We had a good experience at this Starbucks when we took my niece out on a little day date. We stopped in for a quick pick me up and was greeted by the kindest barista. She helped guide us into a decision for an 8 year old as they have many options available to us. The atmosphere was buzzing with people working, conversing, reading, and relaxing. We ended up ordering the pink drink, a lemonade, and a frappuccino. The drinks were prepared quickly for us as we took a seat. As we looked at ordering, we were deciding on ordering some cookies and ended up doing so. One thing we noticed was there were a plethora of fruit flies in the dessert window, which was kind of a turn off. This is the reason why I lowered the star because it was kind of gross. Ultimately, we decided to order it as we found they don't actually take them out of that glass window. As for our experience, it was great and the drinks were delicious. I don't give many 5 stars, but this was my first time inside. I ordered my drink ahead so I'd have time to enjoy it. Then I decided to try their Egg White bites. I sat down to wait for them to be heated and the barista brought them to me. So kind. Another barista complimented me too. As we were leaving they wished us a good evening. This location was rebuilt or moved compared to some of the older reviews. The inside is built to match the aesthetic of the new stores and looks nice. They added two drive thru lanes to help keep people moving. The service has always been great with very kind employees this has been especially true every time I've gone through the drive-thru! Seating is plentiful inside and out, and the interior is far more welcoming to grab a drink, have a work meeting or just hang out with a friend. The service on my second time though exceeded the okay experience of the first time. The baristas are engaging and seem to enjoy working there. My drinks have all been made to order and I've enjoyed a couple of the new additions. Another advantage to this location is the drive-through. Although I've not used it yet, I have yet to see a long line. The store shares space with four fast casual restaurants, so parking can sometimes be challenging. Entrances and exits are limited and not always easily identifiable. Overall, I've found this store a fine coffee chain addition along the 436 corridor in Altamonte Springs. read more

I like this little Starbucks. It's a busy location, so things can sell out, but people don't linger. What does that mean? It means you can always find a parking spot. I was pleasantly surprised as most Starbucks are pretty packed at 7am but both days it was great. My drink was prepared as ordered and the staff was friendly. In Summary... New Supervisor Carly's a BIT*H ... This Sunday, I placed my mobile order like usual but 15 minutes ahead of time before leaving for work as I know they are incredibly busy on Sundays. I get there and it still hasn't been started. I noticed there's a new girl behind the counter named Carly and there was just something off about her demeanor/attitude but eh, didn't think much of it. Still, I was prepared to wait no more than 5 minutes with full understanding that it is busy. I'd come back for it once I get sent on a break (I work right across the place). I return at about 11 am and perfect! Thankfully it's still there but I go to the bathroom. A minute pass and come to find out, Daniel had JUST thrown it out. Confused, because they know it was my order there right as I walked in. "It's been here since 8 in the morning," he says. Yet no, as I placed the order at around 9 am before starting work. Nonetheless, it was a complete mistake and I understood as he apologized. He offered to remake it and I genuinely apologized but said, "do you really not mind real quick? It's just a Hazelnut Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut Syrup." He was quick about it but while doing so, this short girl CARLY comes around the corner, and butts in asking if Daniel is remaking an order. I hear Daniel saying "it was my bad." Then guess what? This new girl Carly keeps talking and complaining loudly in a gnarly tone for everyone to hear, "Oh yeah, they ALWAYS do that. And then we have to remake it for them even though they're the ones who left it sitting there. It's fine though, I'd rather have you throw it out." I have NEVER DONE THAT. I was completely shook about what I'm hearing her say with Daniel knowing I'm a foot away. I have been going to this place almost everyday for the past 2 years and know many baristas by name- new and past employees! I have been most understanding about rough days and some baristas leave little notes on my cup lid and I have a great relationship with all of them. In the meantime though, Daniel keeps looking at me as though he's apologizing on her behalf with his eyes. I grab my order without saying a word and left. I was fuming in both embarrassment and anger. Now, it's been 2 days and I really don't write negative reviews, if any. However, this doesn't sit well with me since hearing from other