We purchased a marble bathroom countertop and kitchen granite countertop from Stone Depot. First I would like to state they reminded me of the type of companies my parents dealt with 30 years ago. Personable and do whatever it takes to get the job completed correctly to the customers satisfaction. These type of companies have been difficult to find in today's it is what it is business module! Stone Depot came out for the initial template measurement and estimate. Then Prior to cutting the stone they returned to confirm measurements. During these visits they consulted and advised on the proper preparation for the installations. While installing our kitchen, the stone cracked in a vulnerable location. The store replaced the entire stone. Our previous granite installation, the tech's glued the cracks and filled with sealant. Also, our kitchen designer insisted we could not install our previously purchased 29 inch farmers sink because of the size and the layout. When stone depot came out to measure, the owner said there was no reason for that and explained what we needed to do to make it fit, detail by detail they wet above and beyond and the counter is stunning! Throughout our entire process the staff was attentive, professional, and demonstrated great customer service. We highly recommend Stone Depot. read more

The material and design that I was looking for was very specific. Audrey has gone out of her way helping me looking for the exact one I wanted and fits my budget. Although it didn't work out at the end, I was very impressed by the customer service, dedication and professionalism that Audrey and Alex have provided to us. I worked on my kitchen counter with Alex, the co-owner Stone Depot, and my experience couldn't be worse. He was very pushy through out. He asked for cash, I said yes. The total was $2800 for the counter top I had chosen but he changed things around saying what i want is not available and pushed me to get something else for $3200. He asked me for $2200 upfront telling that this "works better for him", I had no choice and gave hi cash. At the end he created this urgency that I have to give him the rest of the money that day, I ended up driving to Lorton to give him the money. When I noticed that y=the job is not done, I asked him to come back but he went MIA. I asked him for $800 refund, since I had to take extra measure to fix and finish his job. I wanted to go to small claim court but instead decided t write a review so no other person will fall into trap of this guy. I am disappointed that I didn't take stronger stand when he was pushing me around, but I hope you will. read more

Our experience was excellent with Stone Depot. We closed on our house on Thursday the measurements were taken on Friday and the install was done 72 hours later. Mario was very helpful and it was worth the money we spent. We are estatic about the end result. The only negative thing I have to say is that they dont tell you that you may need to repair the undermount of the counter. We have bar tops in our kitchen and it is really ragged underneath from where they took the old stuff off. I thought that came with the package. Oh well. Ill call tomorrow to see if they can come back out. read more

We sought out a company that would do quality installation of granite counter tops in our home; Stone Depot was recommended. The installation did not go quite as well as we were led to expect. In summary: scheduling was messed up, demensions were incorrect and installation was far from satisfactory. Bottom line - they took back the stone after ruining two slabs and we received a refund (the refund was the best part of the deal). read more

I purchased granite from them thinking that because they were a smaller company their prices would be better. This was not true. After making the purchase, their staff was not very responsive to calls and the owner could never be reached. I tried canceling the order and they claimed that the granite had already been cut. When I tried scheduling the installation, they couldn't find or remember my order. When they installed the granite in my bathroom, they left a dent in the drywall. Contrary to Bill's negative experience, I would like to express my complete satisfaction with my personal experience at Stone Depot. Amir was more than accommodating and went out of his way to drive me up to the warehouse in Maryland one Saturday morning, so I would have my pick of the myriad slabs of granite in the huge warehouse there. Everything from that point went flawlessly, the measuring, the cutting, the installation, the fit, timeliness, everything. I did not have one complaint. I had a wonderful experience with Todd at Stone Depot. My project was small, but I was impressed that they valued my business regardless of the size of the job and wanted to do great work for me. I had shopped around to two other granite businesses who couldn't be bothered with my small project for a reasonable price. Todd helped me come up with a cost effective idea for my project and was EXTREMELY responsive....as far as sending photos by email so I didn't make the trip to the shop until I was ready to make the purchase. Stone depot is horrible, will never use them again. They do horrible work and demand payment seconds after they install so you don't realize they do horrible work. THE WORST COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM, you will end up paying far more for them to fix their mistakes than the original quote read more
