Very friendly you should really try to make a appointment because sometimes they are busy. The lady that did my feet really try not to make it tickles. read more

I like the service they provide for pedicures reasonably prices also. The 3 sisters that work there are always friendly

I've been getting my nails done for 40+ years; in the Pacific Northwest and in San Antonio and in Phoenix. I dreaded having to start over when I moved to Milton recently, figured I would have to try a dozen places before finding one that could understand exactly what I wanted with length and shape. And BAM, Star Nails on Meridian in Edgewood aced it on the first try. Vanessa is awesome! read more

Very rude and I think the stylist is the owner. I have been twice to see if she had a bad day but she must have a lot of bad days. She couldn't be any more rude and disrespectful to myself and my friend. No more money for this shop. I can stay home and get treated poorly. read more

I've been going here for a while and never had any issues. Pretty upsetting that people leave 1 star. This place is reasonably priced and great service for beautiful nails. read more

Star Nails - These ladies never fail me. My daughter is now a regular too. - Nail Salons Near Me - Edgewood, Washington

See all

I walked into Star Salon for the first time yesterday, and was so pleased with the warm welcome by Sonia, and my nail service which was removal of gels from my nail and manicure. I will look no further as she was excellent, so I scheduled a full service for my next visit with her. The very best experience. Also the Salon was spacious, plenty of room to breathe, the set up was nice and not cluttered,so you're not ontop of other clients. Roomy. Thank you for the best service I had in a long time. read more

We went there last Friday for Mother's Day manicure/pedicure. We had a wonderful time. My gel manicure looks great as do my toes. Would definitely recommend. read more

Star Nails in Edgewood/ Milton has always been a friendly place and do a great job making me beautiful! They are on time and on point. The shop is clean and they take appointments & they a good job with walk-ins. They make dudes feel welcomed! So Yelp is now telling us how many words should be in a review. What an arrogant company they've become. I used to really enjoy Yelping and trusted the reviews were based on actual people doing the review. No it seems they are much more interested on the money. read more

I loooove this place! All the girls do such an amazing job I used to go to other salons, I always seemed to never go back to the same one twice. But this salon makes you feel so welcome! They have a lot of regulars so if you go there more than twice they're bound to know your name once you enter the door. Thank you vanessa for an amazing job on my nails today read more

I won't go anywhere else. I love it here. I have what they call "high standards" for my nails. They do great work here. They are very friendly and kind and helpful. IF you don't like it they will redo it to your standards. The pedicure is also great. The chair massage is awesome. Ive never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to get in a chair. read more

I didn't mind being asked to pay for the service ahead of time, but after I gave the money the woman helping me stared at me with a frown and said that most people pay the tip first, then continued to stare at me until I gave her a tip. I was in a hurry and didn't want her to do a bad job if I didn't. The atmosphere was very unfriendly. I always tip, but it is not something that should ever be demanded prior to doing the job. When finished, she pushed my hands under a UV light, nicking one nail. I didn't have time to have it fixed so left it. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more

So I've never done a review for beauty stuff cuz I usually go to restaurants but let's try this lol I went here to get my nails done for my junior prom because I was recommended this place by my friends at school. I will have to say the lady who was working her magic on me was like my mom lol. She was so nice and sweet (minus the scary part of my mom haha) and we had a lovely conversation about the randomist things. I actually asked if I could have my boutineer for my date to be set in their refrigerator while I was there and they were really nice to have gone out of their way to make sure they could help me. I got a manicure and pedicure, my toes painted (the lady did a really nice design on my big toe hahaha) and french tip and it only costed $40. I didn't know how much to tip her but I seemed pretty reasonable to give her 20% since I was on a budget. I will definitely do there when I go up to my friends prom this year so they'll see me again lol read more

Shortest pedicure ever and expensive. They only Ofer very basic pedicure. She scrubbed my heels for five seconds and massages my legs for 1-2 minutes. Not worth it at all. read more

Only went here a few times not once were they very friendly. Quality Of service was less than satisfying. I felt like they were in a hurry to get done. Massage was more like a pat than a rub and to top it off she cut my toe. Will not be returning ever. read more

I am happy with the job I got on my nails but I didnt care for their tactics on price. I got a fill and a manicure with black tips and white line. The fill is suppose to be 15 and she said the manicure 5. So, I paid with a 50 and she said "manicure, 25. I give you 20 back. So I don't understand why the price jumped an extra 5 and then didnt care for how brazen she was to ask for a five dollar tip, which is what I give to people who do my nails. I just think it is bad taste. I won't be back, I'm going to keep trying places. read more

