So i just went in to this location on way home to pick something up from work. It was a ghost town. Zero customers. I walk in the manager inassume was talking to two employees about work related stuff which is fine. But could of stopped so one of the associates could check me out. Well the first associate was sitting on the outside of the register and didn't even get up when I walked up. The other associate who was open I went to. Did not say hello or if I found everything okay. No social skills what so ever. Skipped passed the screen for me to enter my phone number. Then asked if I had a number. But in between she had her phone out texting while checking me out. She looked at me and asked if I was done after I used the pin pad because she was to busy worrying about her phone which was the most unprofessional thing you can do in a business which calls for Customer service. Not to mention the manager in charge just walked off and not even a greeting from him when I walked in or up to the registers. I dont care if your busy or slow customer service is always number one. I do hope the company reads this and trains tgere employees on the value of customers. Went to drop off a UPS package, already labeled and pack. The associate took his sweet time to come over. I tracked my package the next day and it hasn't even been pick up yet, he failed to mention that the pick had already gone for the day, Therefore my package is now later to my customer. I call the store to find out what happened and the associate who answered the phone was no help, he said I just got in, therefore I don't know if you package got shipped or not. I like this store. Have been coming for YEARS! Managers, employees, especially copy area, real nice! My only problem is with the *MEN'S ROOM! This Staples has a history of water leaking from urinal and toilets. For a place of business like this that has THOUSANDS of customers walking in and out of the bathrooms , this is pretty disgusting! I blame corporate for this. Hire a damn plumber for GODS SAKE! If this was my house, I would have had it done already. You shouldn't have to wait for a YELP REVIEW like this to point out a soaking floor and wet footprints coming out of the men's room! Just get an overhaul already. I could fix your urinal in 2 hours, but I am not available now. So call a licensed plumber before somebody catches a disease! read more

I got great service here. It is always stocked with inventory and everyone is more than willing to offer help to the customers.

It is always difficult to find assistance in this store. Although better staffing could help some, I think the bigger problem is their poor customer service. After being in the store for close to ten minutes and unable to find what I was looking for, I looked around for help and was able to make eye contact with the manager. That didn't help much since the manager continued to walk in the opposite direction after I tried to call him over. It's possible he simply missed my signal. Their customer service standards were a bit low particularly for it to be such a slow day. No greeter and I ran into not one associate walking the floor that I could grab. If you are familiar with the set up of Staples and would rather not have associates bothering you, then this is your store. As for me, I'll drive the extra distance to their next location and try my luck there. read more

I had an awesome experience here at staples. I arrived around 8ish after finding out they opened at 7am that's definitely great for those who need to get things printed for Work. I had the pleasure of working with Cristine in printing. She was super helpful when I wasn't sure what size to print for a set of blue prints . Tried to return $20 of paper towels for store credit because I didn't have a receipt. Simple enough, right? No. Wouldn't give me store credit because I don't have a driver's license or a state issued ID. I asked if I could use a passport, no, passport was not good enough. I had all sorts of ID but Staples wouldn't allow me to make a return all because I lost my license. WTF kind of policy is that? I could see if I was tryinign to return thousands of dollars of merch but really, Staples? $20 of store credit denied because I cant drive. Phuck this place read more

He pulled off phone cover to replace then proceeds to mess up 2 new applications- tells us "he gives up" and sends us to Verizon - where he previously said we're going to over charge us, etc. Was charged for a phone protection screen that was never successfully applied. I used Stapels Raritan NJ today between 2-3 pm. I normally receive helpful, excellent service at the print/ marketing area. Today was a different story though! For the last 3 years I get printed images on transparency paper for my projects every few months,never a problem. A gentleman named John was unhelpful,uninterested and inattentive to deliver good service or direct me in the right direction. He told me they don't Print on transparency paper, after I told him I am getting this done every few months at their store! I had to ask If they sell transparency paper and if they could print the image if l buy my own paper. I returned to the service area with my own paper and another lady also working there took transparency paper out of their own cabinet, right in front of me to do the printing! She was friendly and gave me a refund for paper unnecessary bought due to lack if interest, laziness or inattentiveness of one of her co workers. Bad customer service! read more

