Purple Tiger Rose

I have been to a lot of different nurseries, and this one is one of the best. That includes other star nurseries in Vegas and in Utah. This location has a larger lot so they have more plants and other gardening supplies. Every time we go there is someone there to greet us and help us if we have any questions about anything. Their prices are fair, and sometimes they have slamming deals. I can't wait to see some habaneros! (This plant was on sale). During the same trip we came out with other plants such as the roses and this beautiful butterfly Iris.

Always great customer service. Stopped by today to get some ideas to update my backyard and bring in a little more color just because we live in a desert doesn't mean our back space has to look at it.

Star Nursery is always packed! Especially on the weekends. They have a ginormous amount of plant and tree selection. The broad variety makes it a one stop shop with products such as soil, plant food, tools, pots, gloves, rocks, fruit trees, cactus, succulents, flowers, veggies, etc. They have red wagons and other carts to make it easy to load your plants into your car. This location feels giant, and they even have an info booth outside in which the employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. The website is also beneficial with blogs and info of how to take care of your new plants and when to plant. Here's some of the plants I've bought here that fit the desert landscape of hardiness and drought tolerant. - Star Jasmine staked (attracts hummingbirds) - Queen Victoria agave (beautiful succulent) - Tuscan blue rosemary (for cooking) - English Lavender (for decor, cocktails) - Cilantro (for my shaded herb garden) Whether or not they're still alive is a different story with the insane record heat of 100F for 100+ days in the summer HAHA but I beleaf in my plants!!! You grow girls!

Star Nursery is the best plant and landscape shop for all your garden needs. I'm always recommending this place as they have everything I need and the associates are very helpful and informative. They even have classes to sign up for and monthly deals. The plants here are moderately priced. There's so much to choose from and you can call ahead to check if they have a certain item. I was looking for Thai basil plants and they confirmed they were getting a shipment shortly in the herb vegetable section. We stopped by to replace our dead plants due to the summer heat. Plants: Tuscan Blue Rosemary, Queen Victoria Agave, English Lavender, herb plants like thyme and oregano, etc.

Came for some pots, stayed for the cats. Good customer service and selection of products.

There's so much to love about taking a trip to Star Nursery. First, I adore the red wagons. They're great for holding my purchases, whether they're plants, soil, fertilizer/plant food, or something else. The staff is usually helpful and can explain the differences between product choices, which is important for me, as I'm relatively new to gardening. My favorite though is the back. First, there's a shaded "oasis," where many of the plants are kept. The oasis is especially tranquil first thing in the morning. (They open at 6am, and I took these photo the other day, shortly after 7am.) The assortment of plants that will survive in the area is impressive, and I appreciate that they give a 30-day guarantee on their plants. I also appreciate that they have large rolls of plastic sheeting, which I can spread out in my trunk and keep the trunk from getting dirty, when I'm coming home with plants, soil, and other gardening products. Regardless of all my positive experiences here, I took away two stars because my negative experience was so negative that it forever mars my opinion. In 2020, I hired a contractor to redo my entire backyard. After giving him a $2,000 deposit to cover his costs, he went to Star Nursery to purchase the plants. A day or two later, I received a notice that Star Nursery put a lien on my house!!! This was even though I had already given the contactor the money to pay for the plants, and Star Nursery didn't even try to call me directly to request payment for the plants. I would have given them a credit card over the phone or gone there with a check that morning and deducted it from my final payment to the contractor. No, they just put a lien on my house. I replied to the notice, sending them a written request for a copy of the receipt. The contractor was also sent a copy of my letter to Star Nursery, and the contractor told them to ignore me. As a result, they refused to send it to me. Put differently, they were complicit with the vendor's shady business practices. While I still go in person to make purchases, I'll NEVER allow myself to be put in that position again, and I'll NEVER fully trust Star Nursery.

Pretty good selection of indoor plants

Wow this place is awesome. I was only looking for the fungus gnats pebbles but man I found a couple of plants that even though I have one of the ruby rubber tree ... wow they have a brighter darker ruby than mine. I also took home another dieffenbachia and a plant called Caladium bicolor (a.k.a Heart of Jesus). They have a pretty good selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Wish I bought the monstera that they have but I already have one im trying to grow from a different purchase. Can't wait visit this place again and see what other indoor plants they have.

