First time there, after reading the reviews I was curious. The customer service is beyond expectations. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the various foods and supplements that you just can't get at a big box retailer. Prices were very reasonable in this time of rampant inflation. Outdoor gardening in the desert is unreliable. In a disaster, I'll be eating fresh veggies while the neighbors are trying to decide what type of insects they like best. read more

John helped me and my wife out were having twins and want to try hydro gardening here in the desert, SNWD sprinkler limitations makes it hard to do a traditional one, so we recycle our water each week in a soilless mix and it's working, until we found out the hard way you need to nutrient the water in a system like ours hum? Guess that was a f-up on my part but thanks to a visit here John helped us out and we didn't loose any plants but probably stunted their growth a little. These guys are definitely some con artists. I am a grower myself. I went in here looking for certain types of light bulbs. The guy manning the counter kept lying to me in an effort to get me to buy the overpriced CRAP they were selling. I asked him if they had LED lights and he had the nerve to say LEDs were crap... really dude? Cause I'm using LEDs right now and I'd say they're the best bulbs I've ever used. This guy was only saying that about LED lights because he wanted me to buy this super duper OVERPRICED high pressure lights he was selling. They also sell liquid fertilizers like FoxForest and Advanced Nutrients products and even those are marked up like crazy. Just to show you how much of a JOKE this guy was, I went to Big Lots RIGHT DOWN THE STREET and THEY had full spectrum (daylight) LED bulbs and CFL bulbs... I am using them right now and they work WONDERFULLY... and they were only $30 for the LED lamps and $2 each for the CFLs.... but this hydro store was trying to sell me HID (high pressure) HPS grow lights for $150 - $2000 SMDH Plus, I would ask this guy if he had certain products and he said no... then I walk around the store a bit and the product WAS there... just way overpriced... so this guy isn't even familiar with what products he does or doesn't have in this little store My advice to EVERYONE reading this is to go to Amazon or Ebay for your liquid fertilizers ... and go to Star Nursery (further west on Blue Diamond) for any type of dry ferts cause these guys are rip-offs read more

Terrible service treats their employees and customers like shit. When I walked in they were using racial slurs and saying homophobic slurs. They leave their clear bottles in the sun so the food goes bad. Don't buy here. Type of place to say their the manager when you ask to speak to one. Try a different industry. I dropped in to ask about hydroponics, as I was totally clueless. The guy holding down the fort offered me a very large compendium of gardening that included a very informative section on hydroponics (but was very helpful in most every other area of gardening). The book cost about $20. This is a very large warehouse that should satisfy the needs of every contractor or landscaper. read more

I live in henderson almost in walking distance from a bossy guy hydro business on sunset and it's way worth the time to drive all the way here from Henderson. Some guy named Chris talked to me answering a load of questions about growing tomatoes-----/, no real tomatoes to eat and basil and peppers. I thought I'd go in and just compare prices but they are a better deal than amazon and Henderson guy who needs to smoke a joint and chill out like he's not in a prison yard lookin' for a rep. He'll either ignore you or answer questions with a take it or leave it attitude or rip you a new asshole if you ask about a gardening technique other than his like "Oh you'll fuck it up and kill it if you don't do it exactly my way" and they only know about one plant. If you ask about literal vegetables, deer in the headlights but makes you feel like the cops want you to come in to the station,,,,,,Chris is 180 degrees opposite and the friendly boss and it's a great learning experience, they have all the parts and materials for any way you want to go hydro and will tell you the details on how to use it and it's even a place to bring those pesky relatives and friends visiting Vegas expecting you to be free Uber driver. I have been in several times with a quick question but not looking to buy anything and they never had any problems answering the question without trying to get you to buy a bunch of shit you don't need. Absolutely horrible service. I walk in and the guy behind the desk is sitting there petting his dog. Does not even acknowledge me until I walk up to him and tell him what I need. I need a 600 watt HPS light bulb. I told him I want what ever is cheapest. He turns around and looks at the lights saying something to me with his back turned. I can not understand at all over the music let alone with him not even facing me. He finally turns around and says I have this one here which is the exact same light I already have. Plantmax 600 watt. He wants $80.00 for it. I tell him i've seen them online for $23. Instead of asking where or prove it or let me see what I can do he hands me the bulb and says buy it online and walks away. Great professionalism. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS LOCATION OR THEIR OTHER ONE. I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. Only reason to go to one of these stores is if you want to get little help from rude unprofessional over priced A-holes. Just google plantmax 600 watt hps and go to their shopping area. 1000bulbs.com has them for 22.50. I bought 2 of them and with regular shipping price came to $55.43. For almost a year now I have been dealing with this store (Primarily the one on Dean Martin). Throughout my endeavors the staff has been kind and helpful. I have enjoyed very fair pricing and vast supply inventory. Last night a digital ballast failed. Having thrown out the receipt, I was in a bit of a panic. When I called, the gentleman told me to bring it down. When I did he tested my burnt out unit, went behind the counter and handed me a different one. That's it. No hassle. I mean that is what I wanted, but how often as consumers do we actually get it? I love this store. If you are interested in the hydroponics world, this is the best place to go. I went to the South Valley View location to check it out. I had my rose bush stolen yesterday and my boyfriend wanted to go here and see what we needed so I could grow one indoors. The guys here were so helpful and friendly and not once did they try to upsell us at all. They gave us good advice and did not even suggest higher priced items, but suggested lights that were very reasonably priced. I'm very happy with their service and will go to them again. read more

