I love the theme and the decorations inside. Rather large space and could accommodate a baby shower, makeup event or moms-meetup. While the coffee is still the biggest strength, Joy Bar does offer more. Whether you need a baked good, a bag of beans, a chocolate bar (courtesy of local artisans Eigen), or a gift, Joy Bar has you covered. The baristas are always friendly, and while there isn't always a table to spare (inside at least - patio seating is usually open in nicer weather), the atmosphere remains comfortable. High Point is practically hemorrhaging coffee shops at this point, but even amid the heightened competition, Joy Bar is a reliably good option.

I've had a Moroccan Tea, a Chai Tea, an Oolong Tea, Farmhouse Chicken Salad and Pimiento Cheese that they sell in containers from inside the case, too many different kinds of cookies than I dare to admit, and a few slices of their standard cheesecake. The cookies are amazing. But it's the cheesecake that keeps me coming back. The cheesecake and the chicken salad actually. Both are divine but the cheesecake is the best I've ever had and I highly recommend it. Service behind the counter is always pleasant, professional and speedy. The vibe is almost goth but it's darling and whimsical and clean. Im a repeat customer for as long as I'm in the area.

I ordered a Secret Garden tea iced, and I think that was my first mistake, it wasn't steeped long enough before it was iced so it was super bland. I'm used to making super strong teas. My husband had a delicious earl grey that I shared with him. We also ordered the cornbread cookie and the black and white to split, and even though they were beautiful, they were too sweet for us. We will try the savory pastries or sandwiches next time, I'm convinced we just didn't order the right things for us. Can't wait to come back one day, this spot is gorgeous.

It was confusing and there wasn't many cars in the area so I can't imagine what it would be if it was full. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. That's always a plus. The coffee was great. The quesadilla was great, and the chicken was well-seasoned. They also season the outside of the tortilla, and I appreciated the extra kick of flavor. This came with sour cream and a salsa verde. The mac and cheese was mild, creamy, and chock full of pepper. Usually I like a sharper cheese flavor, but I enjoyed it. Smoothies were extremely cheap (under $5 for a 16 oz), but unfortunately we got what we paid for. They were wayyyy too sweet for our tastes, and not a lot of any fruit flavors came through. Our server was kind, attentive, and quick. The interior was very spacious and I noticed several people with laptops out doing work while they drank coffee. It's a nice space.
