When I first stopped into Brownsburg for Starbucks (a different one) a couple of years ago, I remember being astounded by how ridiculously busy it was. For the Midwest, it was one of the busiest Starbucks I'd ever seen with the parking lot full and requiring you to park in a nearby strip mall to even get there. The barista confirmed it: that Browsburg Starbucks was known as the busiest in the state. Fast-forward a few years later, and Starbucks built this particular Starbucks quite literally a block away from that "busiest" version. The two Starbucks are literally just on opposite sides of the interstate overpass. This is always my Starbucks of choice between the two. Not only can I park easily, but the service is quick, bathrooms are clean, and the entire building just feels so "peaceful" with its plentiful natural light design. PROS: -Brand-new Starbucks. Something about brand-new buildings and all of their shininess is always appreciated. -Isn't nearly as busy as the Starbucks across the street. I can actually easily park here, and I can get service in seconds. -The interior seating is really cute. The entire Starbucks is covered in windows, so you get a ton of natural light, and the Starbucks feels open. It's lacking in those super-comfy, single-person reading chairs, though. Just lots of tables. It's a very "open concept" design. -Fast service, friendly service. I've never had an issue here; the drinks are delicious and served quickly. CONS: -Turning left out of this Starbucks just isn't going to happen. You may need to plan ahead depending on which way you're going. -The parking lot is a little weird-feeling. You'll find a place to park, but it just feels like they maybe should have thought the parking lot design through a little better.

The inside is decorated super cute and has a couple of rooms with seating, so a small group of people can still have lunch together despite the small space. You order at the counter, but then everything after that is table service unless you want to order more food or drinks. They have a drink/dessert case near the register that had some tasty looking dessert options (lemon cake, matcha cheesecake, beignets, macarons), but I didn't try any during my visit. I ordered a 24oz iced banana bread latte with almond milk, a turkey and gouda toastie (a fancy grilled cheese), and a side of kettle chips. One friend also ordered the turkey and gouda with extra turkey and our other friend ordered a different toastie with a cup of tomato soup and a sweet tea. We all really loved our lunch, with one friend saying she liked her sandwich more than the last cafe spot we met up at. The food took longer than I would have thought to come out, but it was because the group next to us had ordered food right before we came in and we hadn't realized. They also forgot my side of kettle chips, but I just walked back up to the register to ask them for it. Loved that they offer a 24oz size for iced coffee, so I'll definitely be stopping in here again soon! They have order forms at the register to build your own charcuterie board to eat there or take to-go. I definitely want to come back to do that- it would be the perfect snack to have at a park picnic. The group next to us had all ordered small charcuterie boards, which was why the food took a little longer to come out. They all looked tasty and were the perfect size for one.

We thought a nice charcuterie board would be great for the family to enjoy with everyone at their home coming and going. I called a few places and they all asked for a few days notice, which I completely understand. This was my last phone call to a place that sells these, and despite them having a large function the next day, she said, "absolutely, give us some time and we will make it happen!" I picked up a board for around 10 people, it cost a little over $100, and was perfect! The family truly enjoyed it, said it was wonderful and I can thank them enough for fitting in the order. Highly Recommend!!!

They are nestled in a plaza in Brownsburg, and I didn't get good vibes when I pulled up, but that quickly changed. To my surprise, I walked into the cutest establishment filled with all sorts of pastries and boba tea drinks. I informed Lizzy that it was my first time at the shop, and she was as excited as I was and helped me select the perfect drink concoction and pastry. If I remember correctly, Lizzy only works on Fridays, and she is very helpful. I ended up getting two drinks instead of one and added a pumpkin cheesecake slice. My first drink was a pumpkin chai milk tea, and my second drink was a red guava passion popping mix. They were both good, but my passion drink was outstandingly delicious. The pumpkin cheesecake slice was perfect because it was lightly sweet and creamy! Overall, this was a 10/10 for me, and I will be back to see Lizzy and try a new drink concoction. Check it out, y'all!

ONLY IN INDIANA. I've heard about Hoosier Roots since they opened. It's about an hour from my house (thank all things holy!) and it's TOTALLY WORTH THE TRIP. (8 minutes outside Brownsburg) We kept it simple- 1 order of chicken (8 pieces, yep, 1 whole chicken) 1 small jalapeño mac & cheese, and because they had house made fried pickles, what the hell- add those, too. Walked out with 2 containers of left overs, all for the grand total of $37. Hoosier Roots ain't bougie. This is a jeans & t-shirt place. But, dang- the chicken is better than my grandma's out of the cast iron skillet. I would absolutely take my fancy friends from out of state to get a REAL taste of Indiana. Trust me- they'll be talking about it for ages. We better be careful, it might become the next ironically hip place that the likes of me can't get in to.
