Rating one star mostly because of my experience with Star Plastic three years ago when Dr. Ozolins did my tummy tuck, lipo to flanks, and muscle repair. Which was absolutely incredible and worth the money I spent Back in November 2023 I had surgery scheduled. TWENTY days before surgery they told me Dr. Ozolins was no longer with the practice and because I already paid money down for my surgery I had absolutely no choice but to allow Dr. Reisin to do my procedure or lose my money. I was so anxious about the entire thing and so upset that I never got an explanation why my surgeon was leaving. I took the chance with Dr. Reisin and I will say my surgery went well and I felt comfortable but I truly think having this surgery was a complete waste of my money and for how much I have spent and have referred so many people I feel sadden. They also tell me I can get money back on procedures for referrals but never once have I been offered when asked about it to Dolores in the past. My second surgery was lipo to my back, under boob lipo, and a revision to my hips because I ended up with dog ears from my tummy tuck. I'm now 6 months post op and my back is just as if not more saggy than before surgery. I'm so beyond upset with my results and had high hopes my back would look better. Dr. Reisin tried to reassure me a month out that my back would look better with time...does not look better at all. My hips are still not proportional like they should be. The only place I'm happy with results is under my boobs where it was liposuctioned. If I would have known all this I would have just paid the money for lipo under my boobs. Money down the drain in my eyes. I was never once told I needed a back lift and I believe because they wanted money for the lipo just so that after I will come back again for a back lift. I'm so incredibly sad and still uncomfortable in my skin everyday after losing so much weight and broken promises that I'd look better after surgery. Even more sad that I wasn't given much options after being told my surgeon was leaving the practice 20 days before my surgery. Shame. I spent $8,200 on my tummy tuck that was a drastic change and I was happy with. Lipo to my back alone was $6,000 that they quoted me and to flip me over and do under my boobs and revision to my hips was another $1,200. All that money with lack of a drastic change and barely even cutting me open is BS. This will be the last I come here. *Adding in* I workout and eat clean 80/20% high protein, high fiber diet. These are poor results 6 months post op my surgery. I'm beyond pissed with my results and I will be seeking Dr. Ozolins at Illuum to fix my issue. read more

I would say i was the only one and then in public I met 2 friends over the last 15 months that have been here as well and also have botched plastic surgery. Its truly sad. The amount of money spent to end up with results like this truly sucks. I had a tummy tuck, My scar is disgusting and i stilll have shooting pains after 15 months, my stomach is hard and lumpy and I actually went from wearing a two piece to a one piece if that tells you anything. Dr Ozolins talked me in to re doing my breasts, after reconstruction. She said they were not a good job and she could make them much more natural cleavage. I was just glad to have breasts, after a double mastectomy. She was very pushy and assured me that I would be thrilled with the results. Instead she made them wavy, very small and ten times worse. When I called, she would NEVER take my calls or return them. I tried to make an appointment to come in to see what could be done, she would not allow it. RUN, SHE DOESN'T CARE. I have been a patient at Star Plastic Surgery for a few years. It had always been a pleasant experience until recently. The front desk staff and Allyson are great. I recently had a very bad interaction with Natalie the office manager. I had just had a great hydro facial and was going to check out. Natalie interrupted Allyson and I without any hesitation and started talking to Allyson about scheduling issues. It was clear that Natalie didn't care that Allyson was trying to help me with check out. She was rude to staff and ignored me. Finally the front desk staff spoke up and said let's take care of patient then discuss this. Natalie continued with non professional comments. It was clear that the staff felt as uncomfortable as I did. I called Natalie that afternoon to voice my concerns. She continued to tell me about office problems. I am not sure how this person was put in a management role. She has no customer concern experience and if she treats staff like I witnessed they will lose them. There has been great turn over and I concerned it will get worse before it gets better. I lost my doctor from Star and now concerned I will lose a great person like Allyson for facials and maybe the very