Desert sage plant

This garden center offers high quality trees and plants. They often have sales and discounts. I bought several beautiful trees. A Purple Chaste Tree, and a Muskogee Lavender Crepe Myrtle. Both are fast growing, Bloom prolifically throughout summer and provide a magnificent display. The customer service could be better. They are short staffed. But the representatives they have are generally helpful and friendly.

My go-to spot for buying plants in town. Prices are always great when comparing to Lowe's or Home Depot, selection is good, and I enjoy the layout of the store. Service is ok (I never really get asked if I need help while shopping or don't receive much interaction with the staff, but it's alright). LOVE the turtles and Koi pond as it further adds to the relaxing ambience of the place.

Amazing selections for a great price! Brought home a beautiful rubber plant. Lovely addition for my home.

First time here and was very pleased with their prices! They have an amazing variety and selection of all types of plants and trees. Inside the building they have all your sprinkler and landscaping needs, including a contractors desk. The only down fall is that they don't deliver or plant anything. According to the employee, this is how they are able to keep their prices affordable. That's a slight downfall as it's very tricky to plant things in Las Vegas soil, you can't just dig a hole and plant things here... you need a professional to prep the soil before hand, and that has the knowledge of which plants you need depending on how much sun and shade you get in the area you want to plant. It's very scientific lol

My new plants! Japanese Boxwood.

Yay for Star Nursery! Reason for my visit...Where I live the HOA told all residents we had to remove our privacy mesh gate coverings as its a 'fire hazard' I was not happy and neither were any of my neighbors. So, now my extended balcony is wide open for the world to gaze upon. I am outside at least half my day and I don't like being exposed to whomever wants to see my space. Its an invasion of privacy in my opinion. I thought about many options and decided on some outdoor privacy plants that can enjoy sunshine from sunrise to about noon. I met with Charlie who graciously showed me so many outdoor plants that would work for me. So many to choose from! I wanted them all! He also helped me select the right size pots to put them in. We looked at so many options and decided on the Japanese Boxwood and extra tall pots. I purchased two of each. They are so full and fluffy, I just love them and cant wait to nurture them. They grow as tall as 6 ft! I am on a bit of a budget, so when I have more dollars I will be back to buy lots more! This is the first time I have ever purchased outdoor plants and I'm so excited. All together it was around 160.00 add 45.00 delivery fee, total 207.00 Thursday 6/17/21 delivery curbside! Super happy. Thank you so much Star! Located at West Tropicana just a bit West of Fort Apache. Highly Recommend. I will be back for sure!

Thanks to hubby and son for getting it done today!

In so many ways, Las Vegas has such a sense of community and I am always grateful to see examples of that.

Local nurseries either did not have any or wanted exorbitant amounts of money to purchase them. We only happened across this place because a helpful nursery employee that did not carry totem cactus said we should try Cactus Joe's. The folks that work there are genuinely friendly and want to help you find whatever you need. The selection and varieties of cacti was second to none. In addition, they offer all sorts of metal work, sculptures and other lawn and garden ornaments to enhance your outdoor living areas. There is so much to look at and consider, so make sure you budget enough time to spend at Joe's. We ended up with 4 totem cactus and a fire barrel cactus. We were offered a tremendous discount and compared to other nurseries saved over 50%. To say that this place provides service, selection variety and value would be an understatement. It excels in all three!

We were greeted but a friendly guy when we got out to the Christmas Tree section. He let us look around at our own pace and offered to answer any questions. Lots of tree types and sizes to choose from. We went for an 8' Noble Fir which was about $100. Once we chose our tree he quickly carted it out to have some of the bottom of it cut and said to go ahead and pay. The cashier was also very friendly. Pricing here is so much better than at Christmas tree lots and I think they are cared for much better. There are nice Christmas displays in the store and festive holiday plants which would make good gifts as well. We paid for the tree, they helped us place it on our truck and off we went. It's been a couple weeks and our tree is doing nicely.

When you put it into maps, it can be a little confusing -- you actually enter through a street/alley behind the store. There's no real storefront, but you'll know you're in the right place because they have plants outside. This review is coming from someone who lived in Los Angeles and knows plant prices there. For me, this place is pretty overpriced. I bought a very small bonsai tree for $15, which might be worth it if you don't have access to LA plant shops, but it felt expensive for the size. They mostly carry bonsai trees and bamboo (the lucky bamboo sticks), with a limited selection of regular houseplants and trees. They do have some snake plants, zz plant, peace lily, pepperomia and some alocasias, I picked up an Alocasia Frydek for $12.50, but only because it was half off -- they were originally trying to sell it for $24, which I thought was ridiculous. I wouldn't have bought it at full price. The people are friendly, and the man there is very knowledgeable. They also sell a lot of decorative items for bonsai and the home -- spiritual or symbolic decor -- which was interesting, but again, a bit overpriced. Would I go back? Probably not, unless I was specifically looking for a bonsai or bamboo and wasn't planning a trip to LA. For regular houseplants, you can find the same things elsewhere for cheaper, even at places like Home Depot or Lowe's.

Reviews are changing because the experiences change, hence, my review updates…read more Our water heater broke on tuesday night. Hubby made a bunch of calls, but received inaccurate information from Rheem (spoke to three different CSR's- two were good, one was passing along the wrong information!). Apparently, the six year warranty only exists if you use the original installer- that was the final thing we learned, from the 3rd Rheem CSR. We purchased our home in 2021, but the water heater was purchased by the previous owner in 2020. Warranties on Rheem water heaters do not transfer over. So, this is a Consumer Buyer Beware warning, to you all. It is so important to know the Warranty on everything that you buy nowadays due to Inflation and Tarriffs (recently ruled "illegal" by a Federal Judge). Hubby and our Plumber unhooked the broken unit to turn it into the Flamingo/Fort Apache one, however, it turned out to be the wrong location, Pro Desk; instead got referred to the one across from Springs Preserve, which closed at 5 pm (across town, not in the same neighborhood, BTW). Hubby calls that one, the following day, thursday, they say, "We do not deal with Residential, only Commercial." It is a good thing he called before actually just heading over there, only to waste more time. And finally, hubby called Rheem a third time. This was extremely frustrating. The difference in customer service is good information versus bad information. This is the purpose of reviews to outline the good, the bad, & the ugly. And it gives companies a chance to improve. So, we had to purchase a new one, but the Flamingo/Fort Apache one didn't have the one that we needed, in stock. So hubby and our Plumber came to this location, The Arroyo Market Square location- Rainbow/ 215. And this one had it in stock. $1483 for a new Rheem water heater. Thursday morning we had hot water again. But, man, what a run-around this was, for hubby and our Plumber. Our licensed contractor handyman is the best! Four separate reviews were written on this experience.
