Disappointed today! Went in, said hi, no greet back just a stare! Asked for a 20piece lady rang me up, stared at me without even telling me the price even tho I knew the price but you should ALWAYS COMMUNICATE with your customers, after I paid she walked back packed my bread brought it back up and just handed it to me, I said thank you and once again no "your welcome" or "thank you" from her. After I left and was ready to eat them noticed she shorted me and they weren't as good! I will not come back to this location! Vallejo is way better!! read more

Recently found out there was a star bread here in Vacaville. I always go to the one in Fairfield.. Me and my best friend came in very excitedly... Only to be very disappointed, worst customer Service I have ever received in a long, long time. Me and my family own multiple family businesses in the Solano County area, customer service is the most important element to any successfully ran business. I came in and started checking everything out, We were not greeted at all, no welcome in, nothing just stared at. My best friend started ordering, she ordered two boxes of 20 piece bread. For a total of $16.. She began to swipe her debit card. The swipe on her card did not work, I then asked " May" the not friendly at all employee if she had a plastic bag to use on her card, which we do all the time for our customers and it works perfectly. She looked at me like I was an idiot and mumbled " no"... She then stared at us. She would have lost a sale of $16.00 had I not then used my very own debit card and not only payed for mine, but my best friends bread. I swiped my card paid and she did not say thank you, or anything at all. I asked her if she rang up the special Nutella Bread I had picked out, she said no. I lifted my card to swipe to pay for the Nutella bread, she then says, " that will cost us $6.00 you don't have any cash on you at all????" , to which I said " no I don't", assuming she would let me still pay with my card. She then says " next door has an ATM, or anywhere else you can go get cash?"... I said never mind and asked her for her name and turned around and we waited for our bread for about 6 minutes. I will continue to shop at the Fairfield star bread which always has wonderful customer service, with smiling faces, AND the bread is 10 times better. I will never shop here again and will not recommend anyone to come here, which is a shame. Literally the worst customer service I've ever had. It's a common courtesy to accept your customers form of payment regardless of how much it costs you. May you should not work in customer service. read more

Señorita bread is like crack. If you get it served fresh and hot and sweet, it's a guarantee that you won't be able to eat just one. Prices are ridiculously cheap - $4 for 10 of these delicious rolls. Stumbled across this store by accident and I YELPED (get it? get it?) with excitement. What exactly is señorita bread? It's like a crescent roll that is heavily buttered and sugared on top. Some people pull it apart daintily and eat each one piecemeal, others shove it into their gaping maws like savages. Can't say I'm glad to see Papa John's gone because there is always some downside like folks losing their jobs (and in this case, unpaid wages), but that was one dreadful pizza..possibly the worst in town. Feel bad for the workers, but I'm sure they are better off somewhere else. So with one business gone, another one takes its place as is usually the case. Starbread doesn't need whole lot of introduction for anyone that is familiar with senorita bread. For the matter of fact, I don't know anyone who gets anything else besides senoritas at Starbread. The looks of the place are in line with the older sister location in Fairfield. The counter still reads "better ingredients" (LOL), and there is no decoration except if you consider hundreds of stacked white boxes a form of art. When a place looks like that and thrives, it's usually an indication that they are doing something right. And Starbread senoritas are yummy. The closest description would be a cross breed of a donut, hot dinner roll, and croissant. Just like at other location you can buy anything from a small bag with 5 pieces all the way to the huge box with 60 pieces. If you have kids or just feel generous and want to share, I recommend getting the $10/25 piece box. Sounds like a lot but the senoritas are small and literally melt in your mouth when fresh so the box will be gone before you know it. What I noticed is Vacaville Starbread senoritas were a tad sweeter than the ones I got from Fairfield but I'm not sure if that's by design or not. Maybe one of these days, since this location is also very close to my work, I will try something else besides senoritas. But since they do them so well, every time I step in I always get the same...$10 box. read more

Bought a 20 piece box of senorita bread hoping it would be as tasty and gooey as it should be, but I was wrong. The bread tasted dry and lack of flavor. I can tell the kind of dough that was used to make the bread was different from the last time I ate it. I used to work here and don't remember the bread tasting so dry. Senorita bread!!!! Chain bakery from Sacramento down to the South San Francisco. I hope they open more locations, especially in North Bay!! They're supposed to be the same but I feel like this location's senorita bread isn't that tasty, just greasy. It probably won't stop me from buying it since it's convenient for me when I get gas. But it's fast and great to bring to a party, work, etc. read more