efficient and polite front desk staff. I hope either the manager is trained better or replaced otherwise I will need to change providers. I just had my surgery with Dr. Reisin on 7/28. I absolutely love my results so far. He was very sweet and caring about what I wanted and my concerns with my breast augmentation. I never felt rushed or pressured. My consultation was amazing and the woman was so nice. When I had my surgery, the girl who brought me back into the room made me feel so at ease and comfortable. The only thing negative I have to say, when I called to see if I could get some sort of refill on pain meds (everyone is different with their pain tolerance) I was told to start taking Tylenol. I'm sorry but Tylenol can't even get rid of migraines for me. I felt like they treated me like I was ridiculous for even asking. I understand they can become addictive, but not all of us are out here trying to get a fix. read more

Dr. Elan Reisin is by far the best surgeon I have ever been to. I have had 12 surgeries over the past 7 years, mostly with different surgeons. Dr Reisin and his team were top notch and his facility was absolutely beautiful. He fixed a massive Diastasis Recti which is a separation of the abdominal muscles from top to bottom, an umbilical hernia, removed tons of scar tissue from prior stomach surgeries, and liposuctioned my flanks / sides. I just saw myself without the wrap day after and I am totally flat. No more extended belly!! I love it. As a 50 year old professional martial arts multi school owner, it was imperative that I regain core strength that had been lost due to muscle separation. I can now get back to wrestling with kids, holding my grand baby, and heavy martial arts training. Dr Reisin is patient, kind, and thorough. His team were Welcoming, kind, and supportive. LIP FILLER GONE WRONG. $750 I wish I never spent. I've waited a little over a month now to post my review. I was waiting to get past my anger for this happening to me and now I'm just absolutely devastated with the way I look. They are swollen all the time for absolutely no reason. Bumps are visible 24/7. This isn't normal. I went in on 6/13/20 and had lip fillers performed by Dr. Reisin. Was told he could achieve my goals & felt confident that we could improve my asymmetry. Immediately after I got home, they looked great. Come day 2, the entire right side of my lip had NO filler and there was a huge and noticeable divot and volume decrease compared to my left side. See pictures. 6/23/20 - I thought okay, I will give it another week & it ended up just getting worse. Called back to get it corrected for an error he made and was told he would "do the best he could" but would need to pay another $300. First time around I paid $450 for 1 syringe since it was their "Spring Special." At that point, I thought fixing it was better than leaving it. I was wrong. Upon him examining what happened, he said "you must of had bleeding and it kind of looks like you have a little bit of a cleft-lip." I never had a cleft-lip and was NEVER diagnosed with that at birth...I think I would of noticed that. Half of a syringe was put in on my right side and overfilled it. My lip is now rock-solid, and I have ALL of these bumps from the filler that have fallen and it feels like rice is stuck underneath my lips. SEE PICS! They get inflamed while talking and are visible now. I now look like my right side droops. He also said if I ever come back in, that I am to see Christine - she's much better at this than he is...then why wasn't i directed to her in the first place?! I probably wouldn't even be having this issue. He also said I can come back and use the rest of my syringe within 6 months if I need the other side evened out. How do I know you are REUSING the same syringe that was mine, storing it properly, and not to mention THE RISK OF INFECTION?!?! That is malpractice. Negligence of your patient's safety. 6/29/20 - I go and get a second opinion and they were appalled that I 1. Had to pay again for his mistake and 2. That he let me leave the office like that and 3. They have absolutely no idea why I would have these blisters form that inflame throughout the day. They said they have never seen anything like it and it definitely isn't an allergic reaction of any sort. It was from improper technique and that the filler must've been superficially injected right at my skin and not beneath layers like it should. I bursted out into tears. