I brought my samsung galaxy s10 plus to cell phone for less for a screen repair on a saturday .Noone could hear me on my phone so i brought it back to them on wednesday.They fixed it then on Friday my screen was cracked. So i brought it back up there and they refused to fix it and pretty much said u must of dropped it i told them i didnt and noone uses my phone , they didnt care and pretty much told me i was screwed. It cost me 351.00 for my screen replacement for the same problem to happen. Solid customer service and friendly staff, very helpful. Replacement parts leave a bit to be desired. I'll preface this with the fact that I am planning on ditching this phone as soon as the new one comes out, and I just needed something cheap and easy to carry me until this September. If that sounds like you, these guys are the right choice. Had these guys fix a cracked phone (front and back) and, while quick and affordable, the replacement parts are rather low quality. Back glass seems perfectly fine, other than the fact that my MagSafe charging isn't as secure as it once was. I had major issues with my screen after it was fixed but the staff were quick to help me out, even gave me a most of my money back for the display (I had already taken the phone to apple to get an OEM screen put on, and could not get them to give me the screen from these guys to return for a proper refund; all in all I'd say this is fair). All in all Id recommend these guys if you need a cheap quick fix so you can still qualify for apples early upgrade program or a trade in promotion, but if you're looking for a long term repair, it's best to go to the apple store for genuine apple parts that'll last you. Hopefully soon the Right To Repair movement will reach a point where all of these small business owners can get their hands on genuine parts for proper fixes and we can stop relying solely on a tech giant like Apple for our repairs and give our money back to the local guys. read more

Ive brought taken my phone in a few time . After each repair I've alway had to return it for an additional repair , due to something they did during the first repair. The first 2 time since they caused the damage there wasn't any additional charge. Even with the inconvenience I still continue to use them because they would fix it with no additional charge. recently I brought my phone into repair which again an additional repair was needed due to something he did during the repair process. I was then charged additional fee which is unacceptable. It has only 4 day since I had paid over $200 for repairs and was told it was the battery which was replaced by them a few months ago. The rude sales woman lied to the manager stating it's been over a week to justify the charges, clearly she doesn't know that there are 7 days in a week . I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are ok with being inconvenienced , being over charged and ripped off . proceed with using them but you won't be happy! read more

Got the back of my phone fixed and I dropped it the next day from maybe 6 inches off the ground and the glass they put on completely shattered. Called to see if they could help, and they were rude on the phone about it. Would not recommend. Save up the extra money and go to apple. read more

Went in Wednesday 2/24/21 because my iPhone X screen had green pixel line and was glitching. The person at the counter said about an hour, common problem and we can fix it up for $125. So I hand over the phone. Come back, phones done, everything seems fine (except Face ID, figured I may have to reset it) I leave, get home, phone now says Face ID not available on this phone. Not a huge deal I'll go in when I can. Day later phone screen starts glitching again. This morning 2/27/21 I go in and explain what's going on, they take the phone to the back and I wait. Person comes out with my phone and I checked it. Still no Face ID and they ripped off the screen protector I just purchased from them and had them install. She goes back, then explained that when my phone originally "shorted" it shorted the Face ID. (Strange because it worked absolutely fine when the screen was shorted before the repair) I was already about to blow up so I said "whatever thanks, have a good one" and left. Short time later I go to read a text and the phone just keeps scrolling up. Non-stop. Now completely furious and lucky my girlfriend went in to handle the situation. They tried to say that it was because the phone shorted. She explained that it was working fine before we just want a refund. The they refunded about 50% of what I paid and actually asked if I wanted my old screen back for a full refund. My significant other asked why they have a broken screen from 4 days ago, they replied "well we might not, I don't know." What the... Moral of the story. Seems too good to be true, it probably is. I don't recommend them to buy a screen protector. Just go elsewhere. read more

