It was my stepmom's bday and she had never had a pedicure so I was excited to take her. We walked in and after a minute or two, a woman came out of the back and rudely asked us what we wanted. I told her I called about two pedicures and she didn't say anything. She said something in her native language to someone in the back and then a guy came out and walked over to the pedi chairs. I asked him which two we should sit in - no response. He turned the water on in two of the tubs so we assumed that's where we should sit. The man sat in front of my stepmom and the woman sat in front of me. They just started going in on our feet without any discussion on what we were doing. I told them we wanted to get gel pedis and I asked for a menu. The lady filed my toenails and they were severely crooked. I pointed this out 3x and she only continued to file and make them worse. So I politely asked for the file to fix them. At this point, she was shaving them down so much that I didn't have much nail growth to even fix the crookedness. She was so offended that I asked for the file. I am extremely non-confrontational - it makes me so uncomfortable - so asking for the file wasn't easy but I reminded myself of all the bad pedicures I have walked out with in the past because I didn't speak up. As for the guy, he was heavily filing my stepmom's toes and she repeatedly asked him to trim them down first instead. He ignored her completely and she looked at me like "is this normal?" The female tech said something to him in their native language and he ignored her, too. It truly seemed like he didn't speak English at all and didn't really care about the customer's request. Then the female told us that she would trim my stepmom's nails herself at the end of the service. What???? Being that it was my stepmom's birthday, I chose the most expensive package ($75) plus an extra $15 pp for gel. So that's a total of $180 plus tip that I was willing to spend. A woman walked in maybe 5 minutes into our services and asked for a full set mani and a pedi. The guy magically spoke English just fine, enough to tell her yes and to have a seat at a nail table and he would be right with her. I'm sorry? We just sat down for $90 pedicures! You could immediately tell that he was working faster than before and was going to rush my stepmom's service. I wasn't having it. I told the female tech that we actually were only going to do the base pedi package, which was still $55 pp plus tip. Oh boy...she was PISSED. Started huffing and puffing and telling me she already started the service. I told her yes, but we JUST started and were only at the scrub stage (which smells like Lysol btw) and hadn't yet had any of the extras (mud mask, etc) that come with the highest price package. She told me she was using some special organic scrub that apparently doesn't come with the base package. I told her I would be happy to pay extra for the "organic" scrub, which honestly sounded like a bunch of boloney. She kept pushing and telling me she was already giving me the $75 service. A few very awkward moments passed where she was increasingly rough with me and my feet. She said, "ok so we are doing the $75 package" and I looked at her and said "no, we are only doing the base service." She started throwing things in her cart and speaking very angrily in her language to her co-worker. It was the most awkward, uncomfortable service that I have ever paid for in my life, not to mention this was all happening on my stepmom's bday during her very first pedicure ever. They wrapped up our pedis very quickly and walked away. All I could do was apologize to my stepmom and explain that this was far from normal. We walked up to the counter to pay and not a word was said. I paid using the pay station (TIP INCLUDED) and said "thank you" to her. She literally waved her hand at me as if to dismissively say "go away" and she turned and walked away. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE A DIME!!!

Never have I had someone who so genuinely cares and loves what she does. She only takes men, and I love my self-care time with her. She also has charisma plus and always has fun conversations. She talked throughout the entire session and the massage felt rushed and inconsistent; it was not a relaxing experience. Later I found out that she was actually NOT a licensed massage therapist, she was an "apprentice" of Eric's "program." I was not informed I was seeing an "apprentice" ... After my visit, I decided to learn more about Na'masaje and its owner, Eric Deegear. I was completely dumbfounded when I looked up Eric's massage therapy license on the Idaho Board of Occupational Licenses', under massage discipline, I saw Eric's name multiple times. He has broken numerous laws, and he has committed MULTIPLE accounts of ILLICIT INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT with his clients and employees!!! He's even admitted this! Eric plead guilty to breaking multiple Idaho Codes and Laws and he CANNOT LEGALLY OWN A MASSAGE BUSINESS in Boise, Idaho. His License has been REVOKED, including any potential renewal or reinstatement rights. PLEASE I encourage you ALL to look into his Court Cases on the Idaho Board of Occupational Licenses', under massage discipline, before coming to Na'Masaje. Educate yourselves about who you are supporting by going to any of Na'Masaje's Locations... Be very weary of this unethical, immoral, fraudulent, and deceitful man...
