I had never been here before but after reading the reviews, I thought I would try it. My massage therapist was April and she did a great job. She made sure to ask me about the pressure a few times to make sure I was comfortable. She did an amazing job on my back and legs. Everything was very clean and professional. I'll start by saying, I've never left a bad review for a business as I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I do however try to leave good reviews when deserved. If I could leave a -5 Star on this business, I would. Here is what earned a 1 Star Review from both my Husband and I - 1 - Our massage was scheduled for on the hour/separate rooms. After being placed in our room we waited for quite a while. Myself maybe 10-12 minutes, my husband at least 15 minutes for our girls to arrive. I'm happy to report they ended at the right time leaving us with a 40 min massage, tops. Read on. 2 - Both of our experiences were poor by way of technique and overall outcome. Neither of us felt they targeted our needed areas with the focus of healing. We have had hundreds of massages of the past 20 years so we would consider ourselves somewhat expert. 3 - Both ladies left our rooms during the massage for various reasons leaving us to lay idly on our massage table for periods of time. My gal left 3 times to tend to the front desk (I'm not paying for that) and one time to have a heated argument outside our rooms with my husbands lady. Extremely unprofessional and awkward, and again not what I signed up to pay for. 4 - Both of us discussed, following our massages, the lack of modesty that was provided us. We were both left uncovered on the table while they left the rooms with doors ajar. 5 - My husband specifically found it unique that his gal had no clue where she was massaging and kept knocking his junk in the process. He didn't feel she was being intentionally inappropriate however felt her lack of awareness was highly unprofessional. 6 - My lady continued to talk incessantly through the massage, when she was in the room. 7 - I heard a poor man come back 3 times after being asked the first two times to come back later when he had a set appointment. He finally said cancel it when they asked he come back at 8pm....yes I heard all of this from my massage table while I was supposed to be getting a massage. :) 8 - The best part of all of this...is they required payment upfront which was approximately $170 for the 2 massages that were a total waste of time and left us not relaxed but laughing as we drove home at the horrific experience we had at Hawaii Massage. I booked an appointment for a couples massage for my girlfriend and I a few days ago. I had to email them to get a price quote and was told (in the email) that it was $60 per person for one hour. Fast forwards to today and we show up excited for our appointment. We were greeted at the door by a lady who spoke no English, asking for us to pay in cash. I'm not sure if this is common in Idaho, but I've never been asked to pay for a massage before receiving the actual massage- but that's besides the point. The final nail in the coffin was when she tried to get me to pay 20% more than what was quoted (for both people). I proceeded to show her the email from two days ago, and she was insistent on charging me more than what was quoted, saying "that's old, price different now". We were the only people in the business, and they chose to lose out on the $120 we planned on spending over an additional $20. I hope this serves as a good reminder that good business practice should be followed, especially when the mistake came internally on their end. We won't be coming back. read more

This is a clean company. The two providers are very good at providing deep pressure. They accept cash or card. Walk ins are welcome. The person I saw talked too much and due to the accent it was hard to understand thus relax. I had an hour massage and in that time the person walked out about six times and switched therapist's towards the end due to answering their phone the door and starting another appointment. When they did leave many times they left the door open and when they left the last time it was very unclear if the appointment was done early. They said they had another appointment but when I started to get up to get changed the other therapist came in to finish. The first person kept commenting on various scars I have and how tight my muscles are. Their prices have increased 20% which I did not know until payment. Came to Boise for work and needed a massage, this is the place I could get into last minute. Thought it would be good with a 4 star rating. Well...Don't let the name fool you, it has nothing to do with Hawaii! It's a Chinese massage place. The will ask for money up front and shake you down for a tip after. Massage was good, not great, but watch your time. The only covering will be a small towel over your privates which will often slip away with how close the massage gets. Very clean place, friendly staff, and great massage. They knew what tight areas in my back that needed to be worked on and did a great job. The weird part was completely uncovered on the back and had to request to be covered a little when working on my legs. read more

Mandarin speaking as well my only complaint is that the massage provider left the room twice during my session to answer her cell phone and interrupt my masssge. In doing so. We went in and scheduled an appointment for a couples massage a week ahead of time. When we showed up at our scheduled time, I was told that we didn't have an appointment and would have to wait 30 minutes. While waiting, I looked on the desk and there was our appointment written down for the time specified. They then acknowledged the appointment we made but said someone else came in ahead of us. (What's the point of making an appointment?) After a 45 minute wait we got in for the massage. When it was over we left a $20 bill in the room. We probably shouldn't have left a tip after the appointment mess. As we were leaving, the person came out and kept saying 2 people must leave 2 tips. We could have left 2 $10 dollar bills, I suppose, but just left one $20. She was adamant and rude to us in the parking lot about not leaving 2 tips.
