What the heck Starbucks?! Ugh...I am so disappointed to have to write this review. We always stop at this location on our drive from Phoenix to Riverside...and back again. Mid-way through the trip we need bathrooms and caffeine and this Starbucks has never really disappointed until this last weekend. We have been making a lot of trips recently and there has definitely been a steady decline. The cleanliness, the employees, the lack of product (more often than not out of cold brew...also out of other milks/syrups on the last trip)...all of it is in a downward spiral. This is by far the worst Starbucks. Staff are not friendly. Half the time the drive thru is closed or the lobby. They never have anything in stock. You wait in the drive thru forever. I asked for some recommendations on how the Strawberry Açaí refresher was as I had never tried it and the barista running the drive thru was very helpful and even added that sometimes the strawberries in the drink are not desirable among the people that order this drink and that she personally enjoyed adding lemonade to give a bit of subtle sweetness that isn't too overbearing. I thought that was excellent service and I tipped more than the cost of the drink. I called the store to also inform management of my experience and was hoping to get the barista's name but they did not release it to me. Whoever you are, thank you. Love coming here every time when we hit the 6 hour drive to Los Angeles from Phoenix. The men's bathrooms are always clean, and staff has always been friendly. Location is a bit further from everything else, so after lunch or a meal we'd always have to drive out of our way to get the coffee, but all in all, it's good. read more

This is the men's room at the Starbucks in Blythe CA. The urinal was out of order on Saturday January 14th on my way to California and in the same condition on my return trip, January 16th. The posted sign on the urinal is not very professional and it took some effort to write. Put some more effort into getting the urinal fixed. You would think that this location being off a major interstate, there would be a clean and fully functioning restroom considering the amount spent on average for coffee and other products. When I contacted Starbucks customer service all they wanted to do was give me a $5.00 credit to a gift card I don't have. They did however tell me that they will address the issue with local management. read more

I visit this Starbuck's frequently as it is just off the 10 freeway and on the way to my home away from home, Phoenix. The Barista's in this location are the big bombdidly! They are always friendly! The drinks are awesome! And the bathroom is always clean...which is a big plus because I usually have to pee like a race horse by this point in the journey (oops TMI.) Anyway, let's not kid ourselves, Blythe is an armpit, and a stinky, sweaty one at that. If I lived in Blythe I would spend my days planning my own demise or I would be trying to tunnel my way out with a spoon. Yet these bright and shiny souls at Starbuck's greet you with a smile every time. Perhaps they are smiling through the tears, or maybe they have come to terms with their destiny, either way, they make a damn fine latte. If you are driving through Blythe, be careful not to get caught in the speed-trap and get a $300 speeding ticket (a story for another time,) get off at the Lovekin exit and visit one of my favorite Starbuck's on the planet. Make sure to tip well because they might be saving that cash for their escape from Blythe. Help a brother out! read more

This is without a doubt my favorite Starbucks anywhere. Too bad it is so far from home. I always stop at this one on my way between California and Arizona because it is right off the 10 freeway in Blythe. The staff here is always exceptional, beyond any of my expectations and far better than any other Starbucks. Popping in to rate this place after at least 35 visits over the years. Today it is particularly evident that these women are in the groove. The place is always clean and organized. They are always friendly, day and night! I've never had an order wrong here and they have inventory in line. This is important to a tea drinker! This Starbucks failed twice with not caring about us. First, we had ordered two asiago pretzels. When the were ready someone just dropped them on the pick up counter and didn't say anything. When we asked if those were for Scott the Barista said, "I don't know, they just came out of the oven." Next, we had ordered two iced waters but after waiting several minutes they never came. When I went to the pickup counter to check there were two iced lattes with my name on it. When I told the Barista that I had ordered iced waters she grumpily said, "Well, I can get you water but I don't know about the lattes. You'll have to talk to someone else." She then turned away, got my waters, and put them down without looking at me or speaking with me again. I guess it's fine since they didn't charge me for lattes, but I just don't understand the "I could care less about you and your problems" attitude from some employees. I'm still trying to find somewhere good to stop in Blythe, but maybe my problem is that I'm stopping in Blythe. So far, I'm 0 for 3. If you need Starbucks, then that's what this is. Horrible service! The employees there have such a bad attitude towards their customers. Just absolutely horrible!

Blythe hasn't always had a Starbucks so it's a welcome sight (and site) driving through. What separates Starbucks from the Blythe chain fast food joints -- for one, it's company-owned so it's consistent and managed by corporate. Also, caffeine and gasoline are almost required when you stop in Blythe regardless of which direction you're headed. We noticed the bathrooms are right by the entrance so there was a line. Out of personal policy, I always buy a drink to pay for the employees keeping the bathroom clean. This one has a nice big men's bathroom with a sink and single stall in it -- odd but whatever. They also carry Starbucks drinks like every other location around the world! And the staff is friendly and well trained. I'd probably normally give Starbucks locations 4 stars if they're up to par but as an oasis in a long desert drive, a perfect score is in order. read more

Love this place love the people! I am generally not a great fan of SB but this one is my oasis in the desert! The only reason i say that is - the people are highly positive, kind, helpful sweet and what not! I happen to visit Blythe a whole lot lately & when i head back home which abt 3 hrs its mostly late in the night & kinda makes me want to drink something to keep me Up. These guys make me a customized chocolate milk which is heavenly. Even if any of the above isn't great enough I really just appreciate the fact that there are such amazing people who are willing to work in such thinly populated Blythe!
