I came in with my parents seeking a good Internist to replace the many mediocre ones each of us had. Even after seeing the 5 star reviews of this doctor online and after talking to other friends who referred him, I never imagined he would be so good and so meticulous about everything. He spent a good 30+ minutes with us talking about all aspects of my fathers' (the patient) health. Even without any extensive previous medical records to go on, Dr. Grivej was able to help guide and give us a better understanding of my dad's medical problems. He knew a lot of the doctors my dad had been seeing and was very candid with us about the shortcomings of some of the specialists. He ordered a set of tests and let us know what to expect in following visits. After spending almost 2 weeks in the hospital with my Dad, my parents and I have never felt much more at ease and knowledgeable about the path to take than we have today. This review cannot thank you enough, doctor for your human kindness to all. Your team, from nurses to front office staff were also kind, meticulous, and caring like yourself. Our sincerest thanks, Chan family.

We were recommended to see Doctor Geiger!! We finally got a…read morereferral but sadly it was after my daughter got her back surgery that went terrible wrong . She re herniated it 2 days from coughing since she got pneumonia . Her neurologist wanted a second opinion on what to do next . We called Doctor Geigers office and was told she had to wait SIX MONTHS to be seen by the almighty doctor since he thinks it is unethical!! We thought knowing we had a great referral from another doctor I would call again and explain the situation. Keep in mind my Daughter is 24 And has been through a lot this last year! 5 foot surgery's ,tonsillectomy ,back surgery that ended up with her in the Er from pneumonia and almost died before they had to put her on a ventilator!! Then a two week stay and weeks of physical therapy! Sooo rough year!! And she rehernated it from coughing so hard . I talked to Deb the Doctors personal secretary. Explained what was going on at first she seemed frustrated because she gave my daughter the reason which I have never heard of! But she listened and seemed to understand more and asked for us to send paperwork which we did. The next day she called and chewed my daughter out for having me call on her behalf! She stated she shouldn't have been bothered by me calling her because she is TWENTY FOUR years old! And I had no business calling her. She then asked to put both of us on the phone so she only had to explain this once so we didn't call her back!!! Well DEB if you were my secretary you would be fired!! You upset my daughter and pissed me off! No You will not disrespect my daughter and myself!! Think before you talk ! You are rude, disrespectful and a cold hearted person!

I had outpatient surgery on July 9, 2024. I was very impressed with this facility. I arrived at…read morethe appointed time and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The nursing staff in pre-op made me feel very at ease. This might not be noticed by all but to be given quality gown that wasn't threadbare or with knotted ties and very comfortable socks was great. Each person I was going to come in contact with in the operating room came in to introduce themselves, explain what their job was and answer any questions was important. The post-op care was great, too. The fact that they phoned to see how I was doing afterwards and answer any questions showed their professionalism. I highly recommend this facility and staff.

The administrative staff is incompetent. By failing to provide the billing companies for the various entities involved my CURRENT insurance information - as opposed to what they had on file for me from years before - they have cost me time and trouble. I've just received the latest round of bills noting that I had no insurance coverage on the date of service, which is not true. Now I'm in for MORE PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS, in an attempt to straighten it out. Why bother asking for my insurance card and check-in if you're not going to actually do anything with it? AVOID this place - unless you want the kind of headaches I'm going through.

Dr Barish has been my doctor for over 10 years. He originally was filling in for my original…read moreprimary care doctor who was taking care of me for the majority of my life. Initially I was annoyed that I had to go over my medical history with somebody new however, it became one of the best things that ever happened to me. Dr Barish, took a different approach to my care. Rather than just giving me more medications to ease my symptoms, you wanted to dig it out what was causing that. The time I was getting blisters on my hands and wrists, I was also experiencing a lot of information anytime something would come in harsh contact with my skin. If I accidentally bit my lip, it would get swollen up like somebody punched me in the mouth, one time I was carrying a 10 lb carry-on piece of luggage over my shoulder and when I got to my hotel it looked like there was a softball underneath my right shoulder from the massive amount of swelling from the slight irritation. My previous doctors called it contact dermatitis, nobody could really figure out what the problem was. Dr Barish, after reviewing a tremendous amount of blood work and labs, he wanted to look at my microbiome within my gut. I didn't understand the correlation but he must have saw something that nobody else saw because after putting me on an elimination diet, all of my symptoms disappeared and they never came back even after introducing my normal foods back into my diet. I hated doing the elimination diet for the 6 weeks that I was unable to eat the foods that I was used to eating, but his encouragement for me to remain vigilant and discipline through the process helped my gut reset and I have not had any of these symptoms come back in the last seven or eight years. Ever since then I followed Dr Barish, over to Henry Ford, and now on to his own practice. I hope that he is my doctor for the rest of my life because I believe that with his guidance I will live a healthier more vibrant lifestyle than I would under the guidance of others. This guy is really special, he has a true gift, and I believe it's because he genuinely cares.
