I am a huge fan of brunch and Oma does brunch fantastically. I stayed in an Airbnb just outside of Brussels and the owner of the apartment recommended Oma for weekend brunch and I am so glad that he did. We woke up a little later than planned and hoped that by the time we walked over the place wouldn't be completely full. Thankfully we arrived just in time and were seated right away. The layout of the restaurant is adorable! The wallpapers, lights, tables, and everything else gave the restaurant a laid-back and comfortable vibe. We opted to get the €17 per person brunch buffet. There were cold cuts, cheese platters, yogurt, waffles with butter and jam, salads, pastas, eggs, sausages, soup, desserts, fruits, and much more. The buffet came with your choice of a hot drink (tea, coffee). I thought that everything tasted amazing and it was just a very happy meal. I highly recommend it for brunch in Brussels! The only negative aspect is that it was still hard to justify the price, but it was still worth it! read more

Had Sunday brunch there today: we were a group of 4. The place itself is lovely and the staff are very friendly! The food was varied: on the one hand there was the traditional stuff for breakfast (eggs, ham, cheese, bread) and in addition there was a mix of salads/pasta.. These were nice but nothing special (some of them felt like they came out of a tin and were mixed with some herbs/spices) . thats not to say it was a bad culinary experience- no, overall it was fan, but I have eaten better quality food in Brussels. However price- food ratio you really can't complain. read more

Sunday = brunch time. this Sunday, sunny day, that was Oma brunch time. Oma means Granny in Flemish. Small place, with old crockery, nice light (empty jam pots on the ceiling, really fashionnable these days...). (the Oma is here, liberty patterns, pearl grey colors...) Brunch is 17€ for the buffet, really fresh, really nice, and well balanced between sweet and salty, seems it change all the time, so you can go there several times without getting bored. In the brunch menu is one hot drink included, and until that, everything is great... But only one hot drink, it's a bit short (and maybe we are so used to have a juice included in the brunch menu!) but maybe we took salty things, or anything else, but we got sooooo thirsty, and we had to wait for soooooo long to get our extra drinks (and they were a little bit expensive on our view). Anyway, will try to go there another time, maybe for brunch again, or for lunch or early bird dinner... Warning, booking is warmly recommanded. the place is small small! read more

A brunch not too pricey for a limited (but good) choice of dishes, OMA was definitely the right choice to do for my brother and I to get rid of our hangover! There are quality preparations and more basic ones but everything was hot, fresh and delicious. There is not so much room and there is no 'wow effect' by seeing the place but the efforts are on the food and the service. I'll be back for sure. read more

One of the best brunches I've had in Brussels! Met up with friends here, which is close to my place (how convenient) and was really looking forward to it as I've seen great things about it here. I was wowed by their selection! They serve up a wide variety of goodies, including yogurt, breads, jams, quiche, soup, fruit salad, bean salad, eggs, warm and cold meats, etc. Brunch costs 17eur per person and is well worth it for a buffet brunch that serves up quality food! Came here around 11am when staying at Airbnb nearby. Lunch menu was pretty limited to sandwiches/tartes. Ordered the croque monsiuer and soup. The service was really friendly and atmosphere was nice, but my sandwich and soup were just not good. The soup had no flavor and the sandwich was the same, I think under seasoning might be at play on both accounts here. But again, place was nice, might have just not lucked out on what I ordered. read more

Boom! A brunch at Oma (which stands for 'grandmother' in Dutch) will instantly make you reminisce about the old days at your grandparents' kitchen. Just imagine wooden tables, dishware sets with awkward flowers and glass jars hanging from all around the ceiling. Now, more importantly, food! At the beginning I didn't expect anything outstanding. The buffet looked well-balanced with both salty & sweet things, however the choice didn't seem wide enough for my liking. But the first piece of a salmon quiche changed entirely my skeptical mindset. Everything that I tried was cooked to perfection, and the crumble was to die for. The small plates do not allow you to put everything at once making a greedy concoction on your plate, but leave the pleasure of making a couple of rounds. And you never get bored as everything tastes so great. The place is not about diversity, it is about food cooked with love, exactly like your granny used to make it. Meanwhile in the background, Angus & Julia Stone were murmuring 'a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down', and I realized that I would like to be back here again next Sunday. Even if would have to line for a while to get in, which seemed the only visible disadvantage. All in all, highly recommended! read more

The first thing we noticed as we walked in the door was the beautiful smell of delicious food baking and cooking... The second thing I noticed was the music... As a professional musician this means something to me.. The play list included hiatus keyote, fat freddies drop, and a whole bunch of groovey jazzy hip hop... The options wher limited but made with love... Luckily we got in before the rush because as we wher leaving the place filled right up! I ate the salmon crumble with a side salad and my friend had a ham salad.. Although they sound boring they wher over the top delicious and gourmet.. Nice Sunday brunch! The place is not very big, but comfortable and warm with wooden tables and flourish wall paper. There is also some space outside, which is perfect when Brussels is sunny! The buffet was both salty and sweet with cakes, yoghurt, muesli on one side and sausages, salads, eggs on the other. The kitchen is visible, some black and white photos on the walls. It wasn't the best brunch in my life and it is not the most chic place, but it's definitely nice enough to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday. read more

I had brunch there on a Sunday morning!The place is really nice and cozy, not big at all but very bright and well organised. The food is all homemade, very fresh and more importantly they make good cappuccino! I would surely recommend it as a very pleasant way to spend your Sunday morning/afternoon. A reservation may be needed, especially if one would like to go with a big group. Prices are very reasonable. read more

OVERRATED! We went to Oma last weekend. After all the hype, we were looking forward to a nice lazy Sunday brunch. Although the food was good, it was not mind-blowingly delicious. BUT... at 12:00 noon (we entered at 10:40 AM) we were 'kindly' requested to leave the table as the next customers were waiting. I don't know about you guys but I do like to take time to enjoy brunch. So I didn't appreciate the fact that we had to leave after less than one and a half hours. But the most frustrating part is that it's supposed to be 'all-you-can-eat' but you actually don't get the time to try out all the foods. A lot of the dishes were empty so we had to wait for a refill. I don't understand why the staff did not mention their policy, namely, it's 'all-you-can-eat' but only for a limited time. So I would only recommend this place if you don't mind to brunch fast. read more
