usually I would order in the app but I wanted to pay a different way so I went through the drive thru and did not get what I asked for. I told the worker I would like a Vanilla Bean Cream Frappe but I would like Strawberry pure blended in it (my normal order and I never have a problem) she said, ok so a strawberry cream frappe, got it. I let her know, oh no, I want the vanilla bean frappe but want to add strawberry to it. she said ok! At the window my order was not repeated to me and I just paid. when I got my drink, it was printed out, STRAWBERRY CREAM FRAPPE and the taste was not what I usually get. The worker did not take my right order even after being corrected and I found this a bit upsetting. As a former Starbucks employee I don't normally throw shade on a Starbucks. I know it's a quick paced job. But I also know mistakes happen and know how to deal with customers who come in with a complaint. I live near this Starbucks, it's a treat to come and get some coffee because we are budgeting. So when it's been the fourth time in a row that something has gone wrong with an order of three or less drinks, I will get a little upset. This most recent one was a nitro coffee bought on Sunday. It was a simple one drink order for my fiancé. She got halfway through her drink as we were headed to the movie and said, "There's something metal in my drink!" I looked into her cup and low and behold there was the spout to the nitro coffee dispenser sitting in her coffee. We couldn't turn around right then and had to wait until the movie was over. When we returned, I took it inside the cafe and spoke to two employees. One girl said, "That's where it went, it's been missing for a while!" The other looked at me rather dead pan, "Did you want a refund?" I really wanted an apology more than anything, But I didn't get one. Instead I felt guilted, like I was a bother and trying to get one over on them. She gave me a refund like it was just another transaction in the day. I told her to be careful draining it because I didn't know what all pieces were in there. She just looked at me. Another customer was like, "Did you take pictures?" I said no, I'm not about that life, I just wanted an apology for them not noticing that they dropped a huge chunk of metal in my fiancé's drink, ruining it, and didn't even notice. The way it was treated was poor customer service. Also, maybe work on getting drinks right a bit more than just getting drinks out. read more

We ordered our drink and they repeated it back with us. We drove up to the window and they handed us our drink. It wasn't the same drink my wife orders at other locations. Even the label on the drink was incorrect. We handed it back to the drive thru barista and told her we wanted a scoop of vanilla bean in the cold foam. We waited as they remade the drink only to hand us the same damn drink as before. We tried to explain and repeat it to the barista the line was growing behind us and we were late to Christmas Eve lunch. This is the second time I have ordered from this starbucks, the first being two months ago as a drive through where my drink was made as a warm drink when I specifically ordered iced and they had run out of the pastry I ordered. I did not think much of it and reordered today using the Starbucks app, they mistakenly made a cold version of my warm latte I ordered (this is difficult to do with application orders as you choose hot or cold drink before the order is placed). Upon arriving for pick up the drink was iced instead of a hot drink, again I accepted the apology. One of the sandwiches I ordered was out of stock and I was offered a different sandwich that is less expensive with the addition of turkey or ham (some sort of protein) which was not performed and instead I was given a misshapen sandwich that was not warm and a Siracha sauce packet. I am only giving two instead of zero stars for this "outstanding" service because it is during covid times and despite paying $23 for two drinks and two sandwiches, still received some form of calories that cured my hunger after a 32 hour hospital shift read more

It still surprises to be see non drive throughout sometimes as I cant tell you the last time I walked in a Starbucks that wasn't at an airport or mall. I am a Starbucks fan and gold card holder, and this is one of the stores I frequent most in Bakersfield. The staff is always friendly, yet professional. You have to remember that most of us are coming here for our morning (or midday or evening) caffeine fix. We are prone to be - shall we say - not at our most pleasant until we've gotten it. I find it makes a HUGE difference when I am greeting with a smile and a cheery voice, as I am here, as opposed to standing and waiting to be served while the employees visit with each other and ignore you (I won't say which location that was-at least not in this review) There is both inside and outside seating, though this time of year the outside seating is mostly enjoyed in the early morning hours before noon. My favorite place to sit is in one of the two big comfy seats in the corner near the coffee table. Free wi-fi is a plus, too. What I like about this particular Starbucks is that they are very consistent with the quality control on their drinks. I have never had a burned shot here. (I have had this problem consistently at other locations in town-shame on you Valley Plaza tore) And the tea tastes as if it has actually been shaken up correctly. 4 Stars! read more

One person in particular(Anisha) always seems to stand out every time I enter the store. Anisha has a booming but tenderly uplifting personality that is more contagious than COVID-19. Its nice to see someone who actually enjoys what she does. You dont get a better position in any company and then get a great attitude. You get a better position BECAUSE of your great attitude. I've only been to this location a handful of times and it's never very crowded when I go so that may make a difference on how I rated them. They are friendly, quick, and make my drink correctly each time. I am not too picky on my drinks and usually get something simple but even simple things can get messed up. The parking here however is awful. The small area in front of them has maybe 12 spaces and one or two handicap spaces and they share that with two other businesses, otherwise you park kinda far away. I look forward to visiting this location again when I'm in the area. read more

This is a very convenient hop off of Coffee and Stockdale Hwy. there was adequate parking available and staffed with quite a few baristas. The wait time was less than 4 minutes. I wasn't aware that refills for my iced coffee were only .50 cents! Now onto the really cool stuff! As I said wait time was less than 4 minutes. The baristas were very nice and efficient. I wasn't quite sure what to order, so the barista recommended the Peppermint Iced Coffee. It was a treat! This is my very favorite Starbucks. I reviewed another store thinking that it was this one. I feel that manager, Diane, and the staff at this store deserve a great review for me, because they do such a great job every day. This place is clean, fast, accurate, and friendly. The baristas are patient and accommodating. My 5 year old makes her own orders and the staff are very sweet to her. At this location, they get to know you and are thoughtful about your needs. They treat me like a friend. I love the old school way of doing things and the small town feel, even in a big town. This store greets you like a neighbor and treats you like a friend. The customer is valued here. Quality is number one at this store. The drinks come well prepared and quickly. Coffee bar is well stocked at all times. It is just a great place to sit for a while with friends and greet folks you know While meeting folks you don't. You'll find me here just about every weekday. Ok if you know me at all, I love sushi, tacos, and what I affectionately refer to as "Bux." Starbucks! This updated location in a new suite (old Los Hermanos building) is adorable and features a drive thru!! Just what we needed!! I've been twice recently and I love the drive thru set up and the crisp newness of the place. Inside, you'll find all your normal favorite Bux items and drinks. However, I don't like the interior setup personally. I also don't think the young baristas are very professional. Sad face! One young gal belittled my sweet SO who was just trying to get his under-caffeinated girlfriend a treat with her condescending explanation of how "skinny" is made. Eye roll! None of the baristas have greeted us or any customers during either visit and also they are pretty preoccupied with taking selfies with their friends who visit. Not how to run a business, Bux! It seems a lot of people like the new interior. I think it's a waste of space. There's 1 huge table in the middle, i assume for college students from nearby to study together with a few high tops and low tops around it.
