On Sunday April 3rd I was looking for a business card service to create a card for my various jobs and hobbies. There is a great number business card suppliers online, but my solution was found a half mile away at my local STAPLES. Staples offers an amazing array of cards for every type of business and need. These also come at a very reasonable cost. Where Staples created the need for me to write a Yelp! is how their customer service was far exceeding many of the businesses I wrote about. Ordered on Sunday night, I picked up my cards (hopefully my picture will come out on this Yelp!) that we're able to represent the different ventures I pursue. Jessie, the Print and Marketing Supervisor put together my order. She thoroughly checked every card and threw in a few extra for my wait. She was kind, attentive and knowledgeable in her working with me. On a return visit, I met Ruth. An incredibly helpful and friendly cashier who told me about future sales for teachers and upon request, gave me the directions on how to complete a survey for them. I missed it by one day unfortunately. What was amazing about Ruth and this organization is that Ruth uses a walker to sit on and to get around with the wheels. This tells me that Staples hires diversity and recognizes hard work not disabilities. Finally, I have always loved this store and the various teacher solutions and technology solutions that is provides. Do Salatino, the general manager, runs a good ship, helping employees, shoppers and businesses meet their needs. read more

we return a few items and received a coupon that would provide $20 off if we made a purchase of $50 or more. If you read the fine print, you need to sign up for their website, but first have to download the app. We did this all at the register, then after about 3 minutes of this nonsense after waiting 15-20 minutes in line, we find out the $20 off is for our next visit. we purposefully went and bought a lmk office chair to save some money, and didn't even get the incentive which drove us to make the purchase. This was and is by far the most disingenuous marketing I've experienced and will not be returning to a staples ever again to make a purchase. I don't blame the specific Staples, but I absolutely blame Staples as a hole and the management. absolutely floored by the fine print BS. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in on a Monday early afternoon to the clay location. It was not busy at all. I spoke to the woman behind the printing counter that I needed some help with printing adjustments and that I wasn't technology savvy. She refused to help me. I stood there in awe of her response and really didn't know what to say. She said to go over to the machine and figure it out myself. Umm,ok. Well, again, I don't know how to make things a certain size and all the things I printed were wrong. She was literally talking to another worker about her weekend and how someone didn't need stitches... but couldn't come to help me after I asked. I will not return to this location again. read more

As I arrived, two associates were by front door; never greeted, which I thought was very rude & unprofessional. Proceeded to service area to email/fax documentation, the associate was nice but not very helpful. Once I was finished, I asked associate how long it possibly takes to get email confirmation, her response "I don't know". After waiting 24hrs, email never went through even after when machine confirmed it did & charged me regardless. I would never recommend using there services for emailing/faxing. Even the receipt stated they aren't responsible for undeliverable emails/faxes, but they are quick to take your money. read more

Helpful knowledgeable staff!! LOVE This staples!! I needed some help finding the right car cell phone charger at the right price. Mark the store's manager came to my rescue and his suggestions and knowledge were right on the mark. The one I had picked was not the one I ended up buying and I am so grateful because I usually end up with something that has more bells and whistles than I need and is priced way above what I whated to pay. With Mark's help I got just what I needed at a price I could afford. Also their copy center is just as spot on and you can order from home attach your file and they will call or email you when it is done....how easy is that? Yep this place is non-tech friendly but geek-tech good! read more

I had a very bad experience with some pictures I had printed, I came back in with my reciept and Darcy made everything completly right with me! I am very, very pleased with her and i would highly recommend her buisness to everyone!!! In my opinion she deserves a raise. We had a need to replace old laptop computer and so I went to staples Sunday morning to try and make a purchase and also to get some questions answered. I was waited on fairly promptly by a young man in a wrinkled T shirt and no name tag and I would love to tell you his name but he never bothered to introduce himself. I told him I was looking to replace a computer that was old and antiquated and my main question before going further was could I buy windows office as a separate program because it seemed to me lately that it has to be a subscription. Without even thinking he said Oh no you can buy it separately and then we went to look he seemed confused and said well I guess it's a subscription after all. Immediately he then said we have a service for $89 to transfer all of your old data and I instructed him that this was just a leisure computer and there was no data worth saving so I wouldn't need that function. Immediately following that conversation he informed me that all of the new drives are solid state and they normally fail within a year and the computer warranty would not probably be able to cover that because they would find a way to blame me and his solution was for me to buy an extended warranty, mind you I hadn't even decided to buy a computer yet and he's already trying to sell me after sale products. As the conversation ensued I kept trying to draw out information to make a purchasing decision and he kept telling me about all of the extended warranties and customer service agreements available at staples for a price. Finally in complete discouragement I told him that I felt I was all set for now and I left the store completely disillusioned. I know that newer employees need training and counseling and I am normally patient but this kid was just over the top and clearly it seemed to me that he was incentivized for selling the aftermarket products instead of giving me the solid customer service that I was seeking. If this is how their salespeople are hired and trained it looks like I'm going to be searching for a new computer store first. read more

I went here to use "print from email at kiosk" function for 10 quick copies. Only 1 copier working and that was being used by a woman apparently copying an entire paperback book (and restarting because she couldn't figure it out). 2 employees behind counter offered to help me and rattled off a lot of tech jargon about how I could have them print for me. I don't understand a lot of computer speak- that's why I was using their service. When I told them the document was not on my phone but that I had already emailed it to their service all I got was looks of disdain and sharp attitude. Instead of trying to assist me (no one else in their department except for paperback lady) they made me feel so uncomfortable that we left and drove all the way to Camillus where we were done in literally 1 minute with no issues. Please learn better customer service skills. read more

Copy machines weren't cooperating and the associate working had a long line of pissy people that he dealt with with patience and calmly. He helped me with my copying which was probably a pain for him. He was wonderful and so helpful. read more

I have been to Staples 3 times to print labels! Staples sells blank labels but you are unable to access the products website in store due to security reasons I'm told. You have to go home and create labels on desktop and then move file to Zip drive to bring back to store or you can print off at home. I don't have a printer nor am I going to print off 120 colored labels at home. Apparently moving the file to Zip drive is not sufficient because their computers won't recognize a file saved from product label. Once again I will have to return home and save file as pdf and bring back to store. I am no idiot and I am able to operate a computer. Every time I return to this store another employee tells me something different. Maybe Staples should print out directions for the products they sell if a customer is to use their printing services. read more

I went into the Clay store to find something that would help me with a stand that I could attach paper to so I could follow a pattern I was crocheting and to see about a eco tank printer. The young man helping me asked me about a mask. I told him that I have a medical condition that precludes me from wearing a mask. He was fine with that. And we did keep apart. He showed me an alternative and I was happy with that but the printer I wanted was not in stock at the store nor online. I told him I would look elsewhere and went up to the cashier. I place my two items on the counter and the cashier asked me about a mask. I told him (though I know he was in ear shot of me explaining to the other gentleman about my condition) that I have a medical exemption. He told me "no you don't" I told him yes I do. He said well, you can use curbside, etc. Well, he rang me up, didn't put my items into a bag, and threw down the receipt. He was extremely rude and arrogant. I shall never ever go to Staples in store or online. read more

Horrible customer service. Horrible tech support. Purchased a Lenovo ideapad 330 at recommendation of salesman, end of August. Within 2 weeks the nub of the charger broke off inside. Requested replacement or repair. Both were refused. Tech support refused to even look at it, then said I needed a $200 charging port...without even looking at it. Went to Best Buy, they took the nub out, it took 40 minutes, no charge. I just ordered my 4th charger, very poor design. Staples lost a longtime loyal customer. read more