After trying almost all the nail salons in Milton I have to say my mom and I are willing to drive the extra 15 minutes to go anywhere else. The people here do an okay job on your nails but heaven forbid that someone other than you pays for it. My mom paid to have my nails done here as a reward for going above and beyond with helping out. When they realized that my mom was paying they all but yelled at me for letting her pay. Everytime we have gone there the staff has been rude and inconsiderate. Don't waste your money here if you want to be treated kindly. read more

I recently moved to the south sound and have tried a couple of places here. My experience here was ok.. They did a great job with painting my toes and nails, but I felt they rushed a little and I had to go home and remove excess paint as well as smooth rough fingernail tips. My cuticles are a little dry as well.. not the best job, but the staff is friendly and the shop is very clean. So, I may try them one more time... Everyone has a bad day. read more

I love them! Best place around! I've been to a bunch of places all over Puyallup and this place is by far the best!!

I will not be returning to this nail salon again. They are very rude and charge you more than the original price is. Me and my friends went in to get our nails done and we all got a manicure. 2 of us were charged 25 and my other friend was charged 30 and she got the same thing we did. I dont understand how that makes any sense? I also think its absolutely disgusting that they dont clean there tools that they use on other people. I also will say, its very unprofessional to tell your customers that they need to tip you. I tip people that deserve to be tipped. If you are disrespectful to me, you dont get a tip. Its as simple as that. Dont TELL i need to tip you when you dont deserve it. read more

My entire pedicure lasted 12 minutes (including "massage"). It was super rushed even though nobody else was there. Polish job was sub par. Worst pedicure I've ever had, very disappointing read more

Star Nails in Edgewood: Their quality of nail service is dependent on the gal that's available. It's hit or miss. They are working fast and sometimes can be rude. There is no spa setting of comfort. My nails look awful. However they've done wonderful in the past. If they could realize ladies go in to be pampered and want to feel beautiful upon leaving. It's more so a quick job with errors. read more

Very rude and unprofessional!! Talk down to there customers .. I am more than willing to drive an extra 10 min !! Don't waste your time and $$ read more

I have been a customer of theirs for several years and will unfortunately not Be going back. They say they open at 9:00 am, but I waited for 15min before they actually opened the door. There was 2 of us waiting and they proceed to ask us to come back because they have appointments at 9:15am. It was 9;15 and thier appointments were not even there, they were late or didn't show up! Needless to say if they had opened at the time stated they wouldn't be losing business! Terrible business tact when you are going to turn away 2 customers that had been waiting 15 minutes for you to actually open for customers that weren't even there! To bad! They are late constantly, not going to waste my time or money on this salon anymore read more

I've been to this nail salon a handful of times and each time was a good experience. The most recent visit was on a Sunday in the afternoon. It was a little busy. All three nail techs that were there were working with someone when I arrived. Waited about 20 min for someone to help me but was worth the wait. My acrylics turned out great and they were done quickly by the nail tech. The reason why I took one star off is because I didn't see the tools sanitized. read more

Went in several times over the past couple years for lip and chin wax. It was hit of miss, but MORE than once, the technician let the wax get SO hot that the last 3 applications/spots of the process burnt my chin so bad that it literally SCABBED over and my face looked horrendous. If you have sensitive skin never get your face waxed here. read more

Vanessa is the best!!! I have gotten my nails done at a lot of places and by far she's is awesome!

The place I like to go double booked us and I needed to get my shellac redone on my nails so they would look nice at my son's college graduation. We went here because it was local and they let us walk-in. I know they have a lot of loyal customers, but it was just ok compared to other strip mall nail salons. The ladies who worked there weren't the greatest communicators with us as customers, but they sure enjoyed talking to each other. A LOT. That always makes me feel slightly uncomfortable because I think they are saying mean things about me. The shellac was the same price I pay elsewhere, but the manicure was hurried and the shellac started chipping before I even made it to the following weekend, so I kept my hands in my pocket for the graduation. read more

Very rude employees. They dog everyone that walks in and then talked crap in there language when I gave a $2 tip after spending $30 on shellac that took 15 minutes. read more

Not happy!! Still here and listening to them talk crap because I called them out on charging me more for less service than my friend! Even had that friend come in with proof and nope..... And still talking crap!!!! Never coming back. She needs to finish so I can leave read more

Love this salon !! They keep it very clean, I have observed their early Monday morning major all over full salon scrub down. Has always been clean. Wait time is not horrible. Drop in at most salons at peak time can be a drag. This is not drive thru. But it is worth the drive for me. Vivian is the most recent to do my nails. She is kind and so very thorough. My gel nails last much longer from this salon. All of these wonderful women have at one time or another taken care of my nails and do an amazing job. Most important for me is that it lasts. I don't have time to be a frequent flyer. I have NEVER had an unkind rude or inconsiderate experience here or over charged. I have been to three other salons in the near area and have had been charged higher fee or had marginal service and not impressed with the hygiene of their salons in comparison. Will stay with this salon read more

