Another year of getting our Christmas Tree at this location. It's been 5 years since we got our first tree here and always happy with our selection. We were greeted but a friendly guy when we got out to the Christmas Tree section. He let us look around at our own pace and offered to answer any questions. Lots of tree types and sizes to choose from. We went for an 8' Noble Fir which was about $100. Once we chose our tree he quickly carted it out to have some of the bottom of it cut and said to go ahead and pay. The cashier was also very friendly. Pricing here is so much better than at Christmas tree lots and I think they are cared for much better. There are nice Christmas displays in the store and festive holiday plants which would make good gifts as well. We paid for the tree, they helped us place it on our truck and off we went. I can't believe I'm writing a review about decorative rocks, but here we are. I stopped in thinking I'd grab a few small pieces to spruce up my garden nothing fancy. I do this a couple times a year Imagine my shock she said 56 dollars where I use to spend 12 dollars for the same amount for rock? Not even anything rare or special just the same old rock I've been getting here for years . Unbelievable I get that businesses need to make a profit, but this felt like a total scam. The girl said new owners bought it out and yah apparently there scamming us now There's a difference between creative pricing and flat-out gouging. No signage to explain why they're priced so high, no unique story or artisan touch just a rock i use to always get .Honestly, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Just more people taking advantage of inflation etc If you're looking to spend your money wisely, skip the overpriced gravel and shop somewhere that respects its customers. Very disappointing. I called around because I'll never get rock again here and I found a place called person rock it's a ten more minute drive but it's worth it to me I'd rather go there then feeling scam and it will be the same price there as it use to be here read more

Bought sod here. Was told by the lady at checkout that we can just place it on the ground as long as we keep it wet. It slowly weltered away being completely dead within two weeks although I followed her casual instructions. Further, bought a hot lips autumn sage plant that was infested with bugs, and an Austrian racer plant that died immediately also. Maybe I'm not a plant person? I don't know, but was very disappointed with the service and nothing survived. read more

OMG, I am absolutely obsessed with Star Nursery! I legit go here every few weeks because, let's be real, I have a plant problem. Their assortment of plants is HUGE, and I love that it's always a little bit different each time I visit. It's like a plant lover's dream come true! The prices are AMAZING. From the manager to people in the outdoor plant areas, they are courteous, helpful, and if they don't know your question, they find someone. I have ordered many trees and shrubs from this store location. CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE This place is the most bizarre & full of scams in all the West. Today I went because I received a flyer in the mail 2 days ago. This flyer gave me prices/coupons. I asked an employee inside about the discounts and he told me "not today, but tomorrow the flyer should have come out. Since it was out wrong, they will HONOR the price " , then the cashier played stupid the whole time and told me that it was actually the mailman's fault!!! AND LIED AND LIED saying that he gave the discount but he charged full price! The best team of green thumb experts! My husband and I have purchased several plants and trees from this location and we are always so happy with our experience every time we visit! I visited last Sunday with the intention to purchase a large cactus and planter for the front of our home. I was greeted by several helpful employees all whom referred me to James regarding my repotting questions. James was kind enough to repot the San Pedro Cactus for me right then and there! I've been to a handful of Star locations around town, and they're always clean, well stocked, and organized- this location was no exception. I was in the area when running errands and a friend let me know they were having a half-off weekend sale on pottery, so I went in to grab a few things. Per usual, I left with three new plant friends, pots for each, and a new bag of potting soil. Did I actually need any of these things? Nope. But I really like how they have their houseplants section inside, easy to see what is compatible with container gardening or sitting in a brightly lit room. Plus, the selection is affordable- think $5-15. I regularly go to Home Depot as we are renovating our house, and their plant prices are typically a few bucks more up to double the price. I love this nursery. They have a very wide selection of trees, shrubs, flowers, bushes, full grown or baby greens. They also have tools for gardening, soils, hay, tons of ceramic pots. There are carts at the front for your items. Also, towards the front of the store they have free plastic covering so your car does not get dirty. I needed help locating a hanging item and I found someone fairly quick. They have a lot of sales and marked down plants as well. Overall, it's just a nice place to walk around and enjoy all the green. It's a fairly large place, so bring your walking shoes lol. read more
