I go to the store about three times a week and every time I go there is a mess up on my order! Today I waited over 20 minutes for a large cup of black, iced tea unsweetened an extra ice and after 20 minutes, pull up to the window, get a small black iced tea sweetened! I had no time to wait longer! The line was 5 more cars behind me! Usually, I am missing items that I ordered and pay for like avocado spread or I get the wrong bagel! I have been to this location on a couple of occasions...staff is friendly...sandwiches each time have been cold in the middle...the first time they made me a new one, heating it longer, the out side was hot but still cool in the center. This visit, it took 20 minutes to get two fresh brew coffees with at least 6 baristas behind the counter and no one in the store. Our food was finished before coffee. This review is for the pick up drive thru** I've been a Starbucks loyal customer since high school which let's just say it's been way over decade now, and this was actually my first time placing an order on their app and picking it up via drive thru. Normally I order it and run inside to get it. Today there was no line and I didn't want to run inside especially since I was just getting over a cold and didn't want to get anyone sick. I placed my order and as I drove to the first order window, waited about 5 seconds, no greet or anything? So I drove up to the window. Two girls were there, one seemed to be training the other. The older Blonde/red hair female opened the window and began with the biggest attitude I have ever gotten, to tell me that next time I need to stop at the black box and let them know I have arrived to pick up an order. I completely understand however in the mobile app it only said "Drive up and let the barista know your name for your pick up order" this was my first time, I wasn't sure what to exactly do and I did stop at the order box but clearly they were busy and I didn't sit there long enough so someone can explain. Perhaps this should be implemented in the mobile app so others know better for their first time, at least I definitely will never forget the gross attitude I was given! I thought Starbucks was known for their outstanding customer service, I completely understand she's telling me for the future but the attitude was very unprofessional and unnecessary. read more

I have been going to this same Starbucks for a year. The last 6 months I have gone there 4-5 mornings a week and always purchased a 32oz Caramel Macchiato, along with other items, spending nearly $150 -$220 a month. One day I had to go to the Starbucks further down Manatee Ave (next to Manatee Hospital), where they gave me a different size, but when I asked about the 32oz they said they don't have an option to ring up that size. The cashier mentioned her knowing the Manager at this location and that they were not suppose to be doing that, so I decided I wasn't going there and would continue coming back to this location. The next morning I came back to this location and told the lady that has always waited on me what the other Starbucks lady said, and she gave me a free 32 oz Carmel Macchiatto due to being inconvenienced and given the incorrect information. I just went to this location again this morning but this time I was not given the 32 oz. When I explained about getting the 32 oz, the lady got the Manager who said "no" I was to have never received a 32 oz for the Caramel Machiatto. When I explained I had received that size for the past 12 months of coming here, he said " no we dont have an option to ring up the item like that." When I asked how were they able to do it before?" he said "they weren't supposed to have." Basically he was not willing to provide any level of customer service, nor retain my business, rather, had a flaming attitude of "sorry, this is how it is". When I said "well, you just lost my business!" he said " Okay, thank you!". As a business owner myself, any customer who spends $1800 - $2640 a year at my company is a value to have as a customer. If one of my managers ever had a situation with a dissatisfied customer like myself, and did not provide any type of customer satisfaction to retain that customer, rather just allow them to leave like this Manager did me, I would have terminated him on the spot! I apologize, but anyone in a managerial role that cannot recognize an annual profit of $1800 - $2640 from just one customer as being a great profit,, and not wanting to retain that customer over a logical complaint, is a fucking idiot! I have purchased an expresso maker and all the ingredients for a Caramel Macchiato. I will make my own damn coffee, any size I want. read more

The best Starbucks in a ten mile radius. They have at least 4 employees that work the window that are exceptionally nice. The line always moves at a steady pace. The food is never still half way frozen, and the drinks are never less than what you were expecting. This location is usually on my way to wherever I'm headed for the day but if it isn't, I still go out of my way to go here. read more

First off I got to the window to ask for my mobile order and the lady asked what I ordered and I had to tell her all 4 drinks exactly. Then she came back and said oh I accidentally gave your order to someone else so I said oh ok and she shut the window and magically came back with 2 of my drinks then held a cup out the window and asked if I wanted to try a crème brûlée because it is what she had there. I said no twice and then said no because it is not what I ordered. She then said ok, she shut the window again for what was 15 secs and came back with my other 2 drinks which are wrong completely. I paid extra for cold foam on top of a brown sugar espresso and this is what I got along with a toasted white hot chocolate which was half empty and a coffee beverage which again, was not what I ordered. I am very disappointed in this Starbucks. As I pay $25 for 4 drinks. And you not only have my order away but gave me the wrong ones. read more

I've been to a lot of Starbucks and have been a loyal customer for many years. Today was the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a Starbucks. We usually take the drive thru but decided to go inside with my daughter and two grandkids (5 and 1 year old). My granddaughter, who was so excited to go inside for once happily brought her mini poodle puppy inside and while we were in line a young lady working behind the counter yells loudly in a rude tone in front of other customers and my family "you're not supposed to have a dog in here! Unless it's a service animal!" She startled us, and the customers around us, not only because she was loud but because she seemed angry for some reason. We quietly complied and waited after I gave my $27 order. After we got it, I decided to confront her about her attitude because my daughter and 5 year old granddaughter was very upset. I told her, excuse me but you did not have to talk to us that way. I told her she was loud and rude to us in front of the customers and that I didn't appreciate her yelling at me like that in front of my grandkids either. She just says I'm sorry but I didn't think I was being rude and rolls her eyes at me. I then told her not to roll her eyes at me but she just says I'm not and turns her back on me. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this girl was being to me. Then I hear her discussing everything with her coworkers while I'm still standing there. Her apology wasn't an apology and she was not being sincere. She was giving me an attitude and obviously didn't care how she treated me and my family. She could have just told us nicely, I'm sorry ma'am but dogs aren't allowed. She didn't have to be rude to us. She chose to be that way to us and thought she could get away with it. I don't know if it's because we're minorities and she's white and somehow she feels entitled to treat us that way or because she's got a little power to do it it's ok to her. If we were wrong having the puppy in there, she didn't need to embarrass us or talk down to us like we're not worthy as customers of respect. There's a way to talk to people and that was not it. She treated us like we did something terrible. I got her name (Rye) and told her I would file a complaint. If she is a manager, she definitely needs some training on how to treat customers. I contacted their corporate office right after to report the incident because it's not something I can let go. I'm waiting to hear back from their district manager now. read more

A Starbucks coffer once in a while; pricey. The franchise @ US 41 & 53RD doesnt get much sun on the coming inside, & custumers often freeze. Baristas say they don't have authority to raise the temperature unless they call corporate. It is a bunch of BULL. My wife and I chose to go to this Starbucks because it was the closest one to our home on our way to the farmer's market this morning. The lady that took her order at the drive-thru was very pleasant over the speakerphone and offered a substitution for the berry refresher that they were out. As we move through the drive-thru there was a bird in the weight of our car. The employees here are not all bad. But a few young ladies need a few lessons on manners. One in particular. Everything time I have been in this store this same girl is always the same. Today she asked me if I needed milk and threw it on the counter at me. I said thank you as I received a dirty look. Then she proceeded to get the trash in the store slamming trash cans.