I had two of my phones fixed here and my laptop fixed once! The first time my screen on my note4 had lifted off my phone, so that it wouldn't work. They put a new screen on and it worked great. Then my note8 screen cracked and they completely replaced that. Last week I spilled tea ALL over my laptop keyboard and brought it there right after. They took my laptop apart, cleaned it and it worked again. I am beyond thankful because all of my files were on there. I would highly recommend this place, they are professional and they work quickly (all repaired w/i 2 hours). read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the absolute worst experience with a company I've ever had. They put the wrong piece on my phone after already taking the original part off, so that it couldn't go back on. They then had to take the piece off leaving the back of my phone bare until I could go somewhere else to get it fixed. After finding another place to fix my phone he informed me that they broke a piece off the back of my phone that can't just be ordered by itself, I'd have to order a whole new casing for a tiny little flash cover that THEY BROKE! I spoke to someone on the phone before I went to fix my iPhone and the person on the phone told me it is $65 to fix the screen. I drove to store 12 miles to get there to save $10 and when I got there, the guy charged me $75. I told him, I was told $65 on the phone by the associate and he refused to work with me. So me and my mom ended up not being able to pick up my phone that day because we had other things to do. so my mom show up the next day on the 25th and I wasn't able to go with her because I ended up catching a fever. And she comes back wit my phone and my mic ended up still not being fixed till this day the 28th Then they obviously don't care about corona virus because they had people coming in with no mask. even the workers didn't have on a mask them selves. on the 24th my mom confronted them a dude with no mask standing mad close to my mom, just talking like there's no coronavirus pandemic in the world . I brought my two sons phones to cell phones for less on July 26 to get fixed one had a mic problem my other son had his cell phone screen broke and it didn't work they said that they was going to fix it needless to say they don't fix phones as fast as they say I had to wait a whole day only for my son phone to fall apart again a few days later I had my son get on the bus to go and get it fixed on his warranty and they said that he must have broke it and they don't fix screens after they fix it the first time I was sick so I had to wait until I was clear from the health department to go and get my son phone fixed they gave me a problem never fixed it and said they will charge me 60 instead of 75 so needless to say I declined because I'm not giving them any more free money I wasted a lot of gas and time going back and forth to the cell phone place my other son the one that his Mic was broke he took his phone back and they fixed it so they say this was just the other day and now it doesn't work again and he said I can't come back to fix the phone because it will black out so I gave him $126 for free I knew I shouldn't have went back to the store because when I had bought a phone from them July 5th it was refurbished a Samsung Galaxy 7 it was overheating and the screen went black every time I tried to turn it on I got my money back for that but didn't know they don't know how to fix phones as well this place is a waste of time and a waste of money if I could give them zero Stars that's what I would give them! read more

I would give a negative star if it were possible. I went in on Sunday the 16th around 5:15pm. I explained to the lady that my battery or charger port must be broken because it wasn't working. After waiting 20mins. Or so I was told it was the port and charged $60.00 plus tax to fix it. After waiting 15mins I was giving my phone and went home. I turned on the phone and not only did the charging port not work but my buttons weren't working either. So the next day after work I brought it back at 4:15pm. Told the same lady that I basically paid for them to break my phone even more. No apology or anything just "give me the phone" she said and told me she would call me at 5:15pm. Not only did I have to call her an hour and a half later, when i picked up the phone u wasn't offered a discount, an explanation nor an apology for wanting my time. 2/20/15 -Dropped off Ipad mini to kiosk at Destiny USA (first floor) with broken screen and the gentleman said that Ipads are his specialties! He explained to come back within a few hours and the device would be fixed. After several hours we returned to kiosk at Destiny USA, with a new screen but a broken device. The gentleman explain that he lost a piece inside the device and he cannot fix this. Now I am stuck with a new screen but a broken device! I refuse to ever give this company business. read more

My fiancee broke the glass over the screen on her HTC Droid Incredible a few weeks ago. We called HTC directly and Verizon but were not happy with the fact that both companies redirected us to third parties that involved shipping her phone, away with no guarantee on the actual cost of the repair, (We were quoted $140 or more depending on the "damage" when the tech looked at it). We found this place on Google and figured we would give them a call. They fixed it for $75.00 and quoted us 2hrs. They finished it in about an hour and a half and called to let us know it was done. Looked good as new on pickup. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a repair. They also sell used phone if yours is kaput. My daughter dropped my son's iPod and the screen cracked. We had miles so we just ordered a new one for him. The other day, my son dropped the new one and damaged the liquid crystal display. I took both iPods to cell phones 4 less and it is usually $65 per iPod to replace the screens but since I had two, they only charged me $60 each. (A kiosk at carousel mall wanted $85 to fix ONE) I dropped the iPods off around 11am and they gave me a receipt and said they would be ready at 4pm. Service was prompt and efficient. Reasonably priced repair at 100 dollars plus the 10 dollars off check in discount. I can't comment on the sales aspect of the store but it seems like a good place of business. read more

