My husband and I recently purchase 2 large Japanese Column trees from Moon Nursery on Tule Springs Rd. Before they were delivered, we went back several times to look at our trees to make sure they weren't too large for our yard. Our original salesman was no longer working there, and that's when we met Houghton, who just happened to be around. We explained our concerns about the size of the trees, giving him the measurements of our yard space. He confirmed that they would fit. I was still anxious but went with his expertise. Once we got home, Houghton called us and asked if we would like him to come over and check out the yard personally. (I had thought about asking him but felt foolish. He knew I still had doubts). He came to our home and confirmed that they would fit perfectly. The trees were just delivered and planted. (Side note... the trees delivered were the wrong ones. One call to Houghton (it was his day off), and within no time, we had the correct ones delivered.) I cannot say enough about Houghton. He wasn't even the salesman we purchased the trees from, but his customer service, professionalism and personal concern for our perfect experience, went above and beyond! I strongly recommend him to anyone who is interested in purchasing trees from Moon Nursery. read more

Okay! First and foremost, let's talk about the INCREDIBLE and SINCERE customer care that I experienced today with my boyfriend! Mercedes was absolutely brilliant and has wonderful intelligence and knowledge for the entire nursery. She took her time to explain exactly what was needed for our fig tree, Robert Plant, and I deeply appreciate the care! Not only did we get some nice premium soil, but she taught us how to properly repot him without possibly petrifying him. No matter what, it'll always be a shock but we went ahead and took her opinion for the extra plant support from the moon juice. I truly would only use it for recovery and intensive care but we are super stoked to see this baby grow! We repotted, and it's responding very well. Thank you Mercedes for your love and knowledge! read more

Take my advice and go someplace else. We spent $2500 on a tree, and followed the written care instructions to the letter. We went through more gallons of "Moon Juice" than I can count. We've been watering every three days. Three years later, the tree is struggling to stay alive, and hasn't grown any bigger. Recently, by coincidence, Moon Valley happened to "have an arborist in our area," and would we like a free evaluation of our tree and yard? Yes, we would. After the expert got done telling me that the tree needed 25 gallons of water a day...considerably more than the instruction sheet called for, and after I expressed my profound disappointment in the place, he told me all about how the people at the nursery are...and I'm quoting here..."just sales guys." Meaning that they didn't really know much about trees, and just wanted to complete a sale. Well, that doesn't exactly help the situation, does it? We relied on our "just a sales guy" to provide accurate information about caring for our new $2500 worth of tree. Seeing the tree in distress, I put four deep watering stakes in the ground, around the tree, an addition that was not even mentioned by Moon Valley. I was trying very hard to get this tree to grow well. It's not like we're negligent customers - far from it. We've been very diligent about following the required watering amounts, as described on the paperwork. Moon Valley is the expensive nursery in Vegas, compared to, you know, the other place. The Star Nursery place. Moon Valley presents themselves as the premier nursery, with a higher quality product, and a higher level of expertise. Don't you believe it. As proof, I have this visit from the expert guy, who, despite his effort to distance himself from the sales guys, was wearing a Moon Valley company shirt. His advice, which amounted to a confession of incompetence on the part of the company, was a real eye-opener. Oh - he also recommended cutting off all the branches that had died. Thanks, expert. Something else you need to know - they say "free" tree planting, and their trucks all have "You Buy It, We Plant It" on the sides. Well, the planting is free, but the transportation of your tree from the nursery to your house will cost extra. A lot. Surprise. No free delivery. "Tree Expert's" visit was meant to upsell us into more product. It had the opposite effect. We're not spending another dollar at Moon Valley. read more

Moon Nursery on Charleston~ Kevin has been incredible each time we came to shop and research and dream up our back yard landscaping. We came 4 times over 6 weeks or so to look at options, discuss the plant's needs and pick his brain. When it came time to purchase and determine the best approach, quantities, and final selection, Kevin was fun, respectful and compassionate. It was like a family member looking out for us and guiding us to the best choices while honoring our vision. We walked away feeling like we were going to have our dream backyard with his help. Brad the GM helped us, too, to make sure everything worked with our budget. I cannot thank them both enough! Go see them!! read more

As always, Moon Valley did an amazing job. Thank you, Kris and Sal. I'll be back next year!

I had such a great experience here and a big part of that was thanks to Aaron! From the moment I walked in, he was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed for my yard, but Aaron took the time to ask questions, explain which plants would work best for my space and sunlight, and even gave me tips on how to keep everything healthy once I got home. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about both the plants and the customers. He went above and beyond to make sure I left with everything I needed and felt confident about taking care of it. It's rare these days to find someone so passionate and friendly in customer service. read more

I am extremely happy that I selected Moon Valley Nursery on 5311 Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas to help with my landscaping needs. I hesitated to go to Moon because people were telling me they were expensive. When I visited the other nurseries, I would have to select the plants that I want and get someone to plant them for me. Are you kidding me!!! I'm from California. I know nothing about selecting plants and planting in Las Vegas. Moon Valley Nurseries stated that If I purchase from them they would plant them. In addition, no one gave me the customer service attention that I so desperately needed. Antonio Watts, Landscape Designer, took the time to show me around the nursery and suggested the plants that were good for my home. And as advertised, Moon Nursery planted a tree and the plants. What makes Moon Valley Nurseries on Charleston different is their customer service and their selection of beautiful plants and trees. Thank you Moon Valley Nurseries and Antonio Watts.
