I am disappointed in the experience with Star. We received a strong referral to Isaac from a friend. He came over to take measurements and discuss the full kitchen remodel project. He promised a quote within a few days. A week went by, and he was still working on it. Then, after two weeks of waiting and requesting it again along the way of the wait, he became unresponsive. While Isaac presented as 100% professional, his being unresponsive despite previous promises is unprofessional and cost us much valuable time. If this is how proactive someone is before they have my money, I do not want to know how it would be after I drop money, and I am fully committed. I am sure Isaac/ Star Marble and Granite do great work, at least sometimes, but this sequence of events was unacceptable, despite him having many opportunities to respond via text and phone. If someone does not follow up when they say they will--that's a huge red flag to find a responsive contractor. I am very glad I did not work with Star Marble and Granite in retrospect, as I used IAP Home Improvements, and they did a superb job in every aspect and at a great price. read more

Top notch customer service and friendly staff!! We did a complete house renovation and the kitchen renovation was almost completely off schedule when we couldn't get our regular team in to install our kitchen; but we found a new contractor and then came the counter top selection and install; we were looking at another 6 week wait with another company and our new contractor recommended Star aster another company quoted us an absolutely astronomical price for the same name brand counter!! My wife called ahead and we showed up to the show room, went to the back to pick a giant slab and look at a couple other pieces to make sure we had picked the one that would work best for us. It was a very simple and easy process. We went back inside to Isaac's office, completed the paperwork and were in an out quickly. They kept us up to date, cut our under mount sink hole, we're flexible with our installation date as we waited for our appliances to be delivered. The installation was great! Turns out one of the walls isn't straight (of course it isn't) but they quickly adjusted and made sure we had a flush fit and cut the holes for our faucet and soap dispenser. We are so happy to have found Star and will use them for any future projects (along with recommending them). I'm glad we didn't look at the reviews first or I probably would have overlooked them... so if your on the fence or looking for a counter company look no further!! read more

A friend referred me to Star Marble after having them install granite in a bathroom...I was looking for someone to do a kitchen remodel for me. I ordered cabinets from Cabinet Discounters and needed someone to do the install, provide granite, paint, new lighting and crown molding in kitchen and adjacent family room. Went with Star marble on recommendation from friend and because I felt comfortable with Isaac and Lisa when they came out and gave me an estimate. Everything went great with picking out the granite at their warehouse. They have a huge selection to chose from. The work started in early May...this is when everything started to go downhill...The first day the workers showed up as planned...that's about the only day they showed as planned. They would say that they would be at my house at 8 or 9 and I would stay home from work waiting for someone and they may show at 10 or 11 or not at all! The first few days, I tried to be patient but after losing more and more work time, I started to lose patience and finally started calling the office to see where the workers were. I eventually asked to be notified when I should expect to see someone so I wouldn't be waiting for hours losing work time for no one to show. Well, this too didn't work because most days, I wouldn't be contacted and would again be waiting hours after expected show time. Because of the late/no shows, the job took a lot longer than originally expected. It took a month to install cabinets/granite, new lighting, paint and crown molding. Once the crew finally finished the job, I will admit that it looked great...until you started looking closer and didn't take long for shoddy workmanship to start showing. The cabinets that I ordered from "Cabinet Discounters" (name is totally misleading but great product!) were custom hand paint that my wife and I picked out...we noticed that the installer drilled the wrong holes in one of the drawer fronts for the handle and tried to cover it up by filling the holes and a horrible job with touchup paint. I contacted Star Marble and sent them pictures of this. They sent Carlos out and he said that they would order a new drawer front from Cabinet Discounters. Problem is with it being custom paint, I doubt it will match properly. Well, that was 2 months ago and I have heard nothing back from Star Marble about the replacement! About the same time as this discovery, incompetence started to show up in the crown molding...The joints where cuts were joined and glued.molded together started to pull apart. It started with one and over a couple of months, almost every joint has pulled apart and looks horrible. The only thing I would recommend Star Marble for if anything would be granite. The only reason I give more than one star is because the granite is beautiful and even the install for that was also late. If you order expensive cabinets, pick someone else to do the install! read more

If you are into calling every day and driving over to their shop every other day to keep tabs on the production of a small shower bench top and a 36" threshold, then this is the place for you. If you don't feel like babysitting a granite fabricator, you might want to move on. Once I finally got the pieces the quality was ok - they could have been neater with their cuts but fortunately the installation hid that shoddy work. The quartz itself is beautiful but you have to thank Mother Nature for that. read more

We came here after a recommendation from a relative. Janet was very helpful and so was Isaac. They were a bit late for the install but things happen and they came the correct day and we were letting them in the house while we were gone anyways so it didn't really matter to us. Everything looked good but we did have a few shiny spots on leathered granite (which isn't shiny) so we had to call them back out. They ended up using Acetone to remove the spots so it was an easy fix and they look good. One of the seams had some extra epoxy in the corner that they were supposed to fix while out there, but my husband forgot to show them that and I'm not asking someone to come out a third time when he forgot to show them. We did an undermount sink and it seems a little too much glue was used and dripped onto the metal cabinet mount rail, but it's inside and doesn't affect anything. I'm pretty confident we could use a blade and remove it ourselves. (Again, my husband forgot to show them this part.) Overall the price was good and the counters look great. I knocked a star because I feel like they should have made sure there weren't spots before leaving the first time BUT I would most likely use them again if I ever need granite installed so I am happy with everything. read more

Poor installation were done on additional counter and left extra holes on the wall. Were rushing to do the job done. Over priced and given price was changed after visiting the store. No back splash were install on extra counter and asking for additional $$. I won't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have gotten granites and marbles from them for 7 years. The reception desk and tops for cabinets in my clinic, beautiful white Carrara on my master bathroom, and the size of 9x4ft elegant mystery white marble for my kitchen island. Especially the installation of the kitchen island marble was very tricky not only my Viking cooktop was not leveled right but also some part from the cooktop was interfering with sitting the marble. However, they made everything fit perfectly. They did the wonderful job as usual! The price is even better than any other places. They are very professional in all aspect.