I am part owner of a state certified cultivation facility, so I have plenty of experience with hydroponics stores and the way they are run. While prices can vary considerably from one store to another, Advanced Garden Hydroponics is the first one that has blatantly stolen from me. I went here to buy a simple graduated measuring cup. Upon checking out I was informed by the cashier that the total is $7. Overpriced for a simple plastic cup, and I thought it was strange that it came to exactly $7 and no change, but I handed over $7 cash. It appeared that the cashier did not intend to give me a receipt, so I stood there until he asked if I wanted one. Later that day I took a look at the receipt and saw that the total was actually $6.88. 12 cents is not much, but I was a bit irritated that they had not charged me what the actual price was. I called them up to voice my complaint, thinking that perhaps there was a misunderstanding. I was informed that they "do not give change". I assume this means that they round all transactions up to the next dollar. I was shocked that any legitimate business would that this is a legal practice and was honestly speechless when I heard the words come out of his mouth. Don't buy from these con artists... not only do they "not give change", but all their prices are about double of any of the other hydro stores I have visited. They don't even put their phone number, name, or any other contact information on receipts... that should tell you something. read more

I was in need of a new grow light and wanted to see them before I purchased. I researched online the local hydroponics sellers in my area and I chose Las Vegas Hydroponics because their website (www.aghydro.com) stated boldly that they had the largest and most complete selection of LED grow lights in the area, which was what I wanted. I drove over 40 minutes to get to their new location on Dean Martin Drive. I walk in and see grow lights on display hanging from the ceiling but no where did I see any LED grow lights. After not being asked if I needed any help or if they could help me find something (after 10 minutes being in the store), I walked up front and asked a sales associate for help locating the LED grow light section. The sales person showed me a green spectrum LED bulb for use when your plants are in their dark phase so you can still work in your grow area and not disrupt their cycle. After showing me this, he went got the other salesman from the back to help me with my question. He came out and told me that neither of their locations in Vegas carry LED grow lighting. To say the least, I was fuming at this point and all I could do was walk out. Before I did I told the second sales person that their website LED grow light claim is false advertising and they might want to get in touch with their network administrator to have this fixed. I left and headed back home. When I got home around 6:30pm I pulled up their website again. Their website is bleeding with LED lighting claims and testimonials regarding their huge stock of LED lighting in stores. This to me is ,WIN,WIN,WIN!the prices are a little high but they give you at least a 20% discount when you check out so it evens out. Take it from a pro... They got what you need, if you can't afford it then maybe hydro gardening isn't the hobby for you. I've been in this industry as a hobbyist for 14 years now. I remember when the store first opened and serve drinks as you walked in the door they have always taken great care of me and my friends as well they do have the lowest prices on supplies as medium and a few nutrients that are lower priced than anywhere else in Vegas if you haven't noticed all the other stores are copying Advanced Gardens and their discount program I have noticed a couple new faces at the Valley View store but still hands down the best store you could go to if you even want to keep it discreet you can park in the back by the roll up garage and walk in no other store has done the extra I personally did a test and bought 5 bags of soil from every store in Las Vegas and advanced Gardens got me out the door for $81 so I would say they are the cheapest I don't know what everybody's rants are about them being so expensive. Not true they are the cheapest in town and will work to accommodate your needs just don't walk in there asking them to set up a complete system for you with their knowledge is everybody grows differently research your stuff before you go anywhere asking which type of system or supplies you should buy get an idea of the direction you want to go. common sense read more