This pains me to say, bc this is the Staples where I joyfully bought back to school supplies as a child, but do not attempt to print anything here. It is actually tragic. (ALL) the printers are often broken, and the customer service surrounding them is virtually useless and unapologetic, as frustrated customers wallow around in disbelief in printer purgatory. I know this is not normal for Staples bc I am always able to easily print whatever I want in the NYC locations. What I was trying to print the other day....one resume. On normal paper. I am not angrily basing this on one visit. It has happened here multiple times. I repeat, if you have something important to print at the last minute, DO NOT GO HERE. The inventory was picked over. Used items were repackaged and put back on the shelf as new but that was not the biggest problem... The Copy+Shipping Center is terrible. I waited in line on a Saturday morning for 20 minutes to ship 1 UPS box with a pre-printed label, just to have the service attendant deny me service !*?$#$ He said I using the wrong box (overnight versus standard). The box doesn't matter, it's the shipping label, idiot! He also refused to stick the shipping label to the box. Rather than deal with him, I left went to a competitor, the UPS Store in Bridgewater, NJ. They happily accepted the original box (no questions asked), applied the UPS label in a clear plastic envelope and offered to ship a USPS box they saw me carrying as well. Wonderful service and saved me a trip to the post office. Night & day difference in service. read more

Saves a 75 page "job" in their website. It gave me the option to send it for printing and would be available by 11am next day but I needed it sooner. So went in the morning to print it and nobody knew what I was talking about when I said a saved "job" on their Staples website . I was then pointed to a computer that I could use for a charge per minute? but why when I have my phone with me? I have a pdf on my phone and want to print it? It's 2018! Is that really such a confusing task to do? Left empty handed and frustrated and asked a friend to print it at work. What a waste of my time. read more

First of all, the store is very clean and well organized but the best part are the people. They seem to really enjoy what they do. The printing department is so good, they really have grown their business and it seems to be the busiest place in the store. I use Staples nationally, traveling for trade shows, business meetings, invariably something is needed and the nearest Staples always are amazingly accommodating and resourceful. Always! What i do not like is their rewards program. I do not think once, was I able to take advantage of any discounts earned, because the dates they are good until, usually here match up with my needs. I may do a trade show, build lots of collateral, earn lots of points and not need them for 4-6 months or longer, then I go in and the coupon is invalid. JUST MAKE IT LOW PRICE ALL THE TIME AND FORGET THE PHONEY AWARDS...NO ONE WANTS YOU TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND NO ONE SHOPS AROUND THAT MUCH FOR THE STUFF YOU SELL ESPECIALLY WITH OFFICE DEPOT GONZO. read more

The employee named Alex or Alexa, would not receive my ups return. The employee insisted that it needed to be returned to USPS, when it clearly stated on the return label and packing slip, that it gets returned to UPS. Very poor customer service. I'm not arguing with this employee so I decided to leave this store, and take my package to another staples location, where in fact they received my package and said it could have been brought to any staples for shipping back. read more

This store used to be so great, and has been going downhill for the past year or so. It is usually understaffed, items are illogically stocked, and the store really needs a good tidying up. I received a coupon from Staples via e-mail for $100 off an iPad Air2, but it was an in-store only coupon. When I got to the store, after waiting about 20 minutes for someone to help me and another gentleman who had been waiting, I was told (rather unapologetically) they would not honor the coupon because they do not carry the higher memory models of the iPad Air2 in the store. I asked if they would honor the coupon if I ordered the item while I was in the store, and was told no. Deceiving advertising and poor customer service. Not good. Everything is incredibly difficult to find, even popular items like notebooks, notepads and calculators. There was absolutely no one working on the floor so it made my trip twice as long. I was able to find what I needed but I also didn't think the prices were that great. Then, the checkout line. Again, they were completely understaffed and the line took forever. It was not cool. I wanted to be in and out but not so much the case here. I only come to Staples a couple of times a year, so I don't think I'll be back here any time soon. They should have had a lot more people working here on a busy Saturday. read more