This is the closest Star Nursery and it stays busy! I stopped in here last weekend to get a few pots and soil when I found a few new to add to my collection. I'm not impressed with the uncleanliness of the restroom. My son needed to use it being that he had just got out of school and we made a stop prior to going home. Anyway it was filthy and didn't even have soap or tissue! I couldn't believe it! The only thing that made up for the restroom was the beautiful selection of ! Omgggggg they were immaculate The cacti I purchased were priced at $2.99 and $9.99 respectively. The service here is always great and with a smile. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back soon

I stopped by Star Nursery earlier today to purchase several indoor and patio plants. It was my first time at this location, and it will be my first choice for home gardening projects moving forward. Here are a few quick things that stood out: Great customer service: One of their team members took time to answer my questions and recommend plants that are well-suited for frequent travelers. Plants Galore: Surprise, surprise! There's plants at the nursery. Lol. Seriously though, most of the plants I saw were in great condition. There were signs and labels everywhere with planting and care instructions for the plants. The design of the store was fairly intuitive. Everything was well organized. There was also such a wide variety of plants that I ended up buying 3-4 plant varieties that I had never seen before. Great value: Everything was reasonably priced. The last plant I bought from a boutique plant store was a 2-3 ft tall African milk plant. I got 2 large plants and about 10 small cacti for the same price as that African milk plant here.

Winnie stuck in the pot I bought--He switched to Agave so he can be vegan like his daddy...

Made a quick pit stop here for a yellow pot for Winnie The Pooh. He needed hunny though he is vegan now and eats Agave but I guess that is besides the point. The Pot was $7 as its on sale at 50% off right now. :) The store was nice, a lot of variety. They also had this pond with fish and turtles which I feel bad for because they should be free, in nature where they belong but it was still nice to see the turtles who came right up to me and wanted me to feed them or pet them or maybe kidnap them, I am not sure. Service...No one asked us if we needed help and when it was time to pay, a line was free but the woman said, you can go over there and get in line, I was like, why would I do that? and she just pointed at another line so I went and paid and left. :/ Now Winnie has his Agave, though it says Hunny. He is happy, that is all that matters.

I got myself into gardening. It may be a bit harder initially but as you learn more and more is easy and fun. Star Nursery had a seminar about pruning. I always questioned myself if it was okay to trim trees anytime. So today I learned. Winter is the best time for certain trees. We learned about tools and fertilizers. When I get ready I'll go back to Star Nursery for the things I need for next season. The seminar was presented by the expert Paul Noe (I hope I got his name right). He was very knowledgeable and nice. I think Star Nursery should have been a bit more organized. Is this the first seminar? Maybe if you build a small stage where Mr. Paul can stand along the trees he was using to explain the pruning. A microphone headset, so he is able to use his hands. Sometimes it was hard to hear and definitely hard to see. Hopefully next time will be better. Do you know they do "house calls" and go check out your yard, test your soil and give you recommendations. I think is a great value of $90.00 for a one on one hour. I'm signing for it!! https://www.starnursery.com/dr-qs-house-calls

The small sorted rocks, limited number of 1-3inch rocks, the exact size ordered.

Which of the locations carry the best collection of roses and cacti? Thanks

I think the one on Eastern has a good amount of cacti. While I have bought a couple of roses from them they didn't have a wide collection, at that time. When you go, ask for assistance.

No other areas are there for customers. It's a lot of land, but it seems to all be under construction. Greenhouse #1: There's a mix of houseplants, cacti, and succulents. Most of the plants are like 85% healthy. Many have brown spot or were in the sun too long. If you are looking for a fully healthy plant - inspect before you buy. There are a number of cute handmade items, including: necklaces, pots, plant stakes, cute sayings on boards, macrame hangings, suncatchers, etc. Not a large array of plant accessories - but definitely a nice assortment. The pricing goes from reasonable to crazy exorbitant. Most of the reasonable plants are small or common - but beware of small & pricey plants. Just because a sign says a plant is rare - doesn't mean they should be charging $70 for it. One of the rare plants that was crazy high priced - I literally saw at Lowe's for under $10. Overall, I really love the plot of land, the greenhouse, and the assortment. But, I firmly believe in being fair to your clients. Times are hard and raising prices 15% is reasonable for a new, struggling business - but raising prices too high is a no-no in my book. I don't know, maybe they need to find better plants for lower prices from their wholesaler. Greenhouse #2: There's a lovely area with a koi pond. They have a variety of water plants too. - Overall impression: Could be the place every plant lover in town flocks to - if the prices are made to be way more reasonable. The variety of plants is awesome. But, I want more... more quality plants, more tiny plants that don't break the bank, and more cute plant accessories- stakes, plant hangers, etc. I will probably go back. And we did get a nice plant. But, the overdone prices put me off. Maybe there should be a section called "Made You Look" for regular people like me who can't afford the awesome plants that are too expensive! Just kidding. Also, I want to be clear that there are MANY reasonably priced plants.
