They gave me an infection and now I m on antibiotics and in pain - A person's foot with pink toenail polish is shown resting on a multicolored, textured surface with floral and abstract patterns.

I will never come here again. I came here five days ago for a pedicure and the girl was ripping my toenails apart and digging into my nail bed. She used clean tools for this however used a nasty used pummus stone and brush on my nails before I could say anything. now I'm on antibiotics for an INFECTION. Disgusting. I work as a nurse and am on my feet 24/7 and my toe is throbbing bc Star Nails doesn't care about cleanliness. Absolutely horrible.

Came in for a manicure and paid for a manicure but basically got a polish change. I didn't get a any lotion on my hands/arms, my nails weren't Buffed, my cuticles were not cut even when I asked them to be and it took a total of 10 min. When I came time to paint I picked a light pink, the color went on so bubbly and Every layer of paint you could see. I asked the nail tech if she saw the bubbles, hairs, and all of the above, and that she was missing all of the edges of my nails ... she got frustrated got up and another women sat down. This new women painted another color which I was grateful for but I'm disappointed just a polish change again. No other manicure things I'm accustomed to.... Also they asked for form of payment early on, after my nails were filed and about to be soaked by the first women. That's all the was done! File and soak, then paint! They charged me $3 for gel removal (which I understand) but wasn't posted or said to me during the removal process. When I spoke to the owner he told me I was charged for a regular manicure and I should have received lotion at the least . I explained to him the situation and he told me they nail tech must have forgot .. ( she forgot her job?! ) he did ask me to come back and had my nail fixed . I said no thank you; I was hoping for at least a partial refund $16 for my nails to be ugly is a waist! His response to the situation was I will remind my nail techs of what they are suppose to do tomorrow. Do not come here !!!!

It was my first time here and it is certainly my last. I went an hour before the place closed and the nail tech, who worked on my nails rushed through the whole thing. The atmosphere was not relaxing at all . Everyone working was gossiping the entire time I was there . My manicurist just seemed very rude. She barely massaged my hands and my nails were done sloppy. I would not recommend coming here.

5 days after getting a gel manicure! Isn't gel supposed to last 4-5 weeks????? Big disappointment! Never again! - A hand with a French manicure shows chipped and damaged nails, with some nails missing polish or having uneven edges.

I came in tonight at 5:15 to have a pedicure and gel manicure done before I leave for a trip tomorrow. The salon is supposed to close at 8:30. Pedicure first then gel manicure. I sat under the fan and heater for an additional 20 minutes after the manicure was done. The ladies wanted to close early at 6:30 so they said they wanted to wrap my feet in saran wrap and I'd be fine that it was all dry. After a 12 minute drive home this is what my nails look like. Completely ruined. I look ridiculous and now need to remove it all and have wasted $35. Will be asking for my money back when I'm home. I tried calling but no one is there (because they've left early) to fix this before I leave. The girls were nice but they shouldn't have forced me out the door if my nails weren't dry. I'm supposed to be in a wedding this weekend and I can't show up with nails like this!

    Exactly what happened with MMA

Do not use this salon. I previously got ok manicure pedicure but went for acrylic nails and WHAT A DISASTER! The nails do not come off with 100% acetone and they are like slime which means this salon is using ILLEGAL MMA nails. This product can cause permanent damage to your nails. My advice stay far far away!!!!

    Yup... the worst

Worst manicure I've ever had. My technician seemed very nice at fist but as I critiqued she became defensive. My thumb nail is split- I asked for a silk wrap. She said they don't do that but have something better...that something better was crazy glue and acrylic powder. I won't go into how much time it took me to get her to buff that disaster down until it actually looked like a nail but good lord! Bottom line, the girl had to redo two nails, which in the end were worse. I plan on going to another nail salon tomorrow because I hate my manicure so much. Not to mention 8 hours later it's chipping.