baristas as of yesterday, she gets quite the complaints about the same issues nor is she well liked by her peers. AND I FIND OUT SHE'S A SUPERVISOR?! How the hell-. I'm not sorry, but I hope you get a proper reprimand for this. Your behavior was beyond unprofessional as a supervisor meant to mentor peers. I get rough days, believe me- I work at a BUSY place! We're busy as hell on Sundays but Carly, you don't deserve to be there, creating a toxic environment for your fellow baristas thinking what you did (or doing) is okay. I am genuinely pissed. To add, since you feel comfortable talking badly and generalizing loudly about someone you don't even know, in front of them, I feel compelled to write this for public view. And Daniel, next time, don't feel hesitant to speak up and correct someone even if they're a supervisor, especially if you know who they are talking about. I just needed this off my chest. The one star is FOR Carly, not this Starbucks location. Every other barista is friendly and amazing. Carly just needs or needed to go, like yesterday. read more

Stopped here for the first time over the weekend for a Frappuccino because I needed a cold beverage on a really hot day. There is no drive thru as this is a smaller Starbucks location than others. When you enter, you first notice how small the inside is as there are only a few seating options. There is an outdoor seating area that is actually bigger. I ordered a Java Chip frap as this is my usual go to drink. The barista was polite and the guy making the drink for me prepared it in just a few minutes. It's conveniently located right next to the mall so I recommend this place for anyone doing shopping in the area. But do note the seating inside is limited and there is no drive thru option. Their concern is Covid but they don't think that the customers need to wash their hand to consume the door and drinks. They are sending us to use bathrooms of a restaurant next door. This location only has about 4 tables inside, but the outdoor seating is AMAZING and it's covered so no melting in the hot Florida sun! As always with Starbucks the location offers free WiFi so it's a convenient place to study or do work outside. The baristas and service there have always been good. The last time I was there I ordered my favorite keto drink, not that I follow a keto diet, I just like the way the drink tastes. The baristas started a conversation with me about how I thought of the drink and I told him about the keto drinks and another one of my favorites because he said it sounded good and he wants to try it. Nothing wrong with the actual business, just the staff. I had went in with my sisters, got 3 drinks (two of them being water, another being a pink drink). When my sister asked for light ice, the comment was completely ignored but it was understandable so we brushed it off. Normally, I'm a HUGE fan of all Starbucks locations; however, my past 2 experiences at this location have not been the best. I'm not a huge fan of some of the new employees. Two days in a row, my drink has had to be remade 3 times and 2 times. Personally, I don't think it is a difficult drink to make. I'm no barista but it is just an iced sugar-free vanilla coffee. Really not the most difficult drink on the planet. Yesterday I was even charged twice the amount on accident by the cashier. So I paid an extra $2+ and didn't even get the right drink until the third try. That being said, I will say that they somewhat redeemed themselves because no matter how many times they had to remake the drink, they were always extremely pleasant about it, unlike most other places. That is one thing I love about Starbucks. They hire extremely customer service oriented baristas and if something is wrong, they have no problem fixing it. Like most reviews point out, the place is particularly small with limited seating and the moment there are more than 5 customers waiting in line, it feels rather crowded. While it can be inconvenient from time to time, this fact is somewhat the actual charm of the location. Granted, I come in nearly every morning to get my coffee on the way to work, so I don't have a personal need for "space". I'm focusing on the actual coffee and the quality of customer service that I receive on a daily basis. I have been a regular for nearly a year, and my order is always perfect. Also, every interaction with the employees is pleasant and the service is fast. I'm not sure what more I would like from my "fast-food" coffee experience. This Starbucks location is a little meh... I don't come to this location very often, but i used to frequent it more before when I would pick spots to soak up their wifi when I worked from home. Since then, they've added more shelving, but makes the place feel more cramped and messy. They have one small table and another small "bar" area. I don't get the same vibe from the baristas either. I liken coffee baristas to be a little edgy/hipster/smart-looking...but the ones here, let's just say they aren't... They also didn't look too happy to be there either.