As for me, if we talk about bread, their Señorita bread is the best. Me and my family especially my 2 daughters can't get enough of this treat. But not just that, they have a lot of choices. You should try their Empanadas. So heavy for your tummy! I didn't gave them a 5 because just like the other review, they are lacking of the costumer service environment. I just hope their management would offer costumer service training for their employees so that they'll learn that costumer service is very vital in ones company. About the establishment, I have no problem with that, it is clean and nice. I just hope they'll add another employee because sometimes there's only one so it takes some time to get your order. Let's go back to their bread, probably the best one. Nothing compares to the Señorita bread! I am so thankful that they open one here in Vacaville, no need for me to drive to Fairfield to buy their bread. read more

The sweet, warm smell of the bread in the store is so welcoming. The señorita bread is a MUST buy. The prices are generous. But they do have a minimum fee of $10 in order to pay with card. So just be prepared with cash if you plan on buying a small amount! read more

Tried to come in and buy some starbread and was told they do not accept VISA here. Then the female employee had a bald headed older man come to tell me they do not accept VISA. after asking for a name of the bald headed employee sitting behind the counter who told me they do not accept VISA I am told by the female employee he does not work here. Very shady and all I wanted was some starbread. Top it off the bald headed employee came outside after I already got into my car to confront me. Ever since I moved to VV, a friend of mine told me to try this place. Not knowing there's more than one, I decided to try this out. At first, I thought this place was so bomb! A couple visits more, and I noticed the bread was baked differently. It's a little more crunchier (overcooked) than spongy. Like the others have said, it's inconsistent. I decided to try the bakery in FF, and yassssss; you can tell the difference! FF is consistent and I must say the customer service is way better. There's more selection on food there read more

Be warned....this Vacaville store is recently under new management that is run by a rude manager that lacks customer service skills. I'm all about supporting local small businesses, but I will not support those that are run by disrespectful people. Open everyday at 6 am. I came early on a Wednesday morning to bring some treats in to work. Luckily there was no one else there so I didn't have to wait in line. The last time I tried to order senioritas was on a weekend, and there were at least 5 customers in line with the wait really long. There was one girl working and she appeared behind the counter a few seconds after I walked in. I don't think I've ever seen more than one employee working at a time at any Starbread... I ordered the senioritas and they were just as tasty as I remembered. If you've never had senioritas, they are finger-sized breads with a buttery, sugary coating at the bottom and taste amazing hot out of the oven. I also tried their mini cupcakes, which were ok. The chocolate & red velvet cakes were a little dry. I probably wouldn't get them again and just stick to the senioritas. read more

I will never be the same now that this place has moved in around the corner from my house. Seniorita bread is one of my favorite guilty pleasures and when I saw the sign pop up for it where the old Papa John's was I almost crashed my car in all the excitement. (Ok, not really, but I squealed like a little girl and immediately stopped to buy a box of 30 to share with the people at work.) Anyhoo, the seniorita bread is just nothing less than perfection. The plain flavor is mildly sweet so I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors mentioned in the other reviews. It comes highly recommended and the best part is that it is super cheap. I think Star Bread in Vacaville deserves 10 Stars for their amazing Señorita bread!!!!! I'm very impressed by the softness and the taste of señorita bread its so unique and different. I was first introduced to the bread from some coworkers that I worked with at the Solano Mall before I had moved. I wish there was a Star Bread Bakery closer to where I live in Vacaville. I come here every so often to bring some to my family & friends. Star Bread Bakery is my favorite Bakery in town, it's very yummy they remind me of a sweet glazed doughnut, but yet better. It's even better to have Señorita bread with coffee or tea!!!!! read more

This has been my second time at THIS location; I've been to the Vallejo location a few times, too. As always, Señorita bread NEVER disappoints. For $6, you can't beat getting 15 of these warm, delicious pastries. When I came this Tuesday (around 11 am), they only had a few other things out. I typically like to buy Señorita bread and then grab a few extra goodies as I check out, so I was a little disappointed in the selection the hour I went. Overall, it's an amazing bakery, the bread is to die for, and the staff is always pleasant and courteous! It's a must-try for anyone! read more