went in to destiny location today....looking for non-contract plan and middle of road phone.....me and the associate picked one out and began the process of switching over my #....she was very courteous and polite....after a few "I.T." issues as well as some others we were slowly getting there,no fault of her own .....with a good 45 minutes burned up looked to be in the home stretch..then she said there was a price issue,the system was not deducting for THE ADVERTISED PRICE...she made a call,and then another.. she was not autorized to make price revisions.....now we are an hour in.... and growing a bit antsy,on one of the calls she explained to the manger how long this was taking and how patient i was....and finally a resolution !!!!!! that promo ended tHE MANAGER WOULD NOT HONOR THE ADVERTISED PROMO To compensate for the $30 difference and the hour and 19 minutes spent on the 8 minute transaction...(wait for it!!) THE MANAGER AUTHORIZED A FREE CELL PHONE CASE AND LENS CLEANING CLOTH !!!! JACKPOT BABY!!!!!!! Don't go here. The only good thing about this place is that it only takes 10 minutes to fix a cracked screen. I replaced mine before going back to school and 3 weeks later as soon as I was a 20 hour drive away the screen started to malfunction. The display was distorted and the keyboard rarely worked. I'm typically not one to put a business on blast publicly for bad service or shady business practices but I would hate to see anyone deal with the service and issues I encountered at Cell Phones For Less on James St in Syracuse. FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS POST TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, IT VERY WELL MAY SAVE THEM THE B.S I JUST HAD TO DEAL WITH THERE ... So After leaving my iPhone 6s for a screen replacement, it took dropping it back for several hours each time.... 3 MORE times to address an issue / additional damage to my phone which their technician caused, I can't begin to express how much I would highly NOT Recommend for anyone to take your phone there for any repair. After the girls at the counter making false excuses about the issue they caused, 7-8 calls to speak with the owner over a 2-3 week period with detailed messages left for him, and NOT ONE CALL WAS RETURNED FROM THE OWNER ... I finally was able to speak with him directly to try to rectify the situation but only because he happened to be the one to answer the stores phone. I'm now left with an iPhone 6s with no fingerprint Id Capability because they use cheap quality parts from China which shouldn't be used in an apple device are the "top quality parts..." their company uses for repairs. Their technician broke my home button / finger print scanner while replacing the screen which also had several issues only working 75% of the time before I would have to restart my phone. I Was given the run around for 5-6 weeks, all for him to offer to rectify the situation by selling me a used phone, that was more expensive than it is offered for sale brand new from Apple... because he said he would give me a "great deal on it" because of the issues / damage they caused and cannot fix .... wait... a used iPhone at a "great deal" for more than Apple would sell it new for with no contract and a warranty? I would highly recommend to any of my family and friends to never do business with any of their stores, Destiny USA, James St, Or Shop City Plaza. I brought my phone to the Syracuse location for broken glass. I waited and they had it done in about an hour. When I got home and tried to take a picture I was surprised to find they had broken the rear facing camera. I took it back, they changed out the camera and I went home again. When I went to take a close up picture I realized the new, much lower quality camera did not focus. I called and was told to bring it in first thing the next day. When I did I was told they would need my phone for 5 hours to get it fixed and they couldn't bump me up the list and they didn't make appointments. Well I needed my phone that days so I kept it over the weekend and during that time found out that my home button now rotated and when I picked up calls the screen would not go dark so I was pressing buttons with my face. When I brought it back the next week I waited over an hour while they worked on it and when they said it was done I checked the camera that still did not focus. They then said they would need to keep it for another four hours. When I came back the home button was still broken and the screen still does not dim when I pickup calls. It is not worth taking anything there if they are going to cause three times the damage they were asked to repair and waste that much of my time. read more

I brought in my iphone 6 to have them replace the screen. I explained MULTIPLE TIMES that I knew the phone had water damage but in order to get a new phone for free my cell phone service wouldn't accept the phone with the small crack it had on the display. I TOLD THEM THIS, MANY MANY TIMES. They were too busy interrupting me to say "okay okay we got it" and They tell me the screen will be fixed at 8 pm (just a few hours after I dropped it off) I come back at 7:45p and the tell me they were unable to fix my phone because it had water damage and that went against their policy. . . . . . I asked why didnt the lady assisting me earlier tell me this, and they say she probably didn't understand that I knew it was broken, but i so clearly explained that the phone was broken MULTIPLE TIMES. They say that they can fix the phone but I dont get a warranty since it's broken. I say OKAY, i just need the screen fixed so I can get my new phone. Now the repair guy is gone, he left early!!!!! How is that possible when I wasnt even supposed to pick up my phone until 8:00. This was a waste of my time, and I am STILL phoneless. The people who work here SUCK AND ARE RUDE. read more

These ppl In my opinion are the worst!! I was having problems with my iPhone5 camera taking blurry pics. Called the guy and told him what the issue was he told me easy fix. So I go there and he tells me my screen need to be replaced cause it was coming apart from frame. Ok so dropped off he told me to come back in an hour. Came back-Waited another 1/2 hour when I got there just to find out they COULD NOT FIX the camera said it must be the mother board however fixed the big ticket item (screen). Then asked me what I wanted to do. Um what can I do now -u already fixed the screen however my big issue and original problem was the camera. They should've waited until I got there if they knew they couldn't fix camera since that was my main issue to begin with. I've given these ppl a lot of business over the years-NEVER AGAIN!! Oh and I ended up paying 70 dollars and some change just for screen- which to me was useless cause camera still messed up -maybe next time they'll ask the person first if they aren't able to fix everything-give the person the option!! read more
