Overall, a very good experience here. This store has just about any office supply you could need. They also have a Clearance section in the back. They even have office chairs, which they will assemble for a fee. They have a Copy/Print Center, which I have not used. The service is friendly. This does not even count as a complaint, but the store has a very "messy" feel to it. There are too many displays of varying heights. It is not unclean, it just feels like it could use some straightening up. read more

I had some issues with my Lenovo laptop, which I purchased from this Staples store about 3 or 4 years ago - it is still under the service plan I purchased. Dan W. listened to my problems - pop ups and I want nothing to do with One Drive - it slows down and locks up my computer. So he took care of everything. Then I purchased another computer for my wife. He listened to her, answered her questions and recommended a desktop that will make her happy. Outstanding customer service. This is my "work" Staples and, while a teensy bit out of my way, totally worth visiting to scoop up school and office supplies. The store is clean and organized. I don't usually encounter associates on the floor, but they're friendly and speedy at the registers! Their $10 off (a $10+ purchase) keeps me coming back! Unfortunately for them I have pretty great willpower, so I'm only spending a few extra bucks at a time (pens [a few steps above BiC] are $12-14, a ream of colored paper is $16). And of COURSE I'm back around Back to School to get heavily discounted supplies like 2 pocket folders! They have rewards programs, too. I've always liked Staples for my school supply needs, and this location is consistent. Win. read more

I stopped at the Staples store in Glen Ellyn today to pick up an online order that I placed for invites for my daughter's baby shower and they came out beautiful! Stella helped me in the Printing department and she was just the sweetest lady who was so helpful and went overboard to make sure I was completely happy and she had me download the Staples app for great coupons! I will make this Staples my one and only place for printing everything and it's also so neat and clean AND has the best products! So happy!!! read more

I just left staples with the most unpleasant experience. From the staff being so rude and not helpful, to them literally sending me away after only asking to print one 5x7 card. I seriously wish I didn't even have to post a single star. This staples deserves nothing but terrible reviews! And if you think the staff is bad try talking to the manger! you could tell he had know idea what he was talking about, and was even more rude then the staff in the store! read more

Printing services are way too complicated. I needed to print address labels from a google spreadsheet. It has to be a PDF only and I have to convert it myself while using their computer which is .30 cents a minute. I had to buy my own labels, a whole pack for only needing 2 sheets worth of labels and no other option. I could use their website but that means I have to design each label one by one...why do that when I have a spreadsheet done already. I spent more money attempting to print simple address labels. read more

This review is directed at all you accordion aficionados ... accordion file folders, that is. And even though the early bird doesn't always get the worm when it comes to tax prep, I have a system. So, to Staples I went in search of these snazzy, jazzy, pocket folders with their unprecedented five and a quarter inch expandability. I am always amazed that there are always so few people in these stores that are comprised of a myriad of office items, not to mention items usually housed in office desks, including Slim Fast Bars, Tums, and Coffee mate. My file folders were in the far southwest corner of the store. After locating them, and on my way to check out, a pleasant man of seemingly managerial mode asked if he could help me. Uh, no, thank you, but thank you for asking. He smiled and kept going to a spot in the store that was even more SW than where I had been. Only one check out lane going; though there was a "return item" lane that was going. One man was handling check out and odd jobs then switched in mid stream to the return item lane only to be replaced by a nice young woman at the check out lane. Are you with me? In front of me, a nice lady of the non faux fur variety, who was accomplishing a multitask check out: purchase, return of used cartridges, a generalized purse search for a rewards card (somewhere), followed by a sign up for a rewards card to compensate for the originally non existent rewards card. Are you still with me? I felt positively insignificant and drab with my accordion file folders and LL Bean parka. At least I had lip gloss on. And behind me: 3 other folks in waiting. I have to give it to the young sales associate; she thanked us for our patience. Hey, even the lady in front of all of us apologized for the wait. And there we all stood. The young man handling the return lane was seemingly oblivious to all that was happening in the lane he had just abandoned. I got what I came for. I was pleased with the price. The sales clerk in the middle of the fray makes this review 3 stars. And the manager in the SW corner of the store ... perhaps he should consider that sometimes customers that wait will eventually leave, but they will remember the wait, and possibly wait to return. read more

Review for printing services only..... I wanted to print something from google drive here and it was WAY too involved! I'm used to Office Depot where you sign in on the printer and it prints! I had a discount code and they made me use their computer, log in, pay .30 a minute to pull it up and send it. Then the printer wasn't turned on and it didn't come through. THEN the clerk told me to email it to her as an attachment and she could print it. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE? Was it worth the $2.50 you got from me using your computer to insure that I won't be returning? I will be only be using Office Depot for this in the future. read more

There are many other stores and options in this area, but we always go to Staples. The customer service and employee involvement is outstanding. They will do anything within reason to assure the customer is satisfied. Whoever manages this location must really inspire the employees. Big thanks to Dale in printing for his good work. A great group of people but I had a bit of a mix up while using their business card center. It would have been ten times easier to just do it myself online now that I know. They took my business logo for the art departments mock up that took a day, and $20. Then I had to go back in to get the prints going. This took another day. Once I got the cards I noticed they mixed up my name with another employee. They redid my order, just to mess it up the same way. They were helpful and fixed the problem, but I just can't say the service was worth it. read more

On 12-29-15 I ordered a small poster online for same-day pick up in the Glen Ellyn Staples. I first called and spoke with Matthew who said that the job should be ready about 70 minutes after they received it. Plus, he gave advice about getting better quality with a semi-gloss paper. True to his word, Matthew called me within this time frame and I picked up the beautifully printed poster on my way home from work. The poster was to thank our building's letter carrier who was retiring after delivering mail to our residents for 29 years. It was a big hit. Kudos to Matthew for great customer service! read more

My 5 stars is to the printing department. My son is having a 1st bday party and I've turned into a monster! Ive been in a few times to print things for my sons party, and Dale (i hope thats his name) has been so incredibly helpful every single time! So polite and so helpful, from start to finish! Also had a poster made up for a work project which Jessica helped me with and had it done promptly! She was such a great help and very quick to make everything happen! Thanks printing team! The guy at the copy center had everything go wrong with the the copier and it took forever. So why the 5 stars? It's easy to have good customer service when everything goes right, this guy was having a horrible time of it but still was extremely helpful and apologetic. read more

The store is nice - but their rewards card system is garbage. They say you are going to get back $ if you recycle your cartridges and a % on what you buy. But it is up to you to check you status online and the rewards expire before you are aware you have them or can spend them. Shop around. Other places offer better prices! read more
