In my 30 years of publishing experience, which includes editing a 500,000-circ monthly for Petersen Publishing Company for 15 years, I haven't dealt with a company with better customer-service, or a quality final product, than Star Print Brokers. I recently ghost-wrote a massive, 400-page, 11 x 11 inch autobiography on a famous racer by the name of Malcolm Smith. Malcolm and I worked for two years on the project, and for most of those months, our "deal" with the Starkmans (who own and run the company) was nothing more than an email agreement. Nonetheless, they followed through on every detail, and never missed a beat, even when we could have been flakey and never come through with an actual manuscript for printing. www.themalcolmbook.com, btw. Our book was printed about six weeks ago, and is scheduled to arrive en masse at Malcolm's shop tomorrow, after arriving in the port of Los Angeles about 12 days ago. The Starkmans air-freighted us 30 copies for press reviews about three weeks ago, and the quality of both editions (a standard version and a Deluxe Edition, which has an embossed cloth cover and a glossy dust cover) are spectacular! The media guys we sent copies to are amazed, and we are set for a wonderfully powerful launch this fall. From details to customer service to communication to follow-through to excellent pricing and to follow-up after the deal was done, I can't recommend Star Print Brokers highly enough. If you'd like the straight skinny on these folks, please email me at the following address: mitch@motoretroillustrated.com. Bogus reviews without merit are a bummer, and these folks, more than just about any other company I've dealt with, aren't deserving of them. Mitch Boehm read more

I've printed two books with Star Print Brokers over a decade, one of them soon to go to its 4th printing. (The other not a hot seller.) The 1st printing was with a different printer who did a fine job but at substantially higher cost. Budget drove me to look for a new printer, leading to SPB, and have stayed with them for all the work since, with more to come. The quality is terrific. Everything they say happens, when they say. No surprises. No upsell, no disappointments, on time, on budget. Completely polite and friendly, and attentive to all details. Ed and Nancy take plenty of time to listen, they remain in strong communication, and get it right. They have helped with technical matters and advice. Each printing has come out perfectly. My books are loaded with color photos, and the image quality is vivid, bright, and sharp. Working with them has helped keep the joy in a big multiyear project. read more

"A Lighter Side of Africa" (a quite complex fully illustrated "Coffee Table" Art Book) is my first venture into publishing. From the outset, and throughout the process, Star Print Brokers have ~ simply put ~ been brilliant. At every stage Ed Starkman has been an enormous help and he has answered the large number of questions that I have thrown at him both succinctly and with great patience. At times I have sought his advice, and having taken his suggestions on board, I can only say that I have been delighted with the outcome. The final product is stunning and much of this is as a result of the truly superb service offered by this company. Without hesitation I thoroughly recommend Star Print Brokers. My recent book, High Altitude Paradise, was a lifetime project that took 34 years to complete. I reviewed and interviewed the market extensively to find a designer and printer to make my dream come true. My expectations were sky high. I was touched by an angel the day Nancy Starkman and Starprint Brokers came into my life. Nancy helped me every step of the way to make my vision a reality. Edward too, stood by my side throughout with the professional service that I had hoped for and the genuine support of a true friend. In a though market time for coffee table, art, photography books, my book sold out in 9 months. I owe so very much to Star Print. They are my guiding light and will be the first call I make for my second book. read more

I recently helped Malcolm Smith (the famous off-road motorcyclist and car/buggy racer) write his autobiography, a 400-page coffee-table book with 450 amazing images and 100,000 words of text. It was my first-ever book project after 30 years in the magazine business, and honestly, without Edward Starkman and Star Print Broker's help and advice, it would never have turned out as good as it did. From pricing to customer service to follow-through to binding to quality paper to shipping, everything was golden, and that is a rare thing today. I'm working on a second book for another famous racer, and I'll absolutely use Star Print Brokers for the printing and shipping. Amazingly good, and happy to tell everyone how good they are. read more

I've been doing business with Star Print Brokers for over 4 years now. I have had "Star" be my broker for thousands of books and thousands of calendars. Edward Starkman has been my go to guy during this time. From the beginning of our working relationship until the last product I had printed in May of 2015 Edward was there to answer any question I had. He usually answered emails within an hour or two and he had quotes within a day. Edward followed my jobs from start to finish, always updating me as the job progressed, and by finish, I mean I was updated until the job arrived at my door. Prices are fair, the quality is high and the service is extraordinary. As the reviewer I should add that I'm very picky, just ask Edward. read more

I've worked with Star Print Brokers since 2008, through 2 printings of the second edition of my book, Sweater 101, and I have found them wonderful to work with. I posted a stellar review months ago and it somehow has disappeared. Where did it go? Why is there only this one, negative, review here? There were some not-perfect books with both of the printings and they instantly took steps to correct the problem, no questions asked. My experience with them is that they have the highest integrity. I will go to them for my next reprint. I wouldn't consider doing anything else. Cheryl Brunette cherylbrunette.com p.s. I have used Star Print Brokers for both printings of my self published book and have been thoroughly pleased with their service, graphic design advice, and price. Not to mention, I find both Nancy and Edward Stark to be intelligent, polite, and congenial human beings. Doing good business with good people is important to me and I plan to work with Star Print Brokers again soon for my next book as well. As a complete novus, I was taken advantage of by a "self publish" company when the cosmos directed me to Star Print Brokers. Nancy and Ed helped me reformat my book, apply for new ISBN numbers and helped me get my book Mama Bear Baby Bear printed and published! They went above and beyond to help me. My little book is now in third print, I am a public speaker in the states and international. I am getting ready to published three more books and the only place I need to go to is Star Print Brokers! I recommend them to all my future author friends. read more

I've had Star Print Brokers publish two books for me. With American Astrophilately I brought them a hot mess - disorganized files, different formats, and a poor idea of what I wanted. Nancy and Ed whipped it into shape and made it worthy of a nomination for a national book award. Last year we brought Ark Builders to Nancy. We brought her in from Day One and we knew we were in great hands. We are very pleased with the result. Star Print under promises and over delivers. They were on time and on budget. read more
