Botany is a local plant nursery located on the same plot of land that used to be Sun and Moon nursery. There are 2 greenhouse entrances and that are connected. No other areas are there for customers. It's a lot of land, but it seems to all be under construction. Greenhouse #1: There's a mix of houseplants, cacti, and succulents. Most of the plants are like 85% healthy. Many have brown spot or were in the sun too long. If you are looking for a fully healthy plant - inspect before you buy. There are a number of cute handmade items, including: necklaces, pots, plant stakes, cute sayings on boards, macrame hangings, suncatchers, etc. Not a large array of plant accessories - but definitely a nice assortment. The pricing goes from reasonable to crazy exorbitant. Most of the reasonable plants are small or common - but beware of small & pricey plants. Just because a sign says a plant is rare - doesn't mean they should be charging $70 for it. One of the rare plants that was crazy high priced - I literally saw at Lowe's for under $10. Overall, I really love the plot of land, the greenhouse, and the assortment. But, I firmly believe in being fair to your clients. Times are hard and raising prices 15% is reasonable for a new, struggling business - but raising prices too high is a no-no in my book. I don't know, maybe they need to find better plants for lower prices from their wholesaler. Greenhouse #2: There's a lovely area with a koi pond. They have a variety of water plants too. - Overall impression: Could be the place every plant lover in town flocks to - if the prices are made to be way more reasonable. The variety of plants is awesome. But, I want more... more quality plants, more tiny plants that don't break the bank, and more cute plant accessories- stakes, plant hangers, etc. I will probably go back. And we did get a nice plant. But, the overdone prices put me off. Maybe there should be a section called "Made You Look" for regular people like me who can't afford the awesome plants that are too expensive! Just kidding. Also, I want to be clear that there are MANY reasonably priced plants. read more

I found this place on Instagram and my first thought was "it probably looks good on insta but have low expectations when you go." When I actually WENT to Botany for one of their Half Moon Markets, I was blown away and how amazing it was. It's like a little plant oasis in the middle of the desert. We had a great time at Botany. My son loves plants and was soo excited to go to this specific nursery. It did not disappoint. There were so many plants to look at and admire until we picked the one to come home with us. We loved the koi pond and overall space. Being new to the Las Vegas, I have been visiting plant nurseries to find plants for my new house. I noticed that nurseries here in Vegas are limited compared to the DFW area. I found Botany which carries a variety of plants that are phenomenal and prices are fair. Staff is helpful, kind, and accommodating. Upon parking you are greeted with a few plants upfront and they even have a greenhouse to check out with a koi pond. Highly recommend! read more

The best in Vegas! The greenhouses have been many great businesses over time, I've even worked in them myself back when it was Moon-Sun for a short bit (and that was wonderful!), but this company is the best. They have a huge variety of plants, and the staff are lovely, kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. You could easily bring a book and a tea and get lost in here, they have a few places to sit and enjoy the koi pond and atmosphere. The overall vibe says "please come here" - and this is the odd part, it's located within a neighborhood. The greenhouses used to be visible from Boulder Highway until the houses around it were built, so don't be put off by this!!! It's just Vegas. Park alongside the road or within one of the spaces in the small lot, and walk into the main property to the two greenhouses, you'll find a slice of paradise. I am very bad at leaving here with only one plant, the only danger! Botany has worked hard to bring community to them as well. The shop manager Christina puts so much work into the outreach! It fills me with so much joy to come to a Half-Moon market (their annual monthly small business market) and see so many faces and people having a good time. It's hard to not buy something from every vendor, they're always great local small companies! It was so empty here for so long and they've managed to make some life happen in the desert in the best way. My mom and I drove across town to check this place out after we found it on Instagram. It was really nice to walk around both green houses and enjoy the atmosphere. They have a lot of really nice looking plants for all different budgets and interests. I left with a cute little neon pothos, but so many other plants were tempting to pass up! I definitely be back next time I'm in the market for an indoor plant. read more

I saw a few fake negative reviews on here, and these folks cant even show their faces cause they are liars. Botany is an amazing shop with an amazing owner.I have been buying plants here for 8 months,none have died. If a person said the plants from Botany died its cause either the person didnt take care of the plant( which the owner gives me amazing advice on each time), or the plant felt that person's negative energy and checked out. I really loved coming here when it was blue wave. We took home one or two plants everytime we came, which was at least once a week, because I'm a crazy plant lady. Prices were reasonable, and the plants I purchased are still thriving. Since becoming botany their prices are so high and the woman who runs the greenhouse and insta is so full of herself. The two plants I purchased since becoming botany are dead. And she bad mouthed the previous owners, which is completely unprofessional. I'm never coming here again and hope I can find the blue wave peeps again. I can't post pics of what I got because they're dead. read more

Bro I dont get it like... idk what happened to this place. I remember being greeted every time I came here but today I wasn't even sure where the employee was at until I noticed her shirt. And she still said NOTHING. Like if your trying to build your business and advertise how happy it is being there at least have some employees that are the welcoming face of the business. Cuz whenever I look at your page and see new plants it makes me want more plants but today was.. a lil unsettling.. and I walked out with no plant.. And what happened to all the dogs? This place is amazing! A hidden gem in the middle of the desert. Its not just a plant store. The time and effort put into the presentation (and maintenance) of the entire facility is very apparent. I went for pond plants (adapted to water) and the staff was amazing helpful. I was more overwhelmed with the beauty and overall atmosphere. If you never been, please go, take your family.
