They had me at Caramel…read more I've probably been to this shop at least five times since they opened. When they first opened and I saw the name,I knew I had to check them out and as soon as I walked in and saw their goods-I was hooked. This shop is located in the Nut Tree shopping center, kind of by the Merry-Go-Round. So much parking available-though the lot does get busy on weekends as anyone who goes to Nut Tree knows. So this shop is a locally owned business-they only have one location and supporting them is truly the definition of supporting local small business. They make homemade candy. It's chocolate and caramel heaven. They have so much good stuff-chocolate pretzels,chocolate-dipped red vines, chocolate peanut butter cups, caramel apples,chocolate-covered caramel-dipped marshmallows, white chocolate, dark chocolate-it's overwhelming. I make it a point to stop here almost every time I drive through Vacaville to pick up a little something-in fact I'm going to Giants game tonight,I'm most likely going to make a quick stop before the game. It's that good of a shop-they get priority status whenever passing through their town. I feel the prices are still pretty decent as well. They also have a pretty good rewards program one can sign up for in their shop. I like that you can see where they are making the candy in the back of the shop-feels a lot more authentic. They make gift bundles for like graduations and birthdays as well. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but their candy is delicious-so tasty, chocolate is so rich-you can definitely tell it was made with love and homemade recipes. In closing, I would recommend stopping by this shop if you find yourself at the Nut Tree shopping center and give their yummy candy a try-they are bound to have something you'd enjoy.

She made him feel awful and embarrassed. We ended going to See's instead and will probably never be back.

We sat in the middle of the floor at an open table with other families all around us, but in view of the ice-cream station for the person who was making sundaes. Our waitress was kind, very attentive to our refills and making sure we were satisfied with our menu selections. I tried the cheesesteak sandwich- it made to excellent perfection. Coming out on a Dutch Crunch roll, I expected the bread to be a bit hard, but to my surprise it was very nice and soft. Easy to bite and chew. The meat and melted cheese were very delicious. Onion rings on the side were cooked just right and crispy. No one in our party was disappointed. The ice-cream at the end was just enough to top off the experience. I'll say when visiting here, the prices are kind of high for just a night out, but well worth it. Paid a little over $150 for a family of four. I'd recommend you try this spot. It's got the Leatherby's feel but a whole different vibe.

Two weeks before the party, I called Fantasty Cakes to ask if they were available to bake a princess themed birthday cake for our little one. Thankfully, they were available and agreed to make the cake for us. Later on that same day, we stopped by to see and approve the model they had for the detailing of the cake. We agreed to bring fresh flowers in for the top of the cake and a gold crown cake topper we purchased. We dropped both items off the evening before our event. The princess birthday cake turned out nearly exactly how we wanted it. The style was elegant and they included a nice, sutle glittery sheen to the cake as well. The cake was moist, not too sweet (just how I like it), and was quite tasty. For the filling, we requested strawberries. Unfortunately, they included very little strawberries for the cake's filling. They did include a ton of fresh whipped cream more so than strawberries, which was disappointing for the amount of money we spent on the cake. Initially the customer service we experienced was pretty good. The staff seemed helpful and knowledgeable, even when we spoke on the phone. On the pick-up day, however, our multi-tiered cake was given to us in a donut box and not an actual cake box. That being said, the donut box was not closed around the cake, exposing it to the elements. My husband asked if they could place the cake in an actual cake box, but the worker said the donut box was all they had and handed it over to him. I'm very grateful for Fantasy Cakes being available to make my daughter's birthday cake on such a short notice.

I bought four kinds and none were finished by any of us in the family.

The fruit tart had a smooth, dense cream custard with a variety of fresh fruit on top. Portuguese egg custard tart had a sweet vanilla custard with caramelized top layer in a flaky puff pastry crust.
