A merchant shop houses a Roaster that frequently spews out fresh batches, which are then placed into one of ~twenty~ or more Coffee Grinders awaiting for your honoured request. An impressive display is an understatement. Imagine, an Olympic opening ceremonies with all the Coffee Nations side-by-side. More choices than the typical Cafe, it does take the uninitiated some thought prior to the purchase all the while maneuvering in the narrow gap that is the stand-up only coffee bar and the path to the merchandise at the back. The end of the shop contains a corner of Tea-ware that seemed odd and possibly should've been used for more focus on Coffee as the Coffee-ware took up more space but not much entices me to browse-in-awe or pace back-and-forth. 3.5'd For the curious few, they do offer Indonesian Kopi Luwa{€9+} and the ultra rare Bourbon Pointu{€9+}. As for myself, a more generic Guatemala Antigua espresso was plenty satisfying. FAVOURITE roaster!! Ever! They have single origin, mix, whatever you like. I love their flavours!!! Amazing staff as well. If you don't know coffee, they'll guide you. This is the best coffee place ever!! I used to go there very often when I was living in Brussels. I discovered it years ago, attracted by the wonderful scent of freshly roasted coffee beans in the streets at walking distance from my apartment. It then became my favorite spot for afternoon breaks. This is a very little shop with many different varieties of coffee from all around the world. They have coffees for everyone, from very affordable to fancy (i have to try the Kopi Luwak once...), and always top quality. You can of course purchase beans to bring at home. The owners are very nice and helpful, they really know their products and how to choose a coffee that fits your tastes! After two years in America, i am happy to live closer to Belgium now, because i can go more often to this little gem for coffee lovers...every time i go to Brussels actually! Unfortunately, when in Belgium it's safest to stick to the chains (aka Starbucks), the coffee beans I ordered ground for a french press cost me 15€ for 500 grams and we're not at all coarse ground for a bodum/french press, instead they were super-fine ground resulting in terribly murky coffee and the coffee itself lacked flavour. Beans are always freshly roasted and they are of good quality. You will see the difference when you pour hot water on the gound coffee.
