). What I ordered: I got a latte and my boyfriend got a cappuccino. They were smooth and large potions! This would be a good place to study or work, although I could see it getting crowded sometimes. You can also order a lot of yummy, healthy food here!

Loved it! I discovered coffee, more precisely: latte macchiatos! It was a first and I'm happy my first coffee experience got to be pleasant and tasty @ Kaffabar. Situated in a hidden square, like most things in Brussels, you have to look to find the hidden treasures. Very trendy, black and white, Kaffabar stands out in the midst of the appartements and parking lots @ Place Rouppe. Trendy doesn't mean cold and distant tho, there's a dog there willing to welcome you (or taking a nap) when you come in. All of this is just as nice addition to the very tasty coffee! The coffee, oh my! It's a delicacy, but I'm well aware that not all coffee shops are equal: Kaffabar has set the bar high, so I'm a bit reluctant to give other shops a try. Alas, the love of Yelp doesn't permit me to not open myself up to new coffee adventures, but I'll definitely become a duke @ Kaffabar. I highly recommend it. Oh and besides coffee, there's plenty of accompanying delicacy like vegan banana bread, cookies and more. The people there are also very nice: I'll never forget being offered watermelon on a hot day. That's a "geste" I'll fondly remember. TLDR? GOOD COFFEE. TRENDY PLACE. A MUST TRY.

Fantastic neighborhood coffee shop with a nice outside seating area and a cozy interior. They offer pastries. More importantly, their love for coffee shows. Great service too.

Do you like adorable mild mannered bulldogs, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and quality coffee? Then this is a good choice. Also the salmon and broccoli quiche was nice tasting and substantial. Came as a little meal with salad and bread. If it wasn't my last day in Brussels I'd definitely go back.

What a discovery! I came here with a couchsurfer that wanted coffee with the chocolate we bought from Mary's and I was a tad upset they didn't have any hot chocolates available. Their list of hot chocolates were quite impressive and knowing that Belgium is famous for their chocolate one would assume their hot chocolate was on a whole new level. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and so I ordered a cafe latte and loved how creamy and smooth it was. I vacuumed it per usual. There is free wifi and outdoor and indoor seating.

Definitely a bit off the beaten path for the average tourist, but I sought this place out based on other Yelp reviews. It's compact, with about 12 cafe tables inside, but the vibe is wonderful. Big windows allow you to look outside to the street and small square. Credit cards accepted. Food: They had quiche along with a number of other savory options as well as pastries to satisfy your sweet tooth. The apple cake is a must have! Teas are served with a timer to let you know when it's done brewing. A small biscuit comes on the side of every hot drink. Cost: My pot of oolong, and bottle of still water, and an apple cake ran me about €10. Overall: Not a true co-working space as not all the tables had access to power. However, they do have free WiFi and it IS a great spot to work for a little while if you're lucky to get a table next to the outlet (which I did).

    Marcel is very chill!

We came because we saw Marcel, the English Bulldog mascot of the coffee shop, in all the photos. We were missing our 2 English Bulldog Grandogs after 2 weeks in Europe and needed to come pet a cute dog while we had coffee. Marcel did not disappoint! The incredibly nice owner and the delightfully strong cups of coffee we had didn't disappoint either. It's the kind of coffee we love and rarely found in our 2 weeks in Ireland, France & Belgium and we loved it! Of course we had full discussion with the owner about the crazy life with English Bulldogs and their interesting peculiarities, which we've also missed, too. They've got a full coffee and tea menu to satisfy everyone's tastes and it's a gorgeous space that's very comfortable to spend time in with WiFi.

Walked in, greeted by an English Bulldog. He is very funny, he just slowly walks around and greets everyone. My mocha was fantastic, orange juice very fresh, the Yogurt was clean and the fruit was also fresh.

Wonderful breakfast to start our day! The goat cheese quiche is fantastic. I definitely recommend a stop here for great pastry and coffee.

Eventhough the location is not the most inspirational, near midi, the interior and food will make up for that. The first time I went here with a friend for lunch. I ordered one of the combos, a small soup and a small plate of vegetables. The plates are well presented with that many colours. The soup was creamy and the bread that comes with the soup is fresh and delicious. Even though I went for two small dishes in order to keep some space for dessert, the food was filling enough to skip the sweet stuff. I had therefore a good excuse to come back and try the cake. The apple crumble (with cranberries) is good as it looks like. The café russe, that comes with a small cake, is good as well. Perfect place to come to before or after taking your train, as it's close to the train station. If you do need to take a train, I recommended you to go anyway. It's worth it.

We woke up a little later than planned and hoped that by the time we walked over the place wouldn't be completely full. Thankfully we arrived just in time and were seated right away. The layout of the restaurant is adorable! The wallpapers, lights, tables, and everything else gave the restaurant a laid-back and comfortable vibe. We opted to get the €17 per person brunch buffet. There were cold cuts, cheese platters, yogurt, waffles with butter and jam, salads, pastas, eggs, sausages, soup, desserts, fruits, and much more. The buffet came with your choice of a hot drink (tea, coffee). I thought that everything tasted amazing and it was just a very happy meal. I highly recommend it for brunch in Brussels! Spaghetti bolo for breakfast? Hell yeah!…read more After a morning jaunt through the flea market where I snatched up a fab porcelain pastry plate for 2E, my local host suggested a mid-morning snack at this 100% authentic Belgian café. As soon as we walked through the door my heart started to flutter. The wood paneled restaurant with its large central Zinc bar, gruff but friendly waiters, formica table tops with little napkin dispensers looks like it hasn't budged in 50 years. In a word: adorable! After examining the menu thoroughly I settled on the house specialty of spaghetti bolo and a café russe to wash it all down. An incongruous blend, I know, but hey, in a 24hr Belgian diner anything goes. Needless to say the bolo was like nothing I've ever had. Served over slightly overcooked vermicelli and topped with grated gruyere, the peppery, chunky bolognaise sauce had a regressive, quirky, heartiness to it that made the whole dish super fun to eat. If I lived in BXL I could see La Clef d'Or becomming a regular post flea market spot.