I've been here probably six times over the last five years only coming here as an emergency every time being totally disappointed in the finished product, overpriced rude staff . I even brought my granddaughter's here one time for a special day and the little one might have only been three and a half but she knew her pretty toes got messed up when then putting her sandles on her, while wet... They said no big deal she only baby " And then get made if the tip isn't what they expect !! Don't waste your time or $$ !! read more

When I come in and say I want a FULL SET of nails but I want Shellac that means- I want fake nails and a shellac polish. Not a manicure. That also means, I understand that costs extra. I was giving this place business even though I was never really all that happy with their service and the way they did my nails. Not coming back here to get my nails done ever again. When I finally realized she wasn't doing it the right way and told her about it she didn't even seem like at all she was willing to fix it. Like it was going to be a big deal if she had to. So I said don't even bother, because it didn't want to sit there while they probably bad mouthed me for getting what I originally came in there to get. Leaving super angry and on top of that I didn't even get the color I wanted. What a joke.. Only reason I give more then 1 star is because she seemed really nice at first and was usually the nicest one there when I previously went in. read more

I have been coming here for 5 years. I always go to Vanessa and she always does an amazing job. She always makes sure I am happy which is hard to do because I'm so picky. I recommend this place and Vanessa to everyone! read more

Horrible service. Worst customer service ever. Ended up adding additional charges that was never asked for in the first place. They will try to confuse you by throwing numbers around and when your ready to pay it ends up being more than what was discussed. We tried to explain why we were being charged so much and they got mad at is for bringing it up. Then proceeded to talk about us in front of other customers to blatantly be disrespectful. Never again will we ever return. Customer service goes a long way and this definitely won't be a place I wouldn't even spend a penny on. read more

I had been a long time customer of Star Nails and am usually reasonably satisfied. However, I have always been frustrated with their booking and wait times. On this occasion, I made an appt. to have my nails done 1 week in advance for a special event that was taking place the same evening. Upon arriving, I could see that they were busy. I asked if I would be done by 530pm as I needed to get to my event. They apologized and advised me that it could not be done. They were running behind and too busy. Apparently, having an appt means nothing. They take walk-ins without regard to any scheduled appointments. I will not be going back. Very poor customer service. read more

I've been going to Star for about 4-5 months. The first few times my nails turned out great. But for the past 2 months (about 4 visits) the quality and service has continually declined with each appointment. The attention to detail flew out the window at some time during those months. For example...my visit 2 weeks ago I had one nail that the acrylic had cracked and another that lifted. About a 1/4 of the way through my fill I noticed she was ignoring those troubled spots I asked if those things were fixable..of course she said "No." I then asked if she was going to fix them. And rudely she said that each would be $3. I have never had an experience at a nail salon where the Manicurist wouldn't automatically tell me my fill would cost extra because she needed to something. It seems pretty obvious most women that get manicures would want it to look how it's supposed to! I don't understand why she wouldn't say anything, it made me feel as if she didn't care, and wanted to get to the next client. That same visit my Mom had a fill, Shellac, and her eyebrows waxed. the Shellac cracked literally within a half hour, and A LOT of wax was left on her brow. My Mom and I had an appointment yesterday. (I had to wait a half hour because they had just started on a walk-in) I needed a completely new set put on because EVERY nail had lifted after only two weeks. (My white tips usually last three visits) Again, they protested about me wanting them to put on a new set! When it was almost time to pay, she told us the total. A few minutes later she asked how my Mom would be paying (by debit card) She raised the price by $10, and gave a vague answer, that made no sense as to why it was now more expensive (something about having to fix something?? I have no idea LOL) In light of our recent experiences, my Mom decided to tip 15% instead of her normal 20-25%. In front of a semi-busy room she told my Mom "You not tip enough." When did gratuity become mandatory? A monetary way of saying "Thank you, you've gone above and beyond!?" As a bartender, I realize the importance of gratuity. But, I would NEVER expect a tip, let alone DEMAND one! I will be taking my business elsewhere, and suggest you do as well... unless you want to gamble getting poor service, and sub par quality as punishment for not tipping as much as they dictate! read more

Ladies that work here are very nice! Love how they do eyebrows! Don't try and force an arch that isn't there!!! Pedicures are great! Wasn't 100% satisfied with my manicure as the paint came off a little over a week later and it was shellac. Lady did stay past closing to finish up everything I wanted! Overall great place! Go there every 2 weeks for my eyebrows! read more
