Not safe ... I was treated horrible... I was new to the area ... voiced my desire for a specific length and style... short length almond shape...the owner, Jennifer was rude ... they talked about me amongst themselves in Vietnamese... her mother did my pedicure and burned me... then filed my toenail so thin it broke almost to the cuticle...I went there for an entire year... while trying to locate a new place... THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE AT ALL THESE NAIL SHOPS IS SO BAD... I do them myself... I bought dip powder, .. builder gel and now the latest is the Gelx... after 40+ years I WILL NEVER GO IN ANOTHER NAIL SHOP... below is my latest work ... better than any I ever received in Danville ... I did the Gelx ... ordered from

I am from out of town and needed my nails done. I always dred finding a shop in an unfamiliar area. My nails are SUPER short, but I like the gel polish because it stays on so long if done right. Most places I go, don't even try and barely actually 'manicure' at all. I showed up at star nails after 7pm on a Friday night fully expecting them to ask me to come back tomorrow. When they asked me to have a seat I was glad but nervous at the same time. This close to closing usually means your going to be rushed. Not only did the girl take her time, she did an amazing manicure and was super careful and gentle with a sensitive nail I have. She was being very careful taking her time painting, it's hard painting this short of nails without making a mess. Bottom line, I am impressed and hope I come back to this area soon. I'll be visiting Star Nails for sure

Really happy we went here! Did have to wait but well worth the wait. Very good and friendly staff, making sure I got what I wanted. Beat gel nails I have had in a while. Very relaxing pedi with stones, sugar scrub and paraffin wax. I also will say they have good prices.

This was my first time going here and the experience was not overall bad but the lady who did my nails left them bumpy and the thickness near my cuticle was a little too thick! The bumpiness is hard to tell through the camera but it is very noticeable in person! I would definitely be trying other locations. I was also charged 35$ for a fill in and this was it.

I had not had my nails done in the salon for about a year. What a special treat to have a gel manicure. I love the way they turned out. I had a light green cat eye! The salon is comfortable, clean and very busy, but I was still greeted quickly. It did not take long for nails to be completed. The pricing is good. read more

After reading some of the reviews, I was honestly scared to come to the place but I seen a lot of people on Facebook. They recommended them so I gave it a try and I'm very glad I did. It's a very nice salon. Everyone's really nice and they get you in pretty quickly, fair prices and James and Jasmine r the best! The owner is very nice and did my daughter's nails and was so sweet! Never going there again. Used to be my go to shop. The tech kept trying to take my wedding band off, she did my nails and they are so uneven. The color is even coming off. I used to recommend this place but now my whole outlook of them has changed. read more

Star Nails is my new nail salon in Danville!! I have literally tried to match the service and quality since moving here from Houston and I will say they are it! Tommy shaped my nails exactly how I wanted them and he was patient while I figured out what I wanted. I enjoyed my time although I wish we could make appointments. Other than that, they earned my business. read more

Jennifer has a disgusting attitude to ppl of color, she rushes through your set. If you're white she's extremely friendly and takes her time to assure that your nails are done properly. She also has an issue if you ask her to correct her mistake, I definitely will not return! read more

First time here and needed a fill badly so i stopped by. The wait wasnt too bad about 10 mins and Wen attended me. He was good although i asked for a cutdown and i felt he cut down my ring and pinky finger too much but other than that, i would try him again. read more

I was scheduled with Tom, I requested a full set of acrylics medium length square with rounded corners. He suggested an ombré French manicure-which is gorgeous and very natural looking. He cleaned up my cuticles and applied oil. He is a perfectionist and he did not pick up his cell phone at all. That was impressive-I appreciated that. He did answer a few calls for the business but that didn't take away from his attentiveness to me as the customer-he was quick and only answered if he was finished with his current task.
