It's always nice to be greeted when walking in a store. Check. I placed my order quickly, although I said caramel macchiato instead of the caramel Frappuccino my daughter wanted. The barista seemed a little annoyed at my mistake which my daughter caught quickly before the order could be rang through the register. The wait was minimal. When my order was ready, my name was whispered and my daughter's frappe was left on the counter of the less than busy store. This is the 2nd Starbucks location that I frequent that never holds on to my Yelp review once completed. Well, here I go again. This location is my favorite and I really miss it's open options that were available prior to COVID19. Although this location stays busy I just really enjoy sitting in my favorite spot at the window ledge provided for beverages and food. They offer outdoor seating for convenience at this time. The Baristas are always kind and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have the best experience regarding food and beverage purchase. Beverages are perfected 90% of the time, food 100%. Location runs like a well oiled machine. Mobile order was ready three minutes before projected time. Drinks were perfect. The store was super busy but being managed well. Staff was friendly. This location is in the Quarry Lake Shopping Center close to a few other stores where parking is super accessible. I ordered $25 dollars worth of stuff. I got 2 drinks one for tonight and the other for tomorrow. The first drink I got was the pink drink. The milk curdled. I always get this drink with milk NEVER had that.... it was chunky. And sour. They also left of the dried strawberries. I paid for extra.... didn't get any of them. My quad blonde roast was good..... super sweet. Because it didn't have a quad shot. This has been my go to order for months now. It's always a little bitter barely sweet and has a super strong coffee taste. Not this time. Coffee was barely noticeable. Tasted like a normal sweet hot drink. No way they added all the shots. I ordered on the app, they made me the wrong drink but with the correct sticker. I ordered a special holiday drink off the menu with no changes. Over $6, and was given unsweetened coffee no syrup no whip cream no praline crumbles. I spilled a little of it because lid was not snapped on and should have sticky hands but I don't because it had no sugar in it. This one of the slowest Starbucks I've ever encountered. Don't bother ordering your coffee in advance because it still won't be ready. On two occasions I've arrived and the woman had my cup just sitting there while she's doing everything but making drinks. I wish I could've given 0 stars. This was the most unprofessional service I've ever had. I paid for a grande drink and instead of giving me that she gave me a venti . Although it was the bigger drink I didn't want it because it was late . she then tells me to "take the drink girl " and when I refuse she grabs a grande cup and dumps the drink into it spilling majority of it on the floor. she then tops it with whipped cream. Drinks were made well as usual. The staff on this day was below average and in need of professional development. One person was very busy making drinks while 3-4 other employees were in the side office talking very loudly. Sarah, our cashier definitely needs more customer service training. She was talking to other employees while taking our order, and when asked if they did police/military discount she shrugged her shoulders instead of asking the fellow employees that she was busy talking to. When I think of Starbucks, I think of what Howard Schultz described: a special place where you could go to enjoy coffee. He described a place where the beans are ground in front of you, with relaxing music playing in the background and the aroma of coffee in the air. A place where intellectuals can discuss theories and businessmen can talk shop. A place that's more than just a cafe. Unfortunately this place just isn't it. The coffee is your standard Starbucks affair, pretty good, but still in the same league as other coffee shops. The bigger issue is the shop itself: its more coffee line than coffee house. There are only a few spots to sit down and the way the shop is structured a lot of room is taken up by lines. This makes it difficult for anyone to have a small meeting here, because you just can't rely on getting a decent spot. There is an outdoor area, but once your going outdoors you mind as well just walk to the quarry and enjoy the view. It's still a good place to get that morning coffee on the way to work, but to sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere before a long day? Not so much. read more

A typical Starbucks, as far as I'm concerned. I ordered a soy latte, which was actually quite good, and the staff was pleasant. It does get crowded in here and the line will build fairly easily, so expect to wait at least a few minutes to place your order. The location by the quarry is nice. read more

Overpriced for the quality. I enjoy a sandwich from here time to time or an iced chai but the rest is not particularly great. The coffee is left in the pot for the majority of the day, the pastries get hard and gummy because they stay in there for the day and some of the staff seem like they really don't want to be there while other staff are great. read more

It's a Starbucks in the Suburbs. The service is great but there is always a line and that line seems full of people that seem to have never ordered at a Starbucks before. I don't think the service is really slow I just think they always have just a little too much volume for the amount of employees they have. If you can handle airheads that aren't paying attention holding up the line while you're just trying to get your fix then you can probably deal with this Starbucks. read more

My friend who wears a head-scarf was denied service into the store due to not wearing a 'correct mask'. Her scarf was tied around her nose & mouth, similar to a cloth mask and served as a mask- she had not been told by other starbucks that this was insufficient or wrong. Many customers and even workers were wearing cloth masks and were served without hesitation yet my obviously Muslim friend was not. I am giving this Starbucks 2 stars because of it's location. Other than that, I don't like going there. There is always a line; the staff are not friendly and the drinks are sub par. I got a hot chocolate and chai there and it tasted more like the almond milk than a chai or hot chocolate. I had to throw away drinks right after I tried them they were so bad. If I wanted just almond milk, I can go to the Fresh Market and get a half gallon of it like that for way less and with a much nicer experience. And if I bring in my own mug?? Forget it. That seems to be a problem... And it is not pleasant to be pushed away by other customers getting their drinks... I didn't know getting coffee was a contact sport! I have gone to Starbucks allover but for some reason this one leaves ice chips in all of it's blended drinks. Forgot Java Chip bec you get ice chips and the chocolate chips are blended. I had them make it three times and I gave up. Even though it is not a real starbucks, the one in Barnes and Noble on Reisterstown Rd actualy makes it right! I like Starbucks. Each place is a little different but you get pretty much the same thing. What I like about the Quarry Lake Starbucks is that the employees are efficient and friendly. What I don't like is the layout. It is not really conducive for busier or larger crowds. To order your drink, you need to go to the far side of the store. You then make your way back towards the front to pick up your drink. When there are a bunch of people waiting for a drink, this area is narrow and creates a bottleneck. read more

A great place to unwind. They make mobile orders pretty quickly and the staff is kind and quick. They remodeled the seating area a few months ago and have made it a much more comfortable place for people to sit with their laptops. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating as well. read more

I went in to make a return for a holiday gift. Apparently the store it was purchased from had incorrectly rung me up and overcharged me. Lisa and her team were amazing and sorted it out quickly! This Starbucks location is a mixed bag. Some of the other reviewers have already mentioned some of the downsides of this location - having to walk all the way to the back of the store to place your order, long lines during busy times which create a bottleneck, etc. There are some good baristas here, but also some who could be friendlier. Today I had a bad experience at this location. The customer in front of me and ordered a pastry, but I suppose she did not use the "proper" name of the pastry so the barista (a lady who usually wears a pony tail) corrected her in front of the other customers including myself. I understand that this type of thing has gone on in Starbucks stores for years, but just because the employees are responsible for learning the "proper" way to order something, does not mean the customers are held to these standards.
