There was a group of about 8 people here celebrating a birthday and a couple next to us also on a date night. Jason, Lucas & Tiffany were great at demonstrating, explaining and answering the bazillion questions we had - ha! Succulents just don't survive in our home so it was nice to experience this! We learned so much! The price was reasonable for a date night and drinks and snacks are also available to purchase. All supplies are provided for each participant to paint one small terra cotta pot, 2-3 mini succulents and soil This family owned business is beautifully decorated with mid century modern vibes and will give you TONS of ideas on how to include plants in your home I highly recommend this business and look forward to returning again soon!

Local nurseries either did not have any or wanted exorbitant amounts of money to purchase them. We only happened across this place because a helpful nursery employee that did not carry totem cactus said we should try Cactus Joe's. The folks that work there are genuinely friendly and want to help you find whatever you need. The selection and varieties of cacti was second to none. In addition, they offer all sorts of metal work, sculptures and other lawn and garden ornaments to enhance your outdoor living areas. There is so much to look at and consider, so make sure you budget enough time to spend at Joe's. We ended up with 4 totem cactus and a fire barrel cactus. We were offered a tremendous discount and compared to other nurseries saved over 50%. To say that this place provides service, selection variety and value would be an understatement. It excels in all three!

Botany is a local plant nursery located on the same plot of land that used to be Sun and Moon…read morenursery. There are 2 greenhouse entrances and that are connected. No other areas are there for customers. It's a lot of land, but it seems to all be under construction. Greenhouse #1: There's a mix of houseplants, cacti, and succulents. Most of the plants are like 85% healthy. Many have brown spot or were in the sun too long. If you are looking for a fully healthy plant - inspect before you buy. There are a number of cute handmade items, including: necklaces, pots, plant stakes, cute sayings on boards, macrame hangings, suncatchers, etc. Not a large array of plant accessories - but definitely a nice assortment. The pricing goes from reasonable to crazy exorbitant. Most of the reasonable plants are small or common - but beware of small & pricey plants. Just because a sign says a plant is rare - doesn't mean they should be charging $70 for it. One of the rare plants that was crazy high priced - I literally saw at Lowe's for under $10. Overall, I really love the plot of land, the greenhouse, and the assortment. But, I firmly believe in being fair to your clients. Times are hard and raising prices 15% is reasonable for a new, struggling business - but raising prices too high is a no-no in my book. I don't know, maybe they need to find better plants for lower prices from their wholesaler. Greenhouse #2: There's a lovely area with a koi pond. They have a variety of water plants too. - Overall impression: Could be the place every plant lover in town flocks to - if the prices are made to be way more reasonable. The variety of plants is awesome. But, I want more... more quality plants, more tiny plants that don't break the bank, and more cute plant accessories- stakes, plant hangers, etc. I will probably go back. And we did get a nice plant. But, the overdone prices put me off. Maybe there should be a section called "Made You Look" for regular people like me who can't afford the awesome plants that are too expensive! Just kidding. Also, I want to be clear that there are MANY reasonably priced plants.

When you put it into maps, it can be a little confusing -- you actually enter through a street/alley behind the store. There's no real storefront, but you'll know you're in the right place because they have plants outside. This review is coming from someone who lived in Los Angeles and knows plant prices there. For me, this place is pretty overpriced. I bought a very small bonsai tree for $15, which might be worth it if you don't have access to LA plant shops, but it felt expensive for the size. They mostly carry bonsai trees and bamboo (the lucky bamboo sticks), with a limited selection of regular houseplants and trees. They do have some snake plants, zz plant, peace lily, pepperomia and some alocasias, I picked up an Alocasia Frydek for $12.50, but only because it was half off -- they were originally trying to sell it for $24, which I thought was ridiculous. I wouldn't have bought it at full price. The people are friendly, and the man there is very knowledgeable. They also sell a lot of decorative items for bonsai and the home -- spiritual or symbolic decor -- which was interesting, but again, a bit overpriced. Would I go back? Probably not, unless I was specifically looking for a bonsai or bamboo and wasn't planning a trip to LA. For regular houseplants, you can find the same things elsewhere for cheaper, even at places like Home Depot or Lowe's.

We were greeted but a friendly guy when we got out to the Christmas Tree section. He let us look around at our own pace and offered to answer any questions. Once we chose our tree he quickly carted it out to have some of the bottom of it cut and said to go ahead and pay. The cashier was also very friendly. Pricing here is so much better than at Christmas tree lots and I think they are cared for much better. There are nice Christmas displays in the store and festive holiday plants which would make good gifts as well. We paid for the tree, they helped us place it on our truck and off we went. It's been a couple weeks and our tree is doing nicely.