2nd year in a row that I've had a problem with them laminating my posters. I have no problem with the rest of the store it is just that department. I am a teacher so I bring all of my larger posters to them to be laminated. I brought my posters in on a Friday night and was asked if I wanted them done now or pick them up Saturday. I chose Saturday. Saturday morning at 8:46 I got an email saying they were ready to be picked up. I wasn't able to get to the store until about 5pm that night. I walk in and say my name and I'm here to pick up my posters that were laminated. The lady tells me they weren't done. Why aren't they done??? I have the email saying they were done. She proceeded to go laminate them while I wait there for 15 minutes. She's done and I bring them back to my car. I look at them and almost all of them have something cut off of it. A cloud poster now has a straight part to it and all of the other rectangular posters are not even. Usually there is a little bit of the laminating paper left on the perimeter but that was entirely cut off and the poster was cut off too. Extremely disappointed not only that this happened but that this is the SECOND time this has happened. Will not be back read more

This is one of the best Staples in the area. The associates and store manager were helpful. The only reason that I did not give this a 5 is because drivers continue to drive through the pedestrian crosswalk directly in front of the store. They use it as a drive-thru and do not care that it's a walkway. read more

Just visited the Raritan, NJ store #0532 and can't believe that store is still open. I looked in every aisle and couldn't find a single employee. Finally went to the storage area and called out for "anyone". A young woman finally came to help me but, seriously, I've never experienced someone with worse body odor. She absolutely reeked and then went to a cash register to check me out. A few customers were discussing how badly she smelled. There was no manager in sight but the experience was so bad that when I got home, I decided to let someone know. I called the store and was actually on hold for 23 minutes before I hung up. I went on to call the customer service number and the CS rep did not know what to do. She hemmed and hawed and asked me to hold on while she spoke with an associate.........I finally hung up but just want to let someone know that that store HAS A PROBLEM.........whew!! read more

Copy center is great. The computer paper is twice the price of Wal-Mart. Most office supplies are cheaper at Walmart. Computer section is ok. The only trouble is that almost all of the computers they push and con you into buying are HP worthless computers. And if you need a printer they will walk you right to the HP printer section. Maybe they should change the nameb of the store to HP. They do sell other computers and printers but the store employees will change your mind and sell you an inferior HP product. The computer easy tech guys try to fix what HP makes them sell. My biggest problem is when they change you mind about a product you want, and you think you are getting a better product. read more

People are nice enough store has good prices and selection but be prepared to be constantly hassled to get a Staples Reward card. They force these poor kids to pester you at the checkout for a card to the point you want to walk out.--terrible customer service makes me question where I shop and Walmart carries many of the same items as do numerous on-line outfits. read more

Yesterday, at the Somerville Circle Staples store, we had the WORST experience ever! We had funeral cards made for my mother's funeral tonight. The finished product was not what we had requested. The counter person was not interested in any customer service and immediately asked the Manager to come over. We then met with Wes Fiorentino, whose business card says he is "Certified Print Pro, Staples Copy & Print". Mr. Fiorentino had an attitude even before we explained the situation. He was unprofessional, uninterested, uncourteous and rude. He did agree that the finished product was not as requested, the coloring, contrast, image and size were all incorrect. When asked what could be done to fix this, he replied that they would reprint the cards, but it would cost us the full $105 dollars, again. We felt it was unfair for us to pay to fix the mistakes they had made. He continued with his bad attitude and would accept no other offers or resolutions. In exasperation, we said we felt this was unacceptable behavior towards loyal, long-time customers and that we would recommend to family and friends not to come here, he loudly replied "PLEASE DO!" Be prepared to be on hold if you try to call them for 30 minutes. They never pick up. Happened to me on more than one occasion when calling.

Came in for an iPhone glass repair, was told the home button was broken during the repair process and they did not have the necessary piece to fix it in the store. They offered to send it to a warehouse to be fixed (2-3 days) and provide me with a loaner phone in the meantime, i reluctantly agreed. Manager told me i could pick up the new phone asap. I drove to pick it up and they had not even prepared my new phone, 45 minutes to an hour later he informs me my sim card does not fit the phone they have (i had an iphone they were giving me a droid). Another 15 minutes of no progress I give up and just ask for my phone and i'll get the home button repaired elsewhere, they agree and make me wait another half hour as they finish the glass repair they said was done before i came. Finally, nearly two hours later i have my repaired glass/broken home button phone and i head to iCity Repair in the Bridgewater Mall. Guys there have my phone fixed before I even finished paying my bill. If you crack or damage your screen, save yourself the headache and two hours of your day and just go straight to iCity repair in the mall, worth the mall traffic to have it done right. read more
