I was referred by a lady we met in a S. Austin Target. We made the appointment, and they gave us the time they had available. Our appointment was scheduled for 9A and left early and made it there by 8:41A. When we made it inside there were 2 braiders currently taking care of people and they asked if we had an appointment. While we sat and waited 2 braiders came in and asked us what my daughter was getting and then got started shortly before 9A. Prior to this appointment I was told to ensure that my daughter's hair was washed and blow-dried and I am assuming that was why we weren't there long. The 2 braiders worked on opposite ends of her head. Whenever another braider came into the salon, they made sure to say hello and good morning to everyone. By 10:30A they finished her hair, and she was excited because this was her first time getting knotless and she loved. We will definitely be back.

There was one lady that worked in the front of my hair by herself and one lady did the back of my hair by herself. I understand that the style took a long time because of the length and size I requested, plus they were a bit understaffed. I have a few "gripes." When I drove away one of the twists in the front slipped out. I could have turned the car around but after sitting for 6 hours, I was over it. I reattached it myself. Also, two days later, some of my natural hair is sticking out of the twists in the back and I've been working my hair back into them when I see it. Additionally my hair is parted into a small grid in the front and I have some pretty large parts in the back. Don't get me wrong, I get it, but in think my hair would look weird if I tried to put it in a half up half down style. Overall, the hair doesn't look bad I'm just not sure how long it's going to last. If you're in a pinch and need braids, maybe risk it. I might suck it up and drive to Houston next time.

On my last visit, Meredith was my stylist, and she was fantastic. She really listened to what I wanted, our conversation was easy and enjoyable, and my hair turned out exactly how I hoped. I'll definitely be requesting her from now on! My only other complaint is the location. I have to drive all the way to Cedar Park or South Austin since they closed their north location. I really hope they reopen one in North Austin, just not at The Domain. Parking in garages down the street is a hassle, especially when there are much more convenient locations available.

I booked my first-ever blowout as a way to treat myself after a few stressful weeks at work. I booked online and even added the deep conditioning treatment and head massage because I wanted the full experience. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of my expectations. When I arrived, there was no greeting or welcome, just someone eventually looking up to check me in. The waiting benches were also surprisingly uncomfortable, with the window ledges digging into my back. Once I was taken back, there was almost no communication. No "Is this your first time here?", no explanation of the process, no confirmation of the services I'd booked, and not even a quick check that the water temperature was comfortable. I also wasn't turned toward the mirror during the service, so I couldn't even see what was being done. The salon was unusually quiet overall, with very little interaction between stylists and clients, which made the atmosphere feel a bit impersonal. To make matters worse, my stylist realized only at checkout that she had forgotten to perform both of the add-on services I had paid for. She did issue me a credit after speaking with her manager, but since I had booked those services specifically for that visit, a future credit didn't really make up for the missed experience. The blowout itself was perfectly fine, but that's only part of why people book appointments like this. Most people can dry their own hair at home; the value is in feeling cared for, relaxed, and a little spoiled. I walked in excited for a special treat after a difficult few weeks and walked out feeling more disappointed than refreshed.
