Pulling into Blythe on the Arizona border at the Colorado River there are actually two Starbucks just an exit or two apart in case you miss the first. This one is clean and efficient with all the usual selections. We ordered two Mocha Cookie Frappicinos without whipped cream, plus a shot of espresso (we've learned over time some of these drinks have hardly any caffeine). Another awesome experience for our mobile order. Everything was correct and ready to go upon arrival. Love the barista greeting as you entered and "have a great day" upon leaving. We ordered an Americano (all the coffee taste without the bitterness), an iced lavender oatmilk matcha (my new obsession!), a scone, and some egg bites. All kinds of deliciousness. The music playing in the background was nice, but we had to practically shout to be heard over it. We love being able to place a mobile order here, and quickly be on our way again. Possibly one of the better Starbucks I've been to. Cashier (possibly manager) was polite, efficient, and, quick. Baristas were rocking drinks out quickly. Only complaint I've got is the transients lingering - but I honestly can't blame them when it's 120 out. They were not a problem to us but I know some can be aggressive. read more

Definitely makes me more grateful for my local Starbucks down the street from my house who are always nice and accommodating. I simply asked this lady if she had any other lower calorie fruit for the oatmeal since they were out of blueberries and she got offended when I said lower calorie, lol like honey, I'm sorry that you're insecure. Watched her send away a mentally handicapped man who wasn't doing anything, but that's okay. Gotta follow the rules or else who knows what might happen! It's only 106 degrees outside after all. Also watched her make a woman and a clearly overheated little dog leave the store. Again, wonderful job. It's important to follow every corporate rule rather than let people cool off for a few moments in the corner. Decent staff, my pike was a little cold but it was not bad. I was able to go inside and not worry about my semi outside which was a bonus.

We find ourselves in a very unfortunate situation. My car broke down coming back from Arizona. I still have a 3 hour drive to get back home and I'm traveling with my girlfriend and my dog. I took them both to this Starbucks and told the barista our situation. Alexander was incredibly respectful and understanding. He said that my girlfriend and dog were welcome to wait in the store's AC and have some coffee while I took the car to go get fixed. It was a 100 degree day at the least and to have this opportunity for them to wait in the cool Starbucks was a blessing among a lot of curses on this trip. Always a great stop on the way to or from California. Friendly baristas that make your drinks as ordered. Pre-pandemic the inside was always a cozy place to rest for a few minutes before getting back on the road. Clean restrooms and plenty of tchotchkes to look at or purchase. Since the pandemic, we've been through a couple of times and sat in our SUV people watching for a few minutes before getting back on the road. Difficult to get in and out of sometimes due to the corner location and smallness of the parking area. Tip from a regular - park in the neighboring parking area for the shopping plaza and walk over if you are not using the drive thru. Much easier and you are in a better position to drive out to the far lane before the nearest intersection to get back to the freeway. We were on the road in our RV and put in a large breakfast order to pick up. Our order was ready on time and packed up to go. All was there with nothing missing. These things earned the three stars. The big faux pas was the fact that our two breakfast sandwiches were unheated and cold, straight from the refrigerator sealed in the plastic packaging. When ordering on the app there was no place to request they be heated, and of course I supposed they would be. I've bought these sandwiches at several other locations, always heated. I did get a piece of pumpkin bread that i requested heated and it was. Why would anyone want them cold? They have egg, cheese and meat. It seems someone was being lazy and knew it wouldn't be noticed with a take out order. We heated them in the microwave, guessing on the time since there were no instructions on the wrapper. However they weren't as good as when heated in the store's convection oven, as they usually are. Disappointing and lame. read more

Manager said nope can't let you in, this is all I have to run the store. There was a sign on the door that said "mobile order only" or drive through. This Starbucks is OK. Good customer service is a hit or miss at this location. On our our most recent trip it was a miss.. We stopped around 7pm on a weekday and it was surprisingly busy. There were people sitting inside and outside as well. The drive thru was also poppin. We stood there looking over the menu deciding on what we wanted. We made eye contact with the cashier several times and she just stared at us. We didn't get a hi or not even a little smile.... Two male customers suddenly walked in and the cashiers eyes got big. We came here 9 weeks ago after getting something to eat at a fast food restaurant nearby. We went through the drive thru where R ordered a macchiato. Nobody was in line ahead of us, and the barista was very quick and efficient. We had to wait maybe a minute before the drink was handed to me at the window. Drink was made as ordered. It has separate men and women's bathroom with more than 1 stall (woohoo). There is a drive through. Worst Starbucks in existence. Hot food came out before drinks and mind you I ordered iced tea and lemonade (both can be poured!). I watched the staff complete orders from the drive through before touching my cups. Then when I asked about it, I was told that the drive through takes priority. This is kinda that perfect point in the drive from Phoenix to the ocean that I need coffee. Of course, a lot of other people think the same so this is a crazy busy place! Either way from or to, it's the spot, and since it is good to stretch the legs, I don't go through the drive thru even though there is one. There is bathroom immediately to your right as you come in the door, and it is always busy too! Drinks are same as other Starbucks, but a word of caution -- try your drink before leaving this pitstop just in case they rushed the espresso and it tasted like watered down drip. Have them remake it if it isn't right even if they don't want to but you're paying for this! Yes, that beautiful ocean can wait another few minutes. You want that great coffee taste to last for several miles down the road. And if you are heading back to Phoenix (or wherever), you want that jolt of caffeine to get you safely home. read more

OK, maybe this is not the only Starbucks in America to do this, but in thirty years I have never had my time wasted with this type of gross inefficiency at any other Starbucks.
