Actual Starbread brick and mortar bakery in Hercules! Close to freeway for those commuters wanting to pick some up before work. Read some of the prior reviews of the señorita bread being a hit or miss, but every time I've picked up some they were the same warm, delicious, melt in your mouth, if you haven't tried one you will get addicted, señorita bread like Vallejo and San Pablo bakery. There is always a minimum 5 minute wait because you want it fresh and hot, also depending on the amount you are buying. Prices did go up a bit, but supporting a local business keeps them and other business up and running.

Hot & Service was quick Friendly staff & variety of breads like nutella & pineapple filling

Thus is the type of customer service provided- empty and non-existent.

Poor customer service. Rude boy at the counter more interested in looking at himself in the mirror and hoppingg on his phone than greeting customers with a smile and saying thank you. We paid 48 bucks for 60 pieces and you'd think they would appreciate the business. Moving on to give them one star now due to smug customer service. Sad.

Dry, dry, utterly dry - no butter/sugar top - not quality. 15 piece for $9.

Ventured here this morning. It is closer to my house than the usual location I patronage in San Pablo, I decided to give it a try. The store front is small and can easily be missed. It is a few doors down to the left of Domino's. The inside is clean, nicely displayed signage and well lit. When I was greeted about a minute or so later, the woman asked how many with a smile, I said 15. She emphasized, "five-zero," and when I replied, "one-five" her smiled dropped and disappeared. Since the reviews on this location are mixed, I did not want to spend much for something I would not be satisfied with. If I enjoyed, I could purchase more. When I opened the box, I immediately knew the senorita bread was not quality. The bread looks dry, lacking the buttery sugary glaze on top. When you bite into, even after warming it up, it is dry and doughy with very very little sweetness. I will not be returning to this location. I will add the extra time to my commute to travel to the San Pablo location - I know is superior, consistent and authentic.

Starbread has returned to Hercules. Recently opened up on the Home Depot plaza in the space where Sweet Cravings use to be. The senorita bread speaks for itself. IYKYK! Clean and friendly space to get that starbread fix. I spoke with the owner and she is nice and welcoming.

I AM SO HAPPY I DONT HAVE TO GO TO THE EAST BAY OR TO DALY CITY TO BUY THIS NOW I got there and just enjoyed the smell of the starbread for a few minutes while waiting for the cashier to arrive. Plenty of options for food from just the starbread to cake and pan de sal and halo halo! Hours of operation: 7a-8p every day

Can't believe Starbread opened a shop in Hercules. Of course, you have to try their senorita bread. This bread is so addictive. One piece is only a couple of bites to devour. You have to order a big box, 20 or more, to satisfy your craving for senorita bread. Our order comes out of the oven fresh and warm. This is one of the Filipino pastries that everyone enjoys. I'll be a regular patron once I crave senorita bread.

This family owned and operated bakery has been serving the community for over 60 years, carrying on baking traditions that date back more than a century. Their famous buttermilk coffee cake recipe has been passed down through generations and is still made the old-fashioned way today. From what I've learned, they're the last bakery in the Bay Area still making this incredible family recipe. The baked goods are amazing, but what makes this place truly special is the family behind it. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their customers. You can feel the history, passion, and pride the moment you walk through the door. In a world of chain coffee shops and cookie cutter bakeries, this place is something rare. The history alone is worth a visit, but meeting the wonderful family who keeps this tradition alive is the cherry on top. A local treasure that deserves all the love and support it can get! Ps- I got the iced coconut chai, a FAMOUS buttermilk coffee cake and the hot chick panini. I also got a dozen assorted pastries/donuts for my staff to try. Incredible is an understatement. You're welcome in advance!!!

Anyway, I've lived in Pinole for many years now. Unfortunately with my schedule, it is very difficult for me to make it to Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe. The small handful of times I've visited I have always felt welcomed and enjoyed delicious coffee and pastries, and sometimes a cookie or two. I thank Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe for being a wonderful establishment. I just hope there is adequate room for my Service Horse to sit down next to me on the floor the next time I go. Don't worry Mike and Terry, I'll have my paperwork avaliable for you to review. If things become mob like or hostile feeling no worries either, I'll be wearing my big boy pants that day.

The remodel and constant upgrades that have been made show that the owner reinvests heavily in the customers experience and that alone deserves a 5 star review. I reached out to Eric to cater mini mochi donuts for my wedding in March and his customer service was superb. He was so personable and friendly that I just wanted to order just because of that! I ended up ordering 5 dozen minis and everyone at my wedding LOVED them. So much that I didn't even get to have any myself during reception. What stands out the most about Mochata's donuts is that the flavor is actually IN the donut itself. Not just the icing that we're all used to. And the texture? Exactly the way a mochi should taste. Flavors? ON POINT!! The toppings are very generous, especially the Cookies N Cream and Mint Oreo. My absolute favorites are Coconut Pandan, Ube and Strawberries N Cream and my husband always goes for the Mint Oreo. I haven't tried all the flavors yet but I have no doubt that they all taste delicious. I also got myself a Thai Horchata drink. I never thought about combining the two flavors together and it was super good! Now I feel like I need to try every flavor of that as well. The ordering form was easy to understand and fill out, along with payment options. They delivered all the way out to San Leandro for a small fee. The donuts were good! The right amount of chewiness that I like in my mochi! The donuts have flavor infused into the dough as well as the glaze-- unlike other places where the glaze is the only part with flavor. I ordered strawberry, Thai tea and Ube. My kids loved them and so did the adults. I do wish the Thai tea and Ube tasted a little bit more like the flavor, but they were still yummy! Next time I'll have to try the horchata to go with it!