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was never followed up with when I was told, did not receive aftercare instructions if there were any. And boy oh boy...there ARE certain things you should be doing to help these heal. 7/3 - I went back into the office to get "reevaluated" and he said my lips look "great" and he's sorry for the inconvenience I am experiencing. He does not honor refunds. He said I signed off on my waiver that "I can expect bumps." These aren't bumps, these are lumps...that hang down from my lips IN FRONT of my teeth. He then told me "well, I can give you a friend of mine as a reference to take your Juvaderm syringe to and inject the rest." I probably won't use his reference. So, I have called around and no other doctor will inject the rest of my syringe. 1 - it's too much of a liability for them and 2 - They can't possibly know that what I'd be having them inject me with is in fact Juvaderm. I'm thinking this is illegal after talking to 2 other doctor's about my experience. SO - I paid $300 and they knew I wouldn't be able to use this elsewhere. Total waste of money. Will never come back come back to Star. I am left deformed. Nice that they dissolve with time, but not nice on your wallet when you're going to get them dissolved. read more

Huge mistake was made in the operating room causing me to have a second surgery. I'm completely unhappy with the results. My breasts are still uneven. Dr. Reisin is one of the doctors who try to rush in and out of the room. Janice Norwood the office director is a liar, fake, and condescending. She initially lied to me about the mistake that was made. Absolutely loved my experience! I'm a mom of four children and after my last baby made the decision to have breast augmentation, which given my personal situation also required a lift. Dr. Reisin made me feel incredibly comfortable, and gave me different options to achieve the results I wanted. He explained each procedure thoroughly, so I had no doubts when I chose which plan I felt was best for me. Being nervous about going under anesthesia and having such a major surgery in general, I didn't know what to expect upon waking up from surgery. Every medical assistant, the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Reisin all went out of their way to comfort me and reassure me of my safety, and prep me for what to expect post surgery. Not only was I safe, but I had minimal swelling, very minimal pain, and I was able to still handle my daily routine with my kids, I was amazed! My post op appointments were easy, and I again was shocked that suture removal was painless! I truly couldn't be more thankful. It took a lot for me to make the decision to have this surgery, and not only did it turn out perfect, it restored something I didn't even realize I was missing. I have wanted a neck lift and jowls done for years. I decided to go to Star because of the reviews and location, and the 2 for 1 surgery ( joke) Its been a year, and $10,000 later. My right jowl is relaxing back, as well as the right, but not as bad. I have been expierencing pain of the mastoid area, was told it was because of the large stitches used behind my ears. I was told ( by the doctor) that he would do a revision and I would only be responsible for the anesthesia, which I was more than willing to do. The estimate I was given was for the room, anesthesia, and all items used. A little over $3,000, that's not happening. I'm happy that the large waddle is gone, but for what I ended up with, it defitenitly wasn't worth $10,000. After a year I still have numbness, both sides . My opinion, they jacked the price, so I would not be able to afford it. The staff was wonderful, all of them.....just wanted honesty, and for them to stand behind what the doctor told me. I would very strongly suggest looking into another plastic surgeon. I saw Dr Reisen and previous to my surgery, was very impressed. My breast implants went ok, but my tummy tuck is a completely different story. Aftercare was seriously lacking and once they have your money they want to be done with you. They advertise things like a free overnight stay. It's all garbage. I was not even awake yet and they had my significant other driving me home. I literally do not even remember leaving, and woke up well after getting to my bed. I was left nasty uneven scaring along my incision line due to suture popping (which he ignored after I questioned) and an absolutely terrible looking belly button scar. I attempted a revision in his office (that I paid for) and his bedside manner was disgusting. Sadly, my revision only worsened the issue. I have had two doctors tell me point blank that this was the most poorly performed tummy tuck they have ever seen. That's saying a lot considering both have seen many, including those done overseas for pennies on the dollar to what I paid. I had a breast augmentation done on May 25th done by Dr. Lofman. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. I wasn't sure if I could go through with it, but I did. I'm so thankful that I did. Dr. Lofman did exactly what I wanted. I wanted my breast to look natural, and didn't want to lose sensation in my breast.... He said he could do both...... YES HE DID!!!
