The store was immaculate and well-stocked. They offered several brands of the item I was looking for. The store shares an enormous parking lot with other businesses. I will definitely spend more time in the store on my next visit to see what else I can find.

Poorly managed carts fly around the lot at very high speed and one of them hit someone's car. They declined to give their insurance info and offered to pay out of pocket instead. The whole time, they ignored my emails and stalled the process until I mentioned court. The manager and owner, Dimitris Svigos and Jonathan Svigos, agreed to reimburse my expenses in the end. But once I gave them the invoices, they ignored me completely and stopped responding. They make this difficult for you on purpose, simply because they can. UPDATE: I filed a small claims case. These two geniuses (one of them with an MBA) let it escalate, and they ended up agreeing to pay triple what we agreed to at first. Brilliant financial decision from the MBA. Then they started looking for excuses not to pay again and decided to hire a lawyer too, instead of just paying and getting it over with. It was another brilliant move from MBA. They also claim they never had authorization to agree to any payment, because the store actually belongs to their parents. So apparently Jonathan, Partner and VP of the store with an MBA, can't handle a small claims case without asking his daddy for permission I'll keep you posted.

Food court is ok and can be crowded at times. ===== A bit of a trek from downtown, but sadly I think this is the closest East Asian grocery store to the loop. It can be pretty crowded in here at peak times. Good selection of produce, dried goods, sauces, snacks, meat etc. they also have a nice section of fish cakes and fish balls as well as sashimi and other sushi-making ingredients. My favorite things to buy here are produce, tteok, rice, and overpriced kimbap (~9$+ per roll). Things here are generally pretty pricy compared to other shops out in Chinatown or in the suburbs. My beloved Joong Boo shall remain first in my heart over this place since it's much more reasonably priced, and the food court is better. They do have some good deals here that you can find on their weekly flyer. Food court is ok and has SGD tofu house which is my go-to, a fried chicken and corn dog place, and some other place I forgot that was probably meh. Staff are very friendly and things here are generally well-organized and easy to find. There's a Paris Baguette, too, which is often out of many kinds of bread if you go in the later afternoon.

The toast consisted of two slices of sourdough bread topped with creamy lemon spread and anchovies. The contrast of the bright lemon flavor with the ultra-salty anchovies was tempered by the creamy butter - these all paired together quite well. The gnocchi, on the other hand, was underwhelming. The gnocchi was much too soft (it had the texture of mashed potatoes), and the red sauce was bland. All in all, visiting Eataly was a cool way to experience gourmet Italian food.

I got that slight smoky char on the meat, then the sweetness kicks in before the spice starts building up. The tacos also had chunks of pineapple in them, which made a huge difference. That little burst of sweetness with the spicy pork was so good together. On top there was this green topping, maybe seaweed or scallions, not even sure, but whatever it was, it paired perfectly with the pork and added this fresh flavor that balanced everything out. The rest of the store has the bakery and deli counters, and they have fresh meats if you like getting meaty. Also they have a stand to get fresh gelato. The prices are pretty good, and they had lots of cheap specials. Clean and organized with everything looking fresh. It's certainly got Indian products, but there's a whole lot more, and good prices.
