It does not surprise me that the reviews for this location are so low. While there are some staff that work here that are courteous and helpful, there are others that are pretty rude. In particular the one that has a tattoo reading "shut up" on his arm. Obviously I don't know if he is actually annoyed when I ask questions or for help or that is just the way he interacts with the world. Either way it's unpleasant, and I try not to take it personally but I always feel a little bummed when I leave there. Prices are fair, and I will continue to come because It's right by my house but only when I when I absolutely need something for work. read more

Came here to apply for the TSA Clear and bought some office supplies while here. The entire experience was excellent. We had an appointment for the TSA Clear and that went great The Lady was professional, friendly with a slight sense of humor. The Staples employees were helpful and friendly. I just wanted to pay for my singular pack of pencil lead and leave but Mark was very abrasive and pushy about the rewards program. He was literally guilting me into signing up for the rewards program and making me feel like an idiot for not wanting to. I said no, just let me pay and leave dude. He did the same for the guy in front of me too. I was in a good mood and was excited to start using my mechanical pencil again, but this made my day a little bit worse. read more

I've bought a number of things here from food and office supplies to furniture. There are some good values if you watch for deals and sign up for rewards. My issue with the place is the service: I know it's hard to get keep help today, but the last few times the cashier was either awkward and not real helpful or downright surly. Today the guy ignored me when I walked up to the counter - he was busy talking to someone else who was not checking out - and was clearly ticked off when I inquired whether I was in the right place to pay. read more

First time stepping into this location. Kenny Rd my home store printer is down. Stepped over to print area and was immediately told, "its going to be a while". Not hello, I will be with you in a minute. I inquired about the Print Your Own n she barely had to respond. She did have a Caucasian male at the counter. Once I'm done with my help ya self print, what do I see, this same person who could not assist me, assisting another Caucasian gentleman at the counter, while the same gentleman waited. Recently shopped for an office desk at Staples on Sawmill. The salesperson was very helpful in suggesting options. Although the desired desk was not in stock the floor manager and store manager when above and beyond to offer an a reduced price for the desk that was in stock. Service was not so great at this location. For some reason this store is overly cluttered. The end caps always seem to be a mess, and their seasonal displays are a bit of a disaster. For this recent visit, I needed to return some defective magnets I had purchased, and they kept my entire receipt. They told me it was store policy to keep the entire receipt when you return one item. Seems a bit off to me. What if I had purchased a computer on that receipt? I'm just going to give it up? Overall, poor customer service and likely a poorly managed store due to the conditions. I've stopped shopping at this location due to it. read more

Good place for office or school supplies. I've always been able to find the product I was looking for. Reasonably priced. Large selection. Staff have been professional, but maybe a bit complacent. I am standing in the check-out line and was ignored by the person behind the counter. Someone else came up and asked if I was being helped. The phone rang. The person standing behind the counter mumbled under his breath, "do you sell paper", before picking up the phone. Probably an off-night for him. But I heard him. read more

I looked up this location to find out hours and was taken aback by the negative reviews.... I decided to give them a try for some custom printing I needed done... and am VERY GLAD I DID! Alex P. was who helped me out and he was fantastic! Professional, Patient and EXTREMELY helpful. Took the time I needed to get my project put together as I envisioned. I can't comment on the others bad experience but to say that in my opinion I have had nothing but GREAT EXPERIENCES when dealing with individuals, three different times, in their custom printing / project department. So disappointing. I counted at least 10 employees around the store, and yet no one asked me if I needed help or stopped walking and talking to each other when I asked them for help. Their conversations about store labels not printing automatically were too engrossing I guess. When I did get vague directions to the bankers boxes, no one offered to show me. There were no prices on the boxes or the shelves. I stood there and looked up the prices on my smart phone. No one helped me lift or carry, no one noticed when I left and came back in to get a cart to move the heavy case, and the cashier complained that I was buying a case of boxes instead of the retail unit...which since there was no label, price or help, I had no way of knowing. With three employees searching for a bar code, I had to point out the sku...an unknown concept to them. The cashier apologized for the lack of customer service, but admitted when asked that they were super busy with store stuff, and shopping later in the day would result in a better experience. This store along with many other Staples locations used to good places for electronics and office supplies but thanks to poor management over the last year things have changed for the worst. I bought a clearance item 2 weeks ago and went back to see if they had another and they did. Many items in their clearance area are not priced and you have to check with clerks. The clerk politely told me the price on the item is $20- I said I just bought the same thing last week for $10. I then ask the manager standing close by why the price had changed for the very same thing. I am told that prices can vary week to week on clearance items. I went home and called corporate Staples who then claimed that what I had looked at for a second purchase was really a different item and that's why the higher price. This was not accurate, as what I had looked at today was identical to my earlier purchase! One this is for sure. At Staples these days, THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT!!! read more

I have been a Staples Rewards card customer for decades but am tired of the inconsistent rewards and rebates, that I will take all of my future office purchases to Office Max. For the past 6 months, I have had not one positive experience from cashiers giving incorrect information which precluded rebates to online submissions which the confirmation email reflected were accurately submitted but the tracking number was in error to the inability to earn rewards unless spend at least $200 per calendar quarter and ink recycling $2 rewards are no longer available unless purchase ink for over $30.00 the PREVIOUS 6 months. If the cashier can get it right when it is a buy one get one free instant rebate to the website giving inaccurate tracking information, it is a huge waste of time. If they would have explained these new terms in advance at the time of purchase, I could have avoided throwing money away at Staples. Instead, I was rebuffed by the cashier as "not understanding it and to go online or call the 1-800#." In retrospect, if the cashiers had accurately explained the change, customers would not have purchased the product or recycled cartridges unless they knew they would qualify for the reward or rebate. read more