Didn't clean the excess nail from underneath

Tried my luck in googling for a highly rated nail salon with honest reviews and ended up choosing to go to The Muse Nails. I am writing this review after having gotten my nails done yesterday afternoon. This nail salon is located in the busy center of Hingham with parking right out front. My sister, cousin and myself all made appointments to get a manicure. I got dip extensions with a sparkly "almost" French tip and individually placed crystals for each finger. I have never gotten dip or extensions before and the nail tech was incredibly patient with answering all my questions and concerns. I was floored by how stunning my nails looked when he was done. Absolutely a work of art. I can't stop admiring his work. All the edges of my nails are smooth and the same height as my other hand. Just perfection. My sister got dip extensions with some swirls and they turned out even better than what she imagined. Vanna suggested adding sparkles and it was gorgeous when she added the finishing touches! My cousin got a regular manicure with different colors for a more eccentric, but chic look. Again, her tech suggested picking different colors from what she initially chose. Pinks over nudes and the color scheme complimented her skin tone so much more. I can't say enough besides the fact the nail techs here know exactly what they're doing and their opinions/advice on what you want to get are so helpful and well thought out. I will be coming back for sure! The service and work is arguably one of the best I've had in a very long time. I wash my hands a lot at work due to being a nurse and call me impressed. My cuticles still look fabulous and my nails are STUNNING! Compliments galore. What a win finding this place!

With a special event coming up, I decided to get a spray tan at Urban Beauty Lounge since it has such glowing reviews. Booking was easy enough, and the ladies at the front desk were friendly. The spray tan itself was also quick and straightforward, but a few things struck me as odd and gave me a bad gut feeling: 1. The technician asked me if I wanted my face sprayed AFTER I already felt droplets on my face, and when I told her I had a full face of makeup on (including false eyelashes), she said that it's fine. I did some digging and have not seen this being the case at ANY spray tan salons - normally they ask that you remove your makeup or provide wipes before blasting your face with tanning solution. 2. On that note, there was no pre or post-care conversation except for a paper with instructions stuck on the wall (which, if you're not as familiar with spray tanning as I am, comes off as a lack of care overall. I had to do my own research on how to prepare). 3. The tanning solution they use is the same for every client, no customization of color, no asking what shade you want to be. This leads me to the results... I left my accelerated tan on for 2-3 hours as I wanted a more natural glow for my event. I followed their post-care poster to a tee. This morning, I wake up, go to the bathroom, and literally feel my stomach sinking. I am ORANGE as orange can be. My face is splotchy with orange streaks (from what I assume is the solution being sprayed OVER my foundation and makeup). I've never been this orange in my life, even with the shittiest cheapest drugstore fake tan I used once before. A day out from my event, and I'm scrambling to find DIY solutions at home to get this tan off of me. I'm embarrassed to leave the house looking like Snooki from Jersey Shore circa 2009. I don't know how it is that the other reviews are so positive: what experience and results did they have that differed so much from mine? Needless to say, I am really devastated and will not be going back. I've attached photos of my results (they look worse in person, trust me).

What's most important to me is excellent cleanliness, medical-grade hygiene and perfect technique followed by having a variety of nail polish colors from which to choose. I also appreciate when the technician can do a good basic manicure without polish and just expert buffing...I will have to see how this is done on a future visit. Yesterday I decided to try this salon that I've driven by a number of times. I was not disappointed. Trinity did my mani/pedi and she was terrific. She was careful, thorough, neat and meticulous. I knew I wanted white nail polish for both mani and pedi and she helped me with my selection. I chose OPI Alpine White which sets off my (unintended) tan very nicely. The shop is very orderly, clean and nicely set up. Everything looks well-taken care of. It's got a mellow vibe and there was quiet, pleasant music is playing in the background. They have a nice selection of updated magazines. It seems to be a relaxing place. There are a few choices of pedicures you can get. The basic pedicure for $30 was enough for me and included leg rub and hot towels wrapped around my legs which was soothing. My manicure included the base coat, 3 coats of color and the top coat. My last salon only gave two coats of color and sometimes that really was not enough. I got a great hand and arm massage and at the end, I even got a neck and shoulder massage! Total cost for mani/pedi combo before tip was $60. Only 3 dollars more than the last salon I went to and for a far better job and better atmosphere. I will definitely be back to Angel Nails! This was terrific service with cleanliness and professionalism. I recommend!
